Use a grill, put bread on it. You'll get toast.

take a pan, put it on a lit stove, add ghee, put bread, apply bit of it on top too if you want, let it get toasted, flip it when one side does, eat it when both side gets toasted.

in my house we make 2 types of toast....1 where we soak the bread in beaten egg and milk and fry it in oil....and the other where we dont use the milk and just use beaten egg with the bread covered with onions and green chillies....

i was about to advice to raise your glass and say "kampai"
    but welp,

hell are you busy on the phone that you can't even check if your toasts are done in the pan?
it only takes a few seconds,
    just heat up the pan,
    put your bread,
check your bread if the other side is brown, and if it is flip it,
then check again after some time.

Making toast in a pan requires butter.

Store bought bread is what I am assuming.

You can use any kind of pan, stick or non-stick pan. You can use butter but its not a necessity. You want to place the bread on the pan and then turn the heat on to medium low. You don't need high heat or immediate high heat as the bread will just immediately caramelize to the pan. Don't smash the bread into the pan, like how you would a beef patty on a grill to push out oil or trying to cook it faster. Just medium heat and let it slowly brown. It can take a little bit of time about 4-5 minutes on each side, more depending on the color your after. When its toasted the bread moves freely on the pan with minimal pressure with a spatula or fork.

    i see. . . .
    you're cooking level is F. . . .
and can somehow make boiling water explode!!??
    but welp,
just monitor it when cooking on the pan, and i'm pretty sure it won't burn. . .
