Request Can anyone recommend me good rpg games for 3ds?

My cousin give me 3ds as a gift, and I'm not familiar with this portable gamesas imI not really fan of portable handheld games console , i always play video games in my pc or console
So can you recommend me some good games for this console? The only games i know are Pokémon, rune factory and harvest moon games, as i big fan of those series besides suikoden ( and as far as iknow there's no any newer suikoden games that published in English that i haven't played yet )

I think you should google it and then pick game that interest you and see game trailer.

 

Apparently Monster Hunter counts as an rpg, so look for Monster Hunter 3U/4U/Generations.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, which is a remaster of the WiiU original

A bunch of Dragon Quest Remakes
Monster Hunter series

They're the ones I would consider recommending.

Tales of the abyss and the other tales series. It has a very good story though it's a shame I don't have time to finish it.

 

Well, with a 3 DS you kinda chose one of the worse consoles for this... Nindo does very little triple A titles and iirc none of them are on their handhelds.

There should be a bayonetta somewhere and ofc pokemon is there for you.
FE is kinda nice but they arent exactly traditional RPGs.
Monster Hunter is meh, its great gameplay wise but it has no story. If you want a challenge play MH with XX/GU being the newest installation.
SMT as a game can be complete bullshit, but it has a nice difficulty to it.
Xenoblade is something I actually do recommend avoiding, unless you want to fall asleep, then its great.

 

Good suggestions. Surprised nobody mentioned Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, it was a great enhanced port, you can even get the original art from the DS version. The Alliance Alive, was really fun as well. 7th Dragon III was decent.

 

Played them on my playstation, but lack of story make me only play it for a short time

Yeah sorry, it's not published in english. I only played the ps2 undub version

 

Tales of the Abyss was actually released in English on 3DS.

I need to reiterate, Radiant Historia is truly a great game. It's got the political intrigue of a Suikoden game, with a Time Travel aspect like Chrono Trigger. You navigate the game with branching paths, going back to fix mistakes, and access Side Quests that are unlocked when you gain more information.

Yup, I let my friend play my copy a few years back. It spurred her desire to play a bunch of the other games in my collection. It's actually how I found out my GBA Tales of Phantasia was missing, and had to replace it at great cost. ;.;
It's a shame she couldn't play Tales of Destiny 2(JP) because of the language barrier.
