Book 1 Chapter 7: The First Meeting of Jinghua and The Demon King
The next morning, Jinghua woke up way earlier than usual. She was the type that wakes up at the softest noise, which made her wake up far too early for her liking.

In other words, Junghua wasn't in a very good mood because she didn't get enough sleep.

Which explains why the mood and aura surrounding Jinghua's room make both Qingshan and Mi Ling shivering in cold, not even knowing why.

Jinghua didn't participate in this world's spiritual martial arts that let out spirit Qi but her internal martial arts was more than enough to cause the instinct of men to shiver in fear.

Jinghua, in terms of strength and stamina, Jinghua wasn't that strong compared to Mi Ling and Qingshan. However, comparing their control over their 'muscles' and Jinghua's control, you can see that her control was far more proficient and easier. In fact, the control of her internal arts allows her to control her muscles to a degree that will make the modern 25th century Chinese Martial Arts and gymnast professional jaw drops in admiration.

In her time, the so-called Olympic record was so far on her target that she didn't bother paying attention to it.

However, here, she was so weak that she didn't even know how to do Spiritual Martial Arts. Well, dude, since she doesn't even know what Spiritual Qi was formed from! She tried it by copying Mi Ling's training method that he teaches their siblings but it wasn't working. She knew it instinctually the first time that she tried.

What Jinghua didn't know was that it wasn't that she can't participate in Spiritual Martial Arts. It was that something else is preventing her body from gaining the spirits in the air from entering her body. Right, it was the Pearl inside her that was preventing her from gaining Spirits Qi.

    However, Jinghua doesn't care.

Why? Jinghua doesn't plan on involving with this world's political community. By that, she means that she doesn't care about political powers. Jinghua doesn't plan on involving people who are involved with politically powerful people. It was a pain in the ass trying to hide your identity afterward so Jinghua just decided to not be involved in them. She's fine not being rich in this world.

She had enough experiences of what being rich did to her in her old life to last her another thousand years... if she lived that long in the first place.

Well, whatever. For now, Jinghua doesn't care much about anything else aside from the fact that her mood was getting very dark from the noises outside her room. Her sensitive ears don't help her much right now.

Jinghua doesn't know what is going on in this Inn but the noise was going to make her flip the table out of her room.

Her mood darkens as the noise got even louder.

A knock sounded through her room.

    "Hua'er?" Qingshan's voice called.

"Yes, Big brother?" Jinghua answered, curious as to why her brother was calling her.

"Can I come in?" He asked, with a somewhat tired voice.

Jinghua blinked in confusion as she opened the door. In front of the door was Mi Ling and Qingshan, looking very tired but with a somewhat wane look. Did something happen?

"Hua'er, how's your sleep?" Mi Ling, who noticed the somewhat dark mood around Jinghua asked, with a somewhat worried tone on his cold face.

"... Not very good." She answered honestly. Her mood wasn't getting any better as her sensitive ears were met with a countless amount of noises from the dining room, which was a floor directly below theirs.

The looks in the two brothers' eyes were of curiosity. They wonder what caused their younger sister's mood to be that bad.

"Ah, right. Please, come in, big brothers," Jinghua opened the door for the two brothers and invited them in.

Both brothers sit in the guest chairs in the room that was all the way to the wall.

They both sign out loud with a somewhat tired face.

It seems like they didn't get much sleep last night.

"Big brothers?" Jinghua asked, somewhat curious about their visit.

"Hua'er, there's a big shot that wanted to buy all the snow ferrets that we gathered from the kills two nights ago," Mi Ling said as his usually cold face turned solemn with a somewhat tired look in his eyes.

"..." She looks at her brother. What?

"Sorry, Hua'er... I know that you wanted to save the furs of the snow ferret to make a set of clothing for yourself... but... this big shot was too powerful for normal people like us to reject." Mi Ling looked very guilty as he closed his eyes.

"... huh..." Jinghua didn't care that someone wanted to buy the furs from her but what she didn't understand was how did that big shot know that she had the furs in the first place? True, she had skinned all the snow ferrets off their fur, separating the meats and everything else from the furs the very next day from that night. However, how did that big shot know that she had it?

"Big brother, how did that person know that I have the furs?" Jinghua asked with a tilt of her head, in a somewhat cute way that makes both Mi Ling and Qingshan's brotherly protective instinct shouted out "Very adorable, Hua'er~!". For some reason, both Mi Ling and Qingshan found that ever since a couple of months ago, they were finding Jinghua to be very adorable lately.

Both brothers don't know what to make of this. They didn't interact with this sister of theirs before so was Jinghua always like this? Both brothers can't comprehend why Jinghua was so... cute as of late. Is this why Tang Beifeng was so crazy about their sister ever since she was little? Because Tang Beifeng knew that Jinghua was always very cute and adorable?

Both brothers started to feel hatred toward Tang Beifeng. To think that in a couple of years, when she reaches 16 years old, she would be married to the Tang family. Both brothers don't know why but they don't like that.

Mi Ling snaps out of his thinking at Jinghua's question.

"Ah, the snow ferret Xue Qi told him," Mi Ling answered with a sweat drop on his cold face.

"What happens to Xue Qi?" She noticed that the snow ferret's presence wasn't with her brother.

"The government is looking after him now since he is a living witness to the... Abyss beast. They need him to guide the immortal that will be coming today toward the location where those Abyss Beasts are. After that, I think that Xue Qi will have to go with the immortal to their sect." Mi Ling answered, not caring at all whatsoever about the snow ferret.

"... so the big shot wanted to buy the furs..." Jinghua concluded after a couple of seconds of silence in the room.

"Yes. They will come to this Inn today. In fact, in a couple of hours. Which is why all the workers in the Inn are running all over the place trying to clean everything as clean as possible." Mi Ling answered anxiously.

"Hmm. Then, big brother Mi Ling, you can trade it with them. I don't want to be anywhere near those big shots." Jinghua said as her voice turned timid... of course, this was all an act.

Both Qingshan and Mi Ling knew that Jinghua was very introverted so they didn't want to make her show herself but this time, they don't have a choice.

"Sorry, Hua'er... Xue Qi told them that the one that killed all the ferrets wasn't me nor Qingshan but it was you so... he was very interested in meeting you." Mi Ling closed his eyes as he internally signed out loud.

"Huh?" Jinghua stupidly gawked at her brother, before assuming her so-called timid personality of what is to expect from an introvert.

She hyperventilated from the nervous breakdown. Her acting was so real that it sent her brothers into panics.

"Hua'er?!" Both Mi Ling and Qingshan's expressions turn pale as they hear the hyperventilating from their younger sister.

Qingshan, the ever doting brother, was more than afraid that his sister might faint. He didn't know why Jinghua had always hidden her faces away from them but he did know that aside from Tang Beifeng, no one else had ever seen their sister's full expression. They didn't even know how their sister's personality got to be like this in the first place.

Back when she was still only four years old, Qingshan swore that Jinghua wasn't this timid. Truth, Jinghua had always been shy of strangers but she wasn't this timid. Qingshan wondered what caused her personality to turn this way. Was it because of Tang Beifeng? If so, Qingshan was going to kill that man, regardless of his status as her fiance.

Truthfully, Jinghua and Qingshan's personalities are pretty alike but unlike Jinghua who doesn't even like to meet her own family, Qingshan was quiet but he's a doting brother. He spoils all his younger sisters so much that he got the nickname of "The Dotest Brother" in their hometown.

Jinghua takes a deep breath to calm herself. Since she's already sitting down, she didn't need to act like she's going to faint to scare her brother.

The room was so quiet that Jinghua could hear the heartbeats of her brothers. Jinghua didn't say anything as she chews her lips in worry and clenches her fist in nervously. Both brothers look at each other in worry.

"Ahh..." Jinghua sighs out loud, making both her brothers look at her with worry in their eyes.

"Damn it," Jinghua cussed, surprising her brothers since she had never cussed before.

Both Qingshan and Mi Ling exchange look with sweats on their forehead.

"Hua'er?" Qingshan was worried that his sister's going to go crazy from fear of interacting with strangers.

"Fine... I will... come with you both. But, I won't talk to them so you both will have to talk with them instead," Jinghua said with a somewhat of a pout in her voice, making both brothers sign out loud in relief.

They nodded. That's fine. They could do the talking.

A couple of hours later, right after Jinghua passed out the boys their breakfast since they refused to eat the breakfast that the Inn prepared, Jinghua and Mi Ling were sitting on a table, waiting for the so-called big shot to show up. Qingshan also wanted to wait with them but Mi Ling ordered him to take the kids to the outer city to train. So, Qingshan left hesitatingly. Leaving Jinghua and Mi Ling to meet with the big shot.

The workers had brought them their wines and a plate of snacks to go along with the wine but Jinghua didn't even touch the wine since she didn't like it. The taste wasn't refined and it had a very roughed taste to it.

Mi Ling, however, likes it very much. The first jar was free so he didn't let this chance go, after all, Mi Ling was one of the biggest drinkers in their family. However, since they're just a commoner that was a bit better off than everyone else, Mi Ling was sensitive enough to know that he can't waste their hard-earned money just because he likes to drink.

Which was why he's pretty damn happy that he got free wine. Mi Ling slowly savors the wine with a somewhat happy face. Jinghua didn't know whether she should sigh out loud or should she laugh at him. The wine doesn't even taste that good. The refined taste is like raw egg mixed with beer and sugar cane but with a bitter taste.

    It tastes disgusting. Very disgusting.

Which was why Jinghua fermented her own rice wine at home right now.

A commotion from the door draws both Jinghua and Mi Ling's attention.

The manager of the Inn was being very respectful toward someone that was coming inside.

"Your Highness, this way please," An old man said with a small smile and slowly walked in a very respectful way as he guided the guest toward the second floor's dining table, where most of the rich people are. Jinghua didn't even bother looking at them as she continued to slowly savor their snacks. The snack was a kind of nut of some kind that tastes like walnut and peanut at the same time. A weird combination but a great one nevertheless.

In another world, this snack, Jinghua had never seen it before. It looks like a premature strawberry but tastes like walnut and peanut. She's very interesting in this world's food.

"Oh my, it was you," A somewhat familiar voice called from behind Jinghua since she was sitting facing away from the door.

Jinghua turned to see an elderly man in a dark blue robe. Jinghua blinked.

Why is this old man here? This old man was the one that gave Jinghua the three abnormal universe bags.

Jinghua blinked with a tilted of her head. Totally staying silent.

"Hua'er?" Mi Ling asked, somewhat surprised that Jinghua knew this Immortal, because, clearly, that robe was from the Largest Sect in Wuzhi, the Long Wu Sect. The only sect that has interaction with mortals daily since it belongs to the loyalty of this very nation.

How did his little sister get to know someone from the Long Wu Sect?

"Oh? So, your name is Hua," The old man grinned with a smile that almost looked insane.

"..." Jinghua looked at her brother with a look that said, why do you have to call me by my name?! Mi Ling's cold face sweat drops as he blinked with a somewhat guilty look in his eyes.

"Hahahahaha!" The old man laughed out loud with a very happy face. Although that happiness might be a bit screwed with insanity.

"..." Jinghua ignored the old man. The last time she went against her instinct of leaving the old man alone, she had to cook for a total of 5 hours worth of food. Although, she totally uses the Oldman as her first 'victim' for her food recipes.

What? Well... it was because Jinghua didn't have anyone to test all the sauces that she made so the old man was her first victim. After all, she didn't want to accidentally poison her own brothers.

[A/N: ... Don't blame me. This is her personality.]

"Grandfather? What are you doing? Let's go," A very low and deep voice asked. For some reason, this voice reminded Jinghua of that Korean singer from Immortal Song ... season 2? What was his name again? JK... JK... What was it again? JK Kim? That singer from the 21st century that has that deep voice of his.

The one that sings that one song called Family Portrait, The one in that one group of three singers that sings the song Sin and Punishment... What was his name again? Jinghua tilted her head as her memories traveled backward toward all the songs that she had listened to.

Ah, Kim Jo Ho. Right. His name was Kim Jo Ho. The only singers from the 21st century that Jinghua can remember.

The person's voice reminds Jinghua of Kim Jo Ho... Only, Kim Jo Ho's voice doesn't have the menacing feeling in it. And besides, Kim Jo Ho was a singer while the voice behind Jinghua sounded like someone who was used to ordering people around.

Speaking of Kim Jo Ho, Jinghua recalled that he was in a band called SG Wannabe, right? Their songs were so popular that it had been remastered and remade a lot of times. Even when the original was converted into a data desk and make a Music Discovery about it.

Jinghua especially like Sin and Punishment, Lived, Timeless, and a lot of other songs from that group. What? Of course, Jinghua can speak Korean. She's fluent in more than 10 languages so she has no trouble understanding Korean.

This aura, Jinghua was very familiar with since Shiny had used a lot. The voice of someone that has the power to command.

Jinghua didn't bother turning around but she could see the shock look in her brother's eyes. What? Is the man that scary?

Well, whatever. Jinghua wasn't interested in him so she didn't bother turning to see who it was that was behind her.

"Ah, Yang'er, This is the girl that I told you last week. Come here, she's very interesting." The old man laughed as he grins in that near-insane look of his. The interest in the old man's eyes makes Mi Ling frown as his eyes turn cold.

"Grandpa, we don't have time for that. We have an appointment already," The man called Yang'er sight out loud. However, his eyes land on the sitting girl and raise his eyebrows. There was this distinct aura around the girl that piqued his interest a bit.

Maybe it was because of Jinghua's indifferent manner or maybe it was because of the aura that he feels from the girl. There was no spiritual qi from the girl at all but for some reason, there was a very sharp yet muted aura of coldness surrounding her that reminded him of his teacher when he's in a very bad mood.

In a mood that will result in the other party's death by thousands of lives.

This was the aura that Changyang had long ago learned to recognize.

The aura of an ultimate killer.

Yet, there is no smell of blood on this girl at all.

All people that had killed before will have a smell of human blood regardless of the time that had passed by. This girl's aura was so distinct but there was no smell...

    Who is this girl?

"Hey, Hua girl, this is my grandson. He's very handsome, right? Wanna be his wife?" The old man suddenly asked, causing both Mi Ling and Changyang to nearly drop their mouths.

"No," Jinghua answered clearly. Not too loud but not soft either.

"Eh? You haven't even taken a look at him yet. Don't be so fast to reject it," The old man looks like he was pouting. What the hell? How old are you old man?

Changyang narrowed his eyes at his grandfather. The chill of spirit qi that Changyang let out raises the goosebumps on Jinghua's neck. She had a feeling that a gun was pointing at her back. However, Jinghua had lived for 20 years of her life living with death itself as an assassin. She long ago learns to accept the death that could come anytime for her so she wasn't afraid of dying.

Jinghua froze for a split second as her body reacted to the chill but after that, she continued to play with the snack on her plate. However, she can't say the same for Mi Ling.

The fear and terror in Mi Ling's eyes were as clear as day. Jinghua takes a look at him and nearly sighs out loud. Instead, Jinghua picks one nut of the snack and throws it to Mi Ling's face, causing him to jerk back to awareness.

Jinghua tilted her head to the said as she looked at her brother. Mi Ling was still very much shivering in fear but his awareness and the girl in front of him made him slowly calm down.

"Hua'er already engaged." Mi Ling answered as he clenched his fist.

"Eh? Then cancel it," The old man waved as if it was something like a play that needed to be terminated. A vein popped up in Mi Ling's forehead as his eyes turned cold. He glared at the old man but didn't have the strength to do anything else.

"Old man," Jinghua narrowed her eyes as her body posturally turned lethal in a way that made Mi Ling's eyes widen in fear. And this time, it wasn't because of cold spiritual qi. It was because of the dark distinctive tone from his sister.

"Even if your grandson is the King of God or the Son of God, I couldn't care less. Now, what exactly do you want?" The coldness from Jinghua caused the old man's pupil to dilate in astonishment.

When his eyes met with the coldness and the promise of something far more sinister than anything that he had ever seen before was reflected from her eyes, the old man didn't know how to respond to that.

Behind Jinghua, the subject of Jinghua's rejection eyes was clearly looking at Jinghua now with even more interest than before. There were surprises in his eyes as he looks at the girl who faces he hasn't even seen.

Okay, Changyang really shouldn't be feeling like this. This feeling wasn't a feeling that Changyang should feel just from this one small meeting. The feeling that a black hole was opening somewhere in his heart and soul, was making Changyang don't know how to act.

"Well?" The girl asked again, this time with annoying lacing her voice.

"..." The old man looks at Jinghua and blinks in awkwardness. He doesn't know how to answer that question himself. If he changes the subjects then it means that he loses to the girl's willpower. However, if he keeps going then he will make Yang'er madder asides from being embarrassed and rejected.

The old man looks at Changyang, only to see a strange expression on his face that makes an alert sound in his mind.

"Don't you have an appointment to meet? Why are you still here?" Annoyance was placed into her voice, carrying the weight that was more than enough to snap both the old man and Changyang out of their awkwardness. Changyang blinks as he remembers why he was here in the first place.

Changyang was here to catch some Snow Ferret for his brother's 3rd wife, who was now pregnant and will soon give birth. The snow ferret's fur was supposed to make the newborn's cloth this year since there isn't any extra material left in the palace.

When he got to Snow Mountain, there was no sight of any snow ferret to be found. For a whole 4 days, he and his men search the top of the mountain to the bottom of the mountain for any sight of a snow ferret.

There was none that could be found.

Having no choice, he called his grandfather and had the old man search with himself, after all, it is for his great-grandson after all. No matter how lazy and insane he is, the old man was the previous Emperor of this nation.

When his grandfather got there, they searched and found traces of fighting between dozens of snow ferrets and traces of Abyss beast. Once they find the trace of the Abyss beast, Changyang totally forgets about why he was looking for the snow ferret and concentrates on finding it, to kill it once found. It was his responsibility as one of the Princes toward this nation.

However, all they found were dozens of mutating corpses of other animals and smaller beasts that didn't make it through the mind manipulation from the Abyss Beast. There was no corpse of any Abyss Beasts of any kind to indicate that the beast was dead. Which can only mean that the Abyss beast was getting stronger and stronger as days went by!

As each day goes by, the beast will only get stronger while the spiritual beast in this region will only get weaker. This has caused both Changyang and the old man to concentrate more and more efforts on finding it.

Yet, the traces of the Abyss Beasts vanished into thin air when a couple of hours passed by after they found those corpses.

Seeing no other opinion left, Changyang decides to ask the government in this small town for more information concerning disappearing cases of animals and humans alike in this region of the mountain.

However, fate must have been on their side as they met face-to-face with one of the Elders of the Snow Ferret that just happened to know human languages and was cultivating in an Immortal way alongside a human who survived the calamity of being chased by an Abyss Beast.

Imagine his surprise when he learned that they were mere humans who not only survived the chase of the beast but also happened to save the last survival of the Snow Queen Ferret's bloodline. Tao Mi Ling and his brother, Tao Qingshan, are mere mortals human who wasn’t even a phase two warrior, was able to save a snow ferret that even immortal cultivators of phrase two or three can't do much against.

True, those Snow Ferrets were already on their last breath before meeting the two brothers and their groups but nonetheless, that group of Snow Ferret was being manipulated by one or more Abyss Beasts. So, for them to be able to fight head-to-head against the Snow Ferrets, it was a testament to their strengths.

However, Changyang was more impressed with the girl in front of him now than when he was when he first met Tao Qingshan. This girl was called "Hua'er" by Tao Mi Ling.

Well damn, this was very interesting. In a way that shouldn't be.

His instinct and intuition were telling him that this girl was very important...

The only question is; was that importance coming from himself or from this situation.

At the Government's office since he have to go there to get more information about the missing snow ferrets in the Snow Mountain. I thought that I implied that pretty okay but I guess not. I will edit it later.

Book 1 Chapter 8: Dead? Who is?

Jinghua had wished that she could just screw the meeting with the Big shot and go back to her room to sleep. Her mood wasn't good. Her lack of sleep was making her lethargic in both her mood swings and her personality. She feels like a pregnant woman in her mood swags, it is unpredictable as hell. There was no telling what kind of aura she would emit as it changes nearly constantly.

She really has a hard time keeping up with the former Jinghua's personality when she's this sleepy. This was proven to be very badly perceived too since a lot of people near her now are very sensitive toward changes. Especially that old man and the man behind her.

Tao Mi Ling looks at the man behind his little sister's back. Who at the moment, was looking at her with a complicated expression in his eyes, and immediately, a somewhat dreadful feeling started to emerge from the deep of his heart. The man's expression was totally expressionless, like a block of wood. But his eyes say more than needed.

He hopes that this man wasn't interested in his sister. With the man's background, there was no way that they could afford to annoy him. Just by looking at the garment that he was wearing, Mi Ling knew right away that this man wasn't someone that they can afford to offend!

Tao Mi Ling has never seen a garment of that design before, but he can tell that the materials used to make it were expensive.

The man behind his sister looks way younger than he should be. If judging by his looks alone, Mi Ling would reckon that the man looks like he's a boy, not a man.

The man looks like he was in his 15th years, not older. However, Tao Mi Ling wasn't so ignorant that he would believe that the man was merely a boy. The aura that he gave out along with his very presence demanded respects and awe! This is the presence of someone who had already experienced what life was like out in the world! There was no way that someone like that would be called a boy!

Tao Jinghua didn't see the man behind her but judging by her brother's expression, the man must be very young or incredible. She didn't care either way.

Hmm? What is this? Jinghua turned her head toward the window. Not even knowing when the light outside had already darkened and the wind started to pick up. There were signs of snow falling down, as the wind blew harder and harder.

"It's snowing?" Jinghua whispered with a confused voice. Her voice was so small that Tao Mi Ling nearly didn't hear it. However, the old man and the man behind her can hear her clearly. They turned to the window and both their eyes narrowed dangerously as they saw the fresh snow.

    This isn't a joke!

It was now in the middle of the summer! How could it snow? Something must've happened deep in the Mountain Xue for it to snow this far away.

Mountain Xue from Xue Chengsi wasn't that far away but it wasn't near either. Flying with the Nine Wings Bird was faster than foot traveling and yet, it still took a while. If viewed in distance using miles, there are more than 250 miles between the two of them.

Xue Chengsi was called Snow City because of being the nearest city within the velocity of Mountain Xue. Aside from that, it was because the first City Lord was called Xue Fanghua. Other than that, there wasn't much connection.

This town had never snowed in the summer before. This was the first time. So, it is imaginable that people will panic when situations that never happened before happen.

"Snow?" Tao Mi Ling was also shocked. He had seen snow before. However, this was the first time that he had seen snow in the summer. And of this color.

A thought suddenly enters Jinghua's mind. There was no way that this snow is normal. Asides from how it looks, there was another thing that caused Tao Jinghua to tense slightly.

A thought entered her mind as consequences, causes, and effects flashed by. One word inter her mind; The Abyss Beast.

"Big brother, where are Qingshan and the boys?" Jinghua asked, making Mi Ling jump in realization.

"Shit!" Mi Ling cussed without a care as he jumped up from his seat and ran toward the door.

"Hua'er, go back to your room!" He ordered before he vanished with a movement martial arts, the Vanish Step. The only martial arts manual that the Tao family has.

Jinghua blinked. Well... She didn't think that Tao Mi Ling would be in this panic...

She closed her eyes for a second as she put the snack into her mouth and chew, tasting the after-effects that come out from the fruit? Nut? No idea if this was a fruit or a nut. Well, whatever.

Finishing her snacks, Jinghua stands up from her chair and walks toward her room, totally ignoring the two men behind her. Their eyesight never left the girl as she made her way to her room, even when she was totally ignoring them. In fact, she had already forgotten that the old man and his grandson hadn't left and was watching her.

No, that's a lie. She knows that they are still here but she couldn't care less. However, no matter how much she didn't care about the two men, the way that the man called Yang'er was looking at her made her back shiver in coldness. Not cold as in fear or intimidated but cold as in heated cold. The kind of cold that makes people sweat in heats. The kind that she doesn’t want to know about.

The heat from his eyes made Tao Jinghua scared for the first time since she came to this world. The way that he looked at her made her mind numb. It reminds her of a certain someone. And that caused her heart to ache in a way that made Tao Jinghua want to just stab it and take it out.

It would have been less painful that way.

She didn't want to stay near this man any longer than necessary.

Both Jinghua and Shangyang haven't even seen each other fully yet and Jinghua had already instinctually decided that she didn't want to be anywhere near the man. She didn't know why either. Neither does Shangyang. Shangyang knew that he was very interested in this girl, who looked like she's only 13 years old. He knew that she’s important but to who? Himself?

For reasons unknown, her very presence made his heartbeat with life.

What is this? What is this feeling? Shangyang wondered as his fist tightened to himself with every step that the girl took away. Each step that she took syncs with his heartbeat, making it strangely hurts.

Just before the girl vanishes from his sight, a blast of cold wind knocks the windows open. Sending lanterns on the ceiling to come down.

    "!"

“Look out!” Shangyang vanished from his spot and pulled Jinghua into his arm just as a large lantern dropped right where she used to be.

A sharp electric sensation shoots up Shangyang’s body as he touches Jinghua, sending his heart to a near stop for a second. Shangyang’s eyes widened in that split second, making his body cold and his lips trembled slightly.

Jinghua didn’t notice the trembling of Shangyang’s body but the old man’s eyesight was far too good to let that pass by. No matter how small that trembles of Shangyang’s body was, the fact that the spiritual forces coming out of Shangyang’s body at that very moment were caused by this girl, was already enough to cause the Oldman to gasp in shock.

It wasn’t a small thing either. The amount of spiritual qi that got cast off from his body wasn’t a joke. The old man’s eyes widen in both happiness and hope.

He had been looking for artifacts all over the world to help his grandson’s body for the past 18 years of his life. Yet, no matter how far he travels to, no matter what kind of forbidden land it was, all he found was useless treasures. He, along with his son and daughter-in-law, have to watch as their brightest and smartest grandchild/child slowly turned into a demon.

The child’s teacher did all that he could to slow down the intake of spiritual qi that Yang’er involuntarily took into his body but there was only so much that he could do.

The only two ways to make sure that his body was able to take in all those pureness of spiritual qi was to have exchanges energy from sex and combats. However, that has its own dangerous aspects too.

The pureness of the spiritual qi from Yang’er was far too pure for a normal human and normal cultivator. Their body cannot handle that amount of pureness. The only one that hadn’t had any problem when sharing and exchanging spiritual qi was his Younger and older brothers and mother. Even his own father cannot share energy or exchange it with him.

Although sharing spiritual qi or exchanging spiritual qi with someone else won't be that dangerous, it was still being something that shouldn’t be constantly in use, especially when it comes to sex. In fact, if done once in a month, it would help both parties with their cultivations progress and stabilize the foundations for their cultivations. However, the thing was that Yang'er's body needed to be exchanged once a week at the least, otherwise, the pain that he would feel would be... unimaginable.

Shangyang was pretty used to the pain already but the pain of the soul wasn’t something that anyone could be used to. Especially when the pain from the soul and the pain from the physical body both happens at the same time.

So, imagine his surprise when he saw that just by touching that little girl, Yang'er's pure spirit qi was repelled from his body out without a consequence. He was so damn happy that he feels like he's going to cry!

Someone told him that this isn’t a dream!

“Thank you, you can let me go now,” Tao Jinghua’s cold voice said with an indifference that it makes Shangyang let go of the girl instinctively. The girl did a small bow in thanks before turning to see what kind of damages the stairs suffered from due to the fallen lantern.

There was no damage done to the wood at all.

Tao Jinghua nodded in the satisfaction that the stairs weren't damaged. She’ll hate to pay for it if the owner thinks it was her fault.

Tao Jinghua totally ignored the fact that this world, every building such as this inn was built using semi-spiritual woods so it was far sturdier than concrete. This was a precaution toward fights between cultivators, because, otherwise, such a building won’t last a second before it was destroyed.

Shangyang’s eyes haven’t left the little girl at all. No, that’s not right. It wasn’t that his eyes haven’t left the girl but rather that his eyes can’t leave the girl.

Already, Shangyang had already started to feel the effect of having liberated a large amount of spiritual qi instantly.

He feels less heavy, less stressful, and less burden on his soul and body already.

Just in that one split second, the amount of spiritual qi that he lost was enough to nearly kill low-grade cultivators, but yet- that girl who has no spiritual qi of any kind actually wasn’t harmed at all.

    What the hell?

While Shangyang and the old man was still shockingly frozen in their spots.

Not caring at all that they were still looking at her, Jinghua left behind the two men as she closed the door to her room.

Her hands were shaking slightly. She sighs out loud as she clenches her chest.

Too similar. Too familiar. Their glazes were far too alike.

They are so similar to the point that Jinghua was afraid to look at the man called Shangyang.

A name came into her mind and heart instantly; Chen Huafei. A very girly name but was, in fact, a true male.

An image of a thin, tall, and yet very handsome and firm face appeared in her heart. Hair the color of platinum blonde, eyes as cold as ice, and an equally expressionless face.

No- stop thinking about him. Don’t think about him!

Jinghua clenches her heart as she bites her lips hard enough to bleed.

“Jinghua, remember that the dead do not come back alive, the soul which has left will never return!” She told herself as she clenched her hand hard enough to bleed. Tears blurred her vision as her memories nearly awaked.

While this was taking place within her room, the two men from before were already gone.

“Yang'er,” The old man started only to stop once he saw the looks within his grandson’s eyes.

“Grandfather... that girl... I know her... I... her soul feels so familiar...” Shang Changyang, whose real name was Shang Yangli, was so lost that he didn’t notice his soul reacting to his mentality.

They were flying toward the Snow Mountain to stop whatever it was that’s causing the Dark Snow to form. However, with the man’s current mentality, will he be able to fight? The old man worries.

However, he soon found that his worries were not needed.

Three hours passed by so fast that Tao Jinghua totally forgot about her lack of sleep.

Tao Qingshan and Mi Ling came back with everyone's presence. However, the dark snow was oddly cold so both Tao Baiyu and Honghui caught a cold. Lucky for them, Tao Jinghua was prepared so they only got sick for a night before they were already better.

Due to Tao Baiyu and Honghui’s fever, they stay inside the inn for one more night. While that was happening, the City’s people were making plans for war.

    Why?

Because of the odd Black Snow. Due to the black snow, hoards of beasts were running away from the Snow Mountain. Or not; it was due to the Abyss Beasts that waves of beasts are running away from their homes.

So, now, the majority of the families in this city were preparing for war against those beasts.

Lucky for them, such things as beast hoards happen once every two to three years. So, the majority of the humans in this world were already pretty used to this kind of thing happening. Although, this belief was for towns and cities that are near to a beast's habitable like the Mountain Snow. After all, Wuzhi Kingdom was already a kingdom full of poisonous beasts- other beast types don’t have much opportunity to live here before they were pretty much snacked on by those poisonous beasts.

Three days later, after the city went through its beasts hoard- with little to no damage since this hoard was pretty small- Tao Jinghua and the rest of her brothers left Xue Chengsi behind and flew on the Nine Wings Bird and went to the location that was on her elder sister’s letter.

It was a small forest called the “Purple Blazed Bamboo Mountain”- about 150 miles away from Mountain Xue, to the northwestern. This mountain was famous for both mortals and cultivators alike since the laws of this place put a restriction on both cultivators and mortals.

Purple Blazed Bamboo Mountain was called so because of the large, thick, and abnormally fire-glazing looking bamboo forest. This mountain was known to be the only mountain that has successfully planted herbs that both cultivators and mortals needs; The Morning Dew Mysterious Grass, Overlord Fire Branch, Nine-Yang Scarlet Bamboo, Hundred- Years Red Ginseng, Snow Wolfberry, Rising Sun May Fire Grass, Maiden’s Fragrance Fruits, and Spirit Grass.

According to Tao Suyi’s letter, all of these herbs were needed to make a Body Tempering Pills. She said that the woman who controls this region was looking for a mortal girl who knows how to create a porcelain chest for storing the herbs listed above. However, she must be under 13 years old, must be a virgin, and must have a Yin-Body constitution type.

Tao Jinghua doesn’t have a Yin-Body Constitution type but she wasn’t looking for such an opportunity anyway. She was here because this town has a Mechanic Guild. And because she was bored and wanted to learn more about this world.

A Rank 1 Mechanic Master. His name was Jin He. He was sister Tao Suyi’s subordinate. Tao Suyi left something for Tao Jinghua with Jin He.

This was the real reason why Jinghua wanted to come here. According to her knowledge of her sister- it seems like the older woman left behind a lot of books for them before she went on her seclusion.

It was also likely that this action of hers was the equivalent of exchanges or her action of leaving the Tao Family behind. After all, she's going to be an immortal cultivator and immortal cultivators live a long life. Who knows if the Tao family would still be existing a hundred more years. Which was why she wanted to form and train the foundation of the family even more with those things that she left for her.

Out of all the girls and boys in the family, Tao Suyi doted on her the most. Although, that might be because they have the same mother.

Regardless of the reason, Tao Suyi had trusted the future of the Tao Family to Jinghua- at least this was until Jinghua got engaged to Tang Beifeng.

So, Jinghua is here to get the things that Suyi left behind for the family. While she’s here, she’s also experiencing this world for the first time and learning things about this cultivation world that she’s currently living in.

When they met with Jin He, the man was very respectful toward them.

Reading both this man’s intention and his eyes, Jinghua knew right away that this man wasn’t one of those two-faced men out there in the cultivation world. Maybe it was because, in the 25th Century, it was just the beginning of the Martial Arts Information Age- but there was a lot of information and sources for Jinghua to study and train in.

There was one Art that Jinghua specialized in; Intentions Arts.

Or better known as “Heart, Soul, and Spiritual Intention Arts of Humans.”

In this Arts, more like Skills, Jinghua had trained both her mentality sensitivity and her Sensing sensitivity towards such things as men’s and women’s intention to the point that her Grandmasters had chosen for her to interact with the normal human society. Something that was never heard of for an assassin her grade.

Why? To train her reaction, interactions, and mentality towards human intentions. She even went to Middle School, High School, and College just to train those Skills of hers.

So, you can say that her ability in reading a human's mind and the intention was top notch.

Which was why she knew right away that this cultivator named Jin He was a pure-man. As in pure in intention, pure in feelings, and pure in body.

    A virgin.

A 50 years old virgin. Who has no intention of ever getting out of his virginity status?

“Young Lady and Young Masters, please, this way,” the old man- who doesn’t even look like it, lead them away toward a two-story house to the west of Purple Blazed Town.

Purple Blazed Town was the town closest to the Purple Blazed Bamboo Forest. It was the only town that the women who controlled this region of the world had allowed men to enter. Passed this town, no men could enter without permission- of course, unless the so-called man himself doesn’t want his family jewels anymore.

The house that Jin He led them to was a normal family size courtyard house with a small pond in the middle of the yard and a couple of flower brushes.

He led them to the guest-hall as he served us tea while we waited. It seems like this guy doesn’t even have a maid to help him out. Weird but acceptable.

The boys were curious but they all knew that they shouldn’t be naughty so they behave themselves. They talk in low voices as they brainstormed on what kind of things Suyi left for Jinghua.

Ten minutes later, he came back with 12 Universe Bags.

Only, this kind of bag was different from the ones that they are used to.

It was made with purple-colored fabrics that have gold threads stitches to form some kind of talisman on it.

Just by the appearance of the Universe Bags, anyone could tell that it wasn’t a simple bag.

And Jinghua was proven right again.

Turns out that these bags were called Primal Universal Bags- not just universe bags. Each Primal Universal Bags cost 5 Mid-Tier Jingshi- that’s about 5000 Low-Grade Jingshi right there. Enough to feed a mid-sizes clan of cultivators for five months at least.

This caused Jinghua to be suspicious. Where did Tao Suyi get all the money to buy these bags from? Or does she make it herself?

Within these bags were 50 million mortal Gold Coins, 200 Low-Grade Jingshi Stone, and 300 Foundation level manuals for bodybuilding, swordplay, spear arts, and other weapons parts. All of these resources were enough for a rich young master to live his whole life carefreely. And yet, Tao Suyi gave them to Jinghua? If Jinghua doesn’t suspect Tao Suyi’s intention then she’s a moron. And Tao Jinghua was not a moron.

Even though all of these were all low level at the grade of a 1, they were still all priceless treasures for the Tao Family.

With these many items from Suyi, Jinghua knew right away that something was going to happen to her. Or did it happen already?

    What were Tao Suyi’s plans?

Jinghua’s eyes gleamed underneath her bangs, as her mind went through a hundred different kinds of reasons, causes and effects, details, and suspicions that she could think of.

No matter what happened, Jinghua was going to be calm about this. Her sister trusted her with these items for a reason, she wasn’t going to make her hard work turn to nothing due to Jinghua’s own action.

“Young Lady, Master told me to give these bags to you and also inform you that in the Gold-Purple bag, there is a book on Alchemy for you to study on. She hopes that with this book, you won’t be bored.” Jin He said with a small smile on his face.

Jinghua could hear this man’s heart beating and understand why he was secretly shocked at his master’s action toward her mortal family.

Jinghua nodded her heads while Qingshan and Mi Ling were secretly shocked at her actions. They don’t know what happened or what was inside these bags, but they were shocked that Suyi had left Jinghua an Alchemy Book.

After all, an alchemy book of low level would already cost more than ten thousand gold coins- something which the Tao Family cannot afford.

Everyone from the Tao family was so shocked that they didn’t even notice how they left Jin He’s house or how they made it to the inn for the rest of the day.

When they left that night, they had brought three Talisman for the Nine-Wings Bird.

It cost 3 Gold Coins each but it was worth it. Because with the materials on Jinghua right now, no one wanted to risk anything so they secured their traveling safely first and foremost.

The Talisman was a speed flight Talisman for Bird Creature like the Nine-Wings Bird. Increasing the speeds in which the bird can travel by 500%, making the distance that they had covered within three days into 3 hours of traveling. The speed was so fast that Jinghua couldn’t even see anything, just a blur of things for 3 whole hours. While Jinghua was slightly sulking because she couldn’t see anything passed by, all the boys were so tense that their bodies' postures looked even more awkward than a newborn deer.

When they finally stopped to rest at Xue Chengsi, all the boys were so grateful that they kissed the earth underneath their feet. All Mi Ling and Qingshan did was shake their heads with fond smiles before they left to buy some presents and gifts for the people at home.

Jinghua brought a lot of fabric brocades and all sorts of materials for making and creating different kinds of accessories, along with books on Pottery techniques for everyone at home. The boys brought weapons, armors, and talisman protection for everyone.

Jinghua pretended that she didn’t see Qingshan and Mi Ling buying a lot of cooking wares and different kinds of ingredients, even seeds.

With the money that Suyi gave Jinghua, she gave the boys three gold coins each to buy whatever they wanted. In the end, Tengyu was the only person to have brought a lot of leather.

“Teng’er, why are you buying so much leather for?” Tao Jinghua asked, curiously, at her younger brother.

The so-called brother blushed bright red as he stretched his cheeks nervously. “Big-sis, I want you to help me make a set of clothes for me....” He said as he looked down on his feet, his whole body radiated nervousness. Jinghua blinked her eyes a couple of times in surprise before nodding.

“Sure, however, you have to get to the Martial Artist Tier 2 first before I make you a set of clothes,” Jinghua said with a glim in her eyes. The boy’s eyes widened as he looked at his sister.

“Okay! It's a promise!” Tengyu shouted excitedly as he skipped toward Qingshan. Mi Ling and Qingshan both rolled their eyes at the boy’s tacit. So easy to read.

They rest for two hours before going back to their little home town, Xichang Town.

On the way, the bird’s speed was slowed down due to the Talisman running out of spiritual energy, making it easier for Jinghua to notice something that she had missed before.

As they got nearer and nearer toward Xichang Town, all of them noticed signs of battle. With the height that this bird can travel at, they couldn’t even see anything from the ground. However, the smell of blood that was carried by the wind wasn’t that easy to dismiss for Jinghua.

Jinghua’s expression was unchanged but her eyes were already gleaming with lights in them.

“Lil’Nine, go closer to the ground,” Jinghua suddenly instructed the bird, causing the bird to cry out loud in reply.

Mi Ling and Qingshan looked at her questionably but she ignored their looks as she focused on what was going on in the ground.

Bodies of large beasts were literally loitering all over the forests. Trees were burning, freezing, wet with water and some even bear no leaves at all for no reason. The earth cracked in odd places. Jinghua’s vision was not normal. She can see far better than normal people but she wasn’t an immortal cultivator. Once the distance between the sky and the earth lessened enough, both Mi Ling and Qingshan were so shocked that their bodies literally froze in fear.

Jinghua ignored them for now as the Nine-Wings Bird got closer to the ground.

She could see a lot of smaller beasts still fighting. Jinghua took out her bows and arrows. She silently and steadily smeared poison to the tips of the arrows before knocking them to her bows.

Within a split second, five piercing arrows flew out of her hand towards the beasts that were on the ground. Even though the poison doesn’t have much effect against poisonous beasts, it still slows down the beasts enough that the cultivators who were fighting them had a chance to critically injure them or even kill them.

With Jinghua helping from the sky, the cultivators who were fighting against the beast on the ground had some time to breathe. Mi Ling and Qingshan weren't normal either as they both came back to their senses earlier than normal. Their help with distracting beasts by sending killing intent at a critical moment distracted the beasts enough to be injured by any cultivators.

As times slowly passed by, the small beasts slowly stopped showing up as more and more were killed. Once Jinghua judges that the cultivators won’t die from overwhelming beasts waves, she told the Nine-Wings birds to go nearer to their hometown.

It was not a pretty sight that they saw upon coming closer.

The wall surrounding Xichang town was literally ruined. Cracks were all over the places. Some places don't even have any rocks to tell them that this was once a wall.

Jinghua’s eyes dimmed with the chilling lights within. Mi Ling didn’t even wait for Jinghua’s instructions when he commanded the bird to go straight toward their house.

Luckily, only the store was wracked. Their house was safe and sounded. Everyone was safe- if not mentally scarred. Her mother and father were so worried about them that they cried literally when they saw them.

“My babies!” Both Jinghua’s mother and her stepmothers ran toward the boys as they hugged each and every one of them with a hold that could crack bones. Jinghua steps back slightly so that she isn't in their direct sight. As a result, both Mi Ling and Qingshan were hugged until their faces pale and turned green.

If Jinghua used her assassin abilities to hide her presence for a while longer because of this then no one can blame her.

Two hours later, Jinghua found out that due to the Abyss Beast driving out all the beasts in Mountain Xue, the surrounding regions were also affected too. As a result, clans and sects all over the country send their students and members to help out. Luckily for Xichang town, it wasn’t in the direct path of the beast hoards so only the wall and couple of buildings were destroyed.

The number of mortals that die could be counted on one hand, this time around, unlike every other time that a beast hoard happens.

“Tao Jinghua! Tao Jinghua! Are you there! Please! Please! Open the door!” Suddenly, a piercing yelled from outside the Tao Family home yelled out. The door was banging loudly and the presence of a normal person was right outside.

As sudden as the presence was, a bad feeling surfaced within Jinghua’s heart.

Her eyes gleamed darkly. Because that voice was the voice of Tang Beifeng’s second wife, Liu Ying.

The maid that had been behind her father went to open the door. Stumble in was a young girl about 16 years old with a bloody outfit and teary eyes filled with heartache, disbelief and a look of madness in her eyes.

“Ying'er?” Jinghua asked the second wife’s of Tang Beifeng, feeling slightly confused.

Once she saw Tao Jinghua, Liu Ying broke into tears and threw herself into Jinghua’s arms. Her body shakes as grief clouded her face and she cries her eyes and heart out.

“Hua’er, Hua’er... Beifeng... Beifeng is... Waaaaa,” She cried as her words started to not make any sense.

“Ying Er, calm down. Why are you crying? Where Meier and Beifeng? Why aren’t they with you?” Jinghua asked as she patted the older girls in her arms.

At that question, the girl cried, even more, harder as she collapsed to the ground. “Wuu Wuu, Hua’er, wuwuwu. They-they’re dead!” She cried out loud as her voice shook with emotions and her facial expression turned near insane.

Jinghua blinked her eyes for a couple of seconds as she let the words enter her mind.

What? Did I just hear that Tang Beifeng was dead?

“Ying’er... what... What did you say?” Jinghua’s expression was completely expressionless and her voice was completely calm but for some reason, everyone’s eyes widened as they looked at Jinghua with a worried expression.

“Dead! He's dead! Sister Mei’er is dead too! Everyone is dead!” The girl shouted out with her eyes in fear and a look of near insanity entered her face.

“W-wait, Liu Ying, what do you mean by that?” Mi Ling asked with a pale face as he put his hand behind Jinghua to steady her, just in case.

“B-beast, a pitch-black beast- it kills everyone!” Liu Ying’s hands were holding onto Jinghua like it was her lifeline as she shivered in fear and her eyes deluded in fright.

Jinghua’s knees give out- due to disappointment and from Liu Ying’s hold, causing both girls to collapse into the ground. While she was at it, Jinghua faked fainting, too.

“Hua’er!” Both Liu Ying and Mi Ling called out as they tried to prevent her head from hitting the floor. The floor was a stone floor, so they did anything to prevent Jinghua’s head from hitting the floor.

The situation turns instantly chaotic but for some reason, Jinghua has been feeling like someone or something was watching her every movement. She can’t tell where or which direction it was from but with her sensitivity at her current range, she could tell that whoever it was, it was very curious about her.

Whoever or whatever it was, it has no ill-intention towards her or anyone near her so she let it go.

And she had a feeling that whoever this being is, it wasn’t a beast nor a human.

So, something ‘else’ got interested in her?

First, her so-called Fiancé was dead. Now, something or whatever it was- was looking and watching her?

What the hell was going on?

Book One Chapter 9: The Weiqi Grandmaster Who Reign the World of Assassin
Tao Jinghua was the youngest person to have ever been granted the title “Airless Grandmaster” by all of those that knew her. Her teachers, which was a lot, all acknowledge that their experiences can’t be compared to her when it comes to things that she found interesting.

Acting, singing, cooking, anything- if she found it interesting, she would use 100% plus 50% of her efforts to learn, knowledge, trains, practices, and use it as a killing technique.

There was that one time that she went into the Entertainment industry to kill a “pervert” old man who has a lot of influences in the entertainment-industrial and the political world.

She went in as a young orphan girl who came from a small village to the south of China. At first, Jinghua had made the plan to go in as a temp worker- but, a well-known male actor at that time saw how Jinghua acted one time and he pulled her into his circle so fast that everyone thought that she was his lover or daughter.

Jinghua was only 12 years old then but she was pretty tall for girls her age- and very mature too. So, everyone thoughted that the male actor, Wei Xing, was a big pervert who was eying her- only to found out that the male actor was gay and was already married to his childhood friend- privately, of course. So, it was impossible that Jinghua was his kid, much less his lover.

The drama that they were filming at that time was a Historical-Mixed Time Traveling-Modern time action drama full of drama, dog-eat-dog themes, love, sacrifices, and a lot of martial artists killing each other for an object called the Pearl of Pandora.

One of the main characters was played by Wei Xing, going by the nickname A’Xie. Jinghua’s character was a character that was added to the list because of the Screenwriter’s new motivation. Once the producer, the screenwriter, and the sore sponsor see Jinghua, they agree to the add-on with no problem. They even paid her way more than they should. Yet, no one complained at all.

Why? Because at that time, Jinghua had just come out from the Forest of Death with 50 other kids and her aura was... deadly. So, the role that she got was an Immortal-Cultivator Assassin who controlled the Realm of the Dead, only to die from over-eating poison, and reincarnated as the sister of the main character- Wei Xing’s A’Xie.

That film was very interesting- because the creator actually researches proper materials before-hand. So, Jinghua was actually interested in acting in that film. Which was why- by the end of the first week- no one could tell that Jinghua has never actually acted before.

It was to the point that the producers searched for her still even after she had completed her mission and killed that ‘old’ pervert. Using his own bad habit, of course.

If even the director of the Top Five Films in the World couldn’t tell that Jinghua was acting, what chances would people of this world be able to tell?

    Null.

    None.

Not even the being that was watching Jinghua notices that she was faking it.

When Jinghua had fainted, the only thing that she left behind to show that she’s hurting was a drop of tears.

    In red.

A pure drop of blood tears.

Her face was totally expressionless but the drop of blood on her face caused everyone to pale rapidly.

“Blood tear!” Mi Ling hissed out as he picked up Tao Jinghua softly and took her back into the house. Everyone rapidly followed behind her as their faces pale in worries.

Anyone in this world knew that anything that has to do with blood essence was not a joke.

For Tao Jinghua to cries tears of blood was the same as suicide in their mind. After all, they are only mortals, they aren’t immortal practitioners who could recover from things like losing their blood essence.

Losing a drop of blood essence was pretty much the same as killing them for mortals.

Unknowingly, when Tao Mi Ling moved Jinghua away, a drop of her blood essence from her tears dropped to the floor, causing the being that was watching her to twitch in a rare show of aggressiveness.

Dark pitch-black animals of some kind appeared right where the drop of blood from Tao Jinghua was at. It sniffed at the drop of blood and tilted its head slightly to the side.

“That girl... was a human girl, right? Why does her soul smell different?” The being asked softly with a voice like that of a small bird. It seems like a woman’s voice but it could also be a male.

He licked the drop of blood from the floor and suddenly froze... His eyes were wide open and suddenly, his figure started to condense into an even smaller shape. Before it could even make a sound, it had already vanished from its spot.

Back in the house, Jinghua was pale and unconscious- or so it seemed. Liu Ying was right beside her holding her hands and crying softly.

Jinghua’s mother was also right beside her, and the room which she was in was already fully packed. Her sisters, brothers, stepmothers, and even the servants were peeping out from the door.

Once her father explains to them why their little/big sister was in this state, they all solemnly sit in their chairs and clenches their hands together as if praying for her recovery. Every one of their intentions was with good will. Even the servants were all solemnly clenching their teeth as they worked. It was a miracle that they didn’t make a mistake while working when they are all worried about their 29th young lady.

As each day passed by, the towns quiet down from the invasion of the beast and people started to repair what needs to be repaired, build what needs to be rebuilt, and before they knew it, Jinghua actually fell asleep for real.

She didn’t know when she actually felt asleep for real when she was just faking it. But- she truly did fall asleep without noticing.

When she noticed it, she was in a space filled with fog and pitch black trees. Trees that have left in the color of darkness, it’s trunks are black, everything is black all the way to the soil.

Tao Jinghua looked around and noticed right away that this place was a dream landscape.

‘Weird, why does this place seem similar to my dreamscape before meeting him?’ Jinghua asked herself.

“This ain’t your dreamscape, girl,” A young and yet annoyed voice called out from behind her. Jinghua nearly twitches when she hears that voice but because of the lack of presence and ill-intention, she didn’t back-knee the guy-because clearly it was a male- in the stomach. Or worse, his family jewel.

    “Who are you?” Jinghua asked.

“... The Nether Realm’s 12 Wings Watcher, Ming Ming Ming.”

... Oi, what kind of name was that? Ming from Destiny, Rank, and Bright? {明命名}... This guys' name was very Ming... alright.

And what is with the Nether Realm’s 12 Wings Watcher?

“...” Jinghua didn’t answer the man, who looked like he just swallowed a lemon. Hmm? Don’t tell me...

“Why are you here?” Jinghua asked with a glint in her eyes. An idea was already forming in her mind.

“My soul got sealed in here because I licked your blood essence,” The man answered honestly before his eyes widened and he started to curse as he kicked the ground in irritation. A thick tick marked appeared on his forehead.

...Ah- I see. He can’t lie to me when I ask him a question.

    Still, where are we?

    “Where am I?”

    “My Soulscape,”

    “...”

    “...”

Twenty minutes later, Jinghua had asked more than 50 questions which the man, who was now being nicknamed [MingMing], had to answer it all. He even has to explain things that he shouldn’t be explaining due to the nature of such a thing.

MingMing looked so haggle and tired out but his mouth was speaking nonstop; as long as Jinghua asked him a question that he knew the answer to or had an inkling of, his mouth would automatically answer back. Secrets that he would take to his grave were literally given out without any hesitation whatsoever. By the time that he finished his answer, his awareness would catch up to him and he would once again start to curse.

Turns out that Ming Ming was a large Nether Bird- or what this world would call the Nine Hell Nether Blazed Bird. He was the previous Emperor of Nether’s soul partner before they went their separate ways. However, as of now, he’s the servant of Jinghua... or Soul Puppet; since MingMing was just a soul now. He had died long ago, way before this continent was even created and established.

Jinghua had MingMing draw out the map of this whole world to her and... to her surprise, it was very huge.

Large and huge with multiple continents, layers, suns, and moons.

The World of the Dragon’s Gate has three different realms. The Human Realm, the Nether Realm, and the Sacred Realm. In between the three realms, there were also two other hidden realms. The Soul Realms or the so-called Ghost and Spirits Realms, and the Devil Realms.

In this human realm, aside from the Dragon Tails Continent, there’s still the Dragon Head Continent, Dragon Horn Continent, Dragon Ears Continent, Dragon Eyes Continent, Dragon Wings Continent, Dragon Toes Continent, and all kinds of Dragon anatomy Continents. Literally, this world itself was created from the body of an Ancient 9 Elemental Dragons that was older than Nine Million Years old.

First, the world was created as a ball of chaos. Then, the Creator divided all the elements into their individual elements, and each element gave birth to billions of ancient creatures. The creatures then turned into what we today know as Mountain, Land, Sea, Lake, etc.etc.

This Continent was called the Dragon Tails continent because it literally was formed from one the tails of the dragons. Histories hinted that underneath this continent, there’s another continent underneath due to the other tails of the Dragon. What? This whole continent was created from only ONE tail, okay? What happens to the other 98 tails that the Ancient Nine Elemental Dragon has?

The Nether Realms was created from the Sentiments and bones of the Dragons- all of the feelings and emotions that it has- especially Wrath and Hatred- was used to create the Nether Realm.

While the Sacred Realm was created from the Soul and Dreamscape of the Dragon. This was why humans believed that once you died, your soul would either go to Hell or Heaven.

So far in history, there have been Five Historical Events that have shaped the world to what it is today. The First one was when this world was first created within this Dimension of this Reality. The Second one was when the Nether Realm, the Sacred Realm, and Human Realm first Separated billions of years ago. The Third Historical Event was when this Human Realm’s Dimension got its consciousness- meaning that the world itself has awakened to the power of Spiritual and Magic.

The Dragon Tails Continent was one of the top 50 Continents in the Human Realm. Out of the known 99 Realms, the Dragon Tails Continent placed in the top 20 at rank 16. This was because this continent was literally the 16 piece of the whole body.

Ming Ming was one of the Descendants of that Dragon- the 999 Lives Dragon- the Ancient Nine Elemental Dragon- who has lived for more than 9 Million Years before it was killed and refined into this world.

As a matter of fact- he just happened to be the youngest great-grandson of that dragon. He has lived for 3 million years already and already has more than 10 children. So, when he died from overestimating himself, his soul was drawn to the Human world crack between the human world and the Spirit World. Of course, being a soul who had lived for this long, Mingming was strong enough to force his way into the human world without anyone noticing it.

In other words, he was the reason why the Abyss Beast came to the human world earlier than usual. They were looking for him. Well, for his soul, to be more specific.

After all, in their world, the Abyss Beast was nothing more than ants. Whenever some beings with the Royal Family bloodline passed away, the ones that suffered the most are those Abyss Beast since they feed on the spiritual qi from the Royal Family bloodline. With one of the Dragon Royal Family Bloodline dying, and his soul nowhere to be found, you can say that this was literally an existence crisis for them. The Abyss Beasts don’t have a choice but to come to the Mortal Realm to search for his soul.

And yet, the so-called soul that they are searching desperately for was now the servant of a human girl who wasn’t even a practitioner.

Yeah- talk about ironic or fuck-over. Ever.

MingMing was so depressed that he had no control over himself. He literally was a puppet now. Any wills that he had were easily collapsible when Jinghua opened her mouth. He can’t even have any intention of harming hers- much less act on it.

In other words, he was totally a puppet. He can joke and threaten her all he wants but once he actually has any ill intention toward this human girl, his very soul feels like it has been cut into billions of pieces and each piece was going through fires quenching. He felt like he was being cooked alive from the deep of his soul.

So, whatever it was that he does, Jinghua would always know right away.

This dreamscape that they are currently in was MingMing's dreamscape. However, after about 10 minutes of questioning MingMing, the dreamscape changed from a foggy cemetery into a paradise of heaven. With each question that was asked, something would change within the dreamscape.

The surrounding area 100 km around them has already changed into something else.

The pitch black earth stays the same but there was a feeling of ... something else within it. The trees have already changed from barrenly looking into the large forest looking kind of trees. The leaves on the trees were so thick that it was more like a stack of leaves instead of just one individual leaf.

A large pond of Red and Purple Lotus was formed from the middle of nowhere. As suddenly as the pond was formed, a very tall- 49 level- pagoda was suddenly revealed surfacing from the pond, causing waves of waters to surge up. Red, blue, green, yellow, orange, black, white, and all sorts of trees- crystal trees- started to grow surrounding the 49 Level Pagoda. Just the 49 level pagoda itself was large enough to house a whole mid-size town.

Flowers that Jinghua has never seen before started to appear and animals that are straight out of fairy tales and fantasy started to appear one after another on those crystals trees.

A pair of foxes with 12 tails, three blue eyes, and two horns appeared next to the pagoda. They look straight at Jinghua and bow in servitude.

A couple fish-like-mermaid creatures with two tails and four large horns that glows appeared from the lotus pond. They took one look at Jinghua and it bowed low in servitude.

A horse- no, that’s a unicorn, isn’t it- although, it looks completely different from what a fantasy unicorn should look like. Hmm? Don’t tell me that’s a Qilin. Well- It might be a Qilin rather than a unicorn; three long flame tails, four longhorns, and its body was completely white. Everything- except for the eyes which were pure purple- was white. The horn was not straight- no, it was like a tree branch as it breaches out from the base of the horn and outward, wistfully. Truthfully, the horns look like thunder... Ah- don’t tell me, this is ... A Thunder Qilin?

A large turtle- what the fuck?! Jinghua’s eyes started to twitch once the shape of the turtle came out- a large gigantic turtle beast that has three horns on its heads- yes- HEADS- it has three HEADS, each. The shapes of the shield were greenish blue- Azure colour and it looks like it was made or created out of gems or some kind of green metals. Hell, Jinghua even doubts that it might actually be some kind of green metal. It was about 1500 meters tall and could have weighed more than 60,000,000 tons easily! It could host a whole fucking damn kingdom on its back with no problem! The damn beast took one look at Jinghua and it... started crying... literally.

“Mama~!” It whines tearfully as its hands' shields over its three pairs of eyes... What the hell, Jinghua just noticed that it has more than just a pair of hands... If both MingMing and Jinghua jump in fright when that voice enters their minds then no-one can call them weakling.

Such a huge beast but what a cry-baby...

If that wasn’t enough, more and more even gigantic-er beasts started to appear.

... What the hell? Jinghua’s head started to hurt because some of these beasts that came out of the Lotus Pond looked like it came straight out from “Toriko’s World”; just with a twist of gaming elements and a lot of radiation coloring.

Although, some look like they are suffering from a very long time of illness and malnourishment. Jinghua can feel something deep within her twist uncomfortably when she sees the near-dead appearance of those wane looking beasts.

Without caring whatsoever, she started to walk toward one of those wane looking beasts. For some reason, she knew that she would be safe in this world- or dimension or whatever this place is- because clearly, this wasn’t MingMing’s Dreamscape anymore. When she got to a horse creature that looks like it got its spot from a leopard, the creature’s eyes widened in surprise, happiness, delightfulness, and something else in its soul appeared within its eyes. The horse-like creature’s eyes started to shine like it wanted to cry but its pride and personality stopped it. Still, it lowers its head toward Jinghua happily.

Jinghua’s hand automatically went to pet the horse creature and suddenly, she knew what this creature was.

A Dark Phantom Fire Horse from the bloodline of the Heracles Phantom Beast. This child was an immortal beast. Born from the bloodline of a Heaven Spear Qilin and the Dragon that this World was created from. This Immortal Qilin has the ability of his father and mother- making it possible for him to stay alive anywhere possible- even in an empty space.

Suddenly, a memory appeared from the deep of Jinghua’s soul. It was the memory and understanding of how she met this Immortal Qilin.

Its name was Hong Fenglong; Rainbow Phoenix Dragon- a very mighty name. This was the name that Jinghua gave him.

However, it has been a very long time already since they last saw each other. Jinghua doesn’t know how that was possible but it seems like her previous life before she was Tao Jinghua, she was some kind of Goddess or something higher than that... And this baby Dark Phantom Fire Horse was one of her pets.

Her head hurt.... From the memories and from something else.

Sweats started to appear on her forehead as her whole body started to gleam with something.

“Master!” Hong Fenglong’s voice was that of a young boy, but its majesty was not lost.

“Mama!” The gigantic turtle from before, whose name was Gui LingYing- with the meaning of Tortoise Spirit Baby- cried out loud as he attempted to come over. But, whatever he did, it wasn’t possible. Something divine and unearthly was keeping him in place above the lotus pond water.

All of the other beasts also started to tense aggressively as they started to fight against whatever it was that was forcing them in place.

“I’m fine, stop moving. You guys are starting to hurt my head even more.” Jinghua said as MingMing helped her up. Hong Fenglong poke out his tongue- which he had condensed it into spirit form so that its clean of saliva- and licked Jinghua’s forehead and sweat off. All of the beasts stop their aggressiveness as they breathe out in relief once they see that their master was safe and unharmed.

Their breath of relief causes more than tens of storms and tornadoes to form within the space of the dreamscape. Oddly enough, the dreamscape space was only getting larger and larger. So, even if all of those beasts started to come out of the lotus pond, Jinghua still didn’t know how that was possible or what that pond was called, it wasn’t crowded at all. Just slightly overwhelming.

    Very Overwhelming Large.

“Master, your heads are starting to hurt because your human body cannot hold on to the large amounts of memories that are starting to awake from your soul due to the Pearl World Gem. You will have to wake up in the real world soon or you will really die,” Hong Fenglong’s voice was filled with reluctance but there was also determination within too.

Jinghua’s eyebrows twitch as she messages her forehead in pain. She nodded her head as she started to breathe out in a pattern. Her headaches started to lessen slightly but for some reason, her normal breathing technique wasn’t working really well.

“Master... Please hold on for a second.” Hong Fenglong turned into one of the large beasts, a gigantic Firebirds creature that was not one bit less mystic compared to a phoenix, called Tian Feifei. The Firebird in purple fires blaze, Tian Feifei, looking at Jinghua with a tendered mothering look in her eyes.

Her glanze was deep and mysterious but it was kind and sincere. One of her feathers started to shine as it separated from her forehead. It flew toward Jinghua and landed on her hand. Jinghua took one look at the shining yellow feather and a name popped up on her mind; Thunderbirds Lightning Feather!

How in the world did she know this name, she doesn’t know nor does she care. Without hesitation, she places the feather on her forehead. The feather shines brightly for a split second before it vanishes.

Jinghua’s body starts to turn transparent and then vanishes from the spot, leaving behind a bunch of large and in various sizes of beasts and MingMing.

Once Jinghua was gone, all of the beasts turned to stare down on MingMing. Their stares aren’t kind. Some were with intense jealousy while others were with killing intentions. They were jealous that MingMing was able to transform to his human body and stay with their masters while others just don’t like the Nether being due to their natural disposition.

For someone of MingMing’s age and bloodline, such stares shouldn’t even bother him but none of the beast in that space was normal. MingMing might be a Godly beast with the bloodline of the Strongest Dragon ever to exist but all of the beasts that are currently facing him weren’t normal either. Just one of them was strong enough to destroy a planet by itself. Comparing MingMing’s bloodline to these beasts and MingMing wasn’t even a competitor for them.

“A Dragon bloodline phantom beast, huh. Master did it again,” the firebird Tian Feifei said with a nonchalant smile on her fiery- birdy face.

“Why are you surprised, Feifei? If a master could even tame you, a Chaos Blazed Origin Phoenix, who has lived for more than 90 Million years, with nothing but a look, what makes you think that she couldn’t tame a mere youngster like this boy?” An older male voice said from the left. It was from a large pitch black snake with golden horns and pure white wings.

“I’m not surprised, Maoyi. I just don’t think that there’s actually someone stupid enough to licked Master’s blood without thinking.” Tian Feifei answered back.

MingMing started to twitch in aggression. He has never been the receiving end of a mockery before.

He is a Nether beast who has more than enough power to destroy a continent and yet- he couldn’t even make a sound when faced with the nonchalant face of the firebird and large black snake in front of him. The bird was easily a hundred times larger than himself and he could feel the dense bloodline in her feather when it came close to his new master. MingMing was totally frozen in fear so he didn’t take a good look at the bloodline's spiritual makeup but he knew for sure that this bird was easily 10 times stronger than him.

Just what was with these beasts that suddenly showed up in his dreamscape! Master should be the only one able to come to this place!!!

“Idiot. You licked Master’s Essence Blood without thinking so your soul was bound to hers as a servant but we’re her tame beasts! If she can come to your dreamscape and force it into her dreamscape, what makes you think that it wasn’t possible for us to come here too when we’re far stronger than you?” The cry-baby tortoise sneered at MingMing as he turned away with dismay.

“Lingying, don’t take out your anger on the poor soul. He doesn’t know master, nor has he ever met anyone like master before. This Dragon Dimension was only a grade B-Dimension, don’t expect too much from him.” A new voice called back with equal power.

“Feihua... You said that but you had already secretly poisoned the idiot, didn’t you?” Tian Feifei asked with a sweat drop on her face.

MingMing watches as a flower demon spirit appears from behind the large spider. MingMing started to twitch in fear as his expression paled.

Why is his fate so poor!

While the beasts are arguing and teasing/testing the poor nether bird, outside in the real world, Jinghua wakes up to the face of a pale teenage girl, who was sleeping with her hands on her chin as she sleeps.

    Ying’er?

“Arg, hurts..” Jinghua hissed as a big migraine headache hit her straight to the mind.

“Hm? Hua’er! You’re awake!” Liu Ying called out excitedly as she stood up so fast that she nearly fainted from blood rush to the head.

“Ying’er? Where am I?” Jinghua asked the older teenage girl.

“You’re in your room. It has been 5 days since you went into a coma, already. I was so worried that you would leave me behind too!” Liu Ying started to cry as she hugged Tao Jinghua.

So, it was already five days since I fell asleep for real... If they knew that I was just asleep, they would be so mad. But before that, my stomach needs food.

“Jing’er... I’m hungry.” Jinghua didn’t wait for the older girl to stop crying as she asked for food. Liu Ying was so happy that Jinghua felt like eating. She literally vanished from her spot using martial arts movement and reappeared at the door to call for a maid.

Ten minutes later, the maid brought in a pot of rice porridge with some herbal leaves. Jinghua had to control her muscles to shake slightly as she held on the spoon, causing Liu Ying’s eyes to redden.

“Hua’er, you have to live on for a long time. Now that the Tang Family is gone, I don’t have anyone else to rely on. You can’t leave me behind, okay?” Liu Ying was crying as she said this.

It has already been 2 years since she knew Tang Beifeng; they were schoolmates that went to the same Reading and Writing school in Xicheng Town here. It was her who fell for Beifeng first even though she knew that he already had a fiance. At first, she hated Tao Jinghua for being so lucky but once she met the younger girl, she knew right away that her feelings were only due to petty jealousy.

The younger girl was not a petty person who would jealousy control Tang Beifeng like every other woman did to her husband. Even though, in this Kingdom, having more than one wife and or husband at a time was normal, people’s hearts were still very narrow and small. The internal fighting within a family might not be much- if at all- but the emotional stress that each member went through was still not little.

Scheming against each other might be very limited toward certain things in the household but they are scheming against each other nonetheless.

When their husband wants to marry another woman into the house, the Main Wife’s permission is a must. This has caused countless amounts of grief and broken hearts within a lot of families. Afterall, no women would like to see their husband holding someone else in his arms that was not them.

Liu Ying had the same thoughts; until she met Tao Jinghua. The girl was only 13 years old but she has the deposition of a well experienced older woman.

Tao Jinghua took a long look at her and told Tang Beifeng that if he doesn’t marry her within a month then she won’t talk to him ever again.

You have to know- this was the first meeting that Liu Ying met Tao Jinghua face to face- and it wasn’t as someone close to Tang Beifeng. Rather, she was there as his classmate along with countless other people who wanted to meet Tang Beifeng’s first wife.

At that point, Tao Jinghua had already known that she had liked her soon-to-be-husband, and yet not only did she not take ill intention into her heart, she also ‘demanded’ Tang Beifeng to marry her.

Liu Ying was so shocked at Tao Jinghua’s words that she was literally frozen in her place for a couple minutes.

She didn't know what happened while she was frozen in surprise but later on, one of her classmates told her that Tang Beifeng literally kneel down and beg Tao Jinghua to retract her words because he only wanted her as his wife. According to that classmate’s words, Tao Jinghua had said that she was still too young to marry into the Tang House, during that time that Tang Beifeng used to waste waiting for her to grow up, he could have married one or two concubines to help out the house already. Tao Jinghua wanted a household full of happiness and a lot of sons and daughters to dote on like her own family.

She had even said that she was already looking forward to spoiling the first kids that Tang Beifeng will ever have- whether or not it was hers. Tang Beifeng knew that Tao Jinghua likes kids. So, he agreed to marry Liu Ying. After all, it wasn’t like Tang Beifeng hated Liu Ying.

After marrying into the Tang house, she knew exactly why Tao Jinghua wanted her to marry him and help out the house.

The Tang Family has a couple restaurants in this town and they are a pretty large family. But- they lack more women around the house. The financial within the house was in the control of Tang Beifeng’s mother, the Main Wife of the current Head of the house. But- that woman didn’t have much time to help out in other areas because all her time was being used in keeping their Financial Book in the green. So, with the addition of Liu Ying, it made everything easier in the household.

However, it still wasn’t enough because Tang Beifeng’s stepmothers were all pregnant that year too. As a result, the Tang Household hired another batch of maids.

One of the maids was Tang Beifeng's third wife.

Guang Meimei, an older woman who had married once already but her husband was killed by a wild beast.

Mei’er had only been married to Tang Beifeng not even three months ago; and now, she’s dead, too.

Liu Ying’s family had already gone a couple of years back when the 10 Years Beast Horde occurred. Now, she only has Tao Jinghua left as a fellow wife-fiancee to the same man.

If Jinghua dies too, then there’s no reason for Liu Ying to live anymore.

“...” Jinghua stopped eating as she watched the crying girls. This girl has a pure heart and intentions. Her aura was very pure and if not for her mentality, she’s very suited to practice in one of those Pure In Heart manuals for refining qi. Only, this girl was far too naive, she doesn’t suit the world of the immortal practitioners where they fight against resources and against heaven.

“I won’t. Bei’er won’t like it if I don’t live on,” Drops of tears trail down Jinghua’s cheeks but her voice was steady and calm. Seeing the calm look on Jinghua’s body language, Liu Ying only cries louder.

Half an hour later, Jinghua met with everyone from the family and decided to change her last name to be Tang Jinghua for 3 years as a sign/symbol that she’s already a wife to someone else.

Since the whole Tang family was gone already, the elder from the Tao Family was against her changing her name, no matter how temporary it was. Even Liu Ying was against it but Tao Jinghua was not listening to them. It was only for three years but the responsibility and burden that comes with the Tang Family last name was not small.

A public government agent has to be there to witness the ceremony and have to approve her decision. As a result, everyone in the Xichang Town knew that the Tao Family 29th Daughter was taking on such a huge burden so very young. Not only that- she was only a Fiance! Not a full wife yet!

Maybe it was because everyone in the town knew that the Tao Family’s daughters were all very sincere in their actions, everyone was willing to help out.

The Restaurants in the town bloomed so fast that Jinghua had to hire more than 10 batches of workers and maids. Not only that, she trains them herself, each of them manners fit for royalty, teaching the cooks how to cook to her taste- which admittedly was the reason why the restaurants all got famous.

Within a mere year, everyone in town knew that this girl was pushing herself over her own limits due to heartache. They can’t stop her but at least, they can try to make her life easier.

As a result, Jinghua was pretty much free a lot of times. All that she had to do was do her weekly routine of checking the Financial Booklet, pay the workers and maid, continue training the cooks, make new menu for special occasions, and make her quota of the porcelain bottles that the Tao family assign.

All in all, her life was very carefree in her opinion- not knowing that everyone in Town has already given the opinion that she’s a heartbroken girl who used work to compensate for her sadness.

The first year of taking the Tang Family name was the busiest time for Jinghua. However, once every town has a taste of Jinghua’s skills, they can’t eat what they usually eat anymore. As a result, a lot of the other restaurants in town were closed down or turned into something else.

Shops such as game shops started to appear in Xichang town. Why? Because of Jinghua.

She introduces them to the so called RPG Card games, Chess, poker, go/weiqi, mahjong, dominoes, shogi, monopoly, scrabble words, crossword games, table ping pong, and all sorts of games.

There will be tournaments that give out Coupons for free foods and money to whoever wins it; so, everyone in town was very competitive. Why? Because it was that good.

The game that was the most famous was weiqi- which was already a known game in this world, Jinghua just made it even more fun to play.

Only- the difference between the weiqi that this world has and the one that Jinghua introduced them to play was that there’s an additional color stone. The Purple Stone.

In normal weiqi, or go games, there’s only black and white stone available. However, with the addition of the purple stone, the games got even harder and harder. A game between two beginners would go from 90 minutes to 240 minutes, easily.

This was because the board game that was called Weiqi was changed into something else.

It was no longer a two player game. It was a three Player Games; Black, White, and Purple. Each playing time was no longer 10 minutes but rather, 20 minutes. The traditional board of 19X19 turns into 49X49 lines.

Before anyone knew it, Purple Weiqi became the game of the weiqi game that everyone in Xichang Town plays. Even 3 years old kids.

As a result, within only three years, kids who have mid-level strategy, tactics, and observation skills were abundant in Xichang town. This creates a natural cycle of training for everyone in town. Kids are more calmer, smarter, more diligent, more determined, and they learn how to be patient. Nearly everyone knew what it meant to be persistent in learning the game.

Before Jinghua knew it, three years had already passed by.

Jinghua changed her last name back to Tao and held a Grand Tournament for all mortal and immortal practitioners alike.

The top 2 will get 5 Low Grade Jingshi, 200 Free Diner Token or coupon, and get to play against her.

When news of this tournament came out, everyone in town was shocked and excited.

    5 Low Grade Jingshi!

5 Low Grade Jingshi! That was 500 Gold Coins! If that wasn’t enough, the free Diner token was enough to cost countless people to drool over it.

Especially the kids in this town.

Nearly everyone started to prepare for the incoming Grand Tournament.

Jinghua didn’t know that due to her action of putting out 5 Low Grade Jingshi as a prize, a lot of immortal practitioners also think of coming to join in the fun too.

In Xichang town, all of the inns are booked full, private houses were being rented left and right, creating a business blooming period and causing countless people to join in the fun.

In the middle of Xichang town was the First and Main Tang Family Restaurant that Jinghua had created. The Restaurant was called [Pavillion of Dance].

The Pavillion of Dance was where Jinghua cooked at the majority of the time.

It has 10 floors, capable of holding up to 900 customers.

In the surrounding of the restaurant, there were countless chairs and tables out in the open with shaded [large umbrellas] over the customer’s head.

In the back of the restaurant, a large open space was created to look like a football field.

Wooden benches were surrounding a 9 by 9 roll of tables for the weiqi participant games.

Each table has four chairs, a large wooden board, and three large bowls of stones created from who knows what. The wood board itself was lined up with 49 by 49 black lines. On the side was the label; North, South, East, and West.

Aside from the listed item above, there was also a large sheet of paper that was labelled with “Purple Weiqi Kifu”.

When the news of the weiqi tournament made it to one of the large sects near Xichang town, one of the elders there came by to watch the show.

His name was Wang Chen. He loves to play weiqi but he has no opponent within his sect anymore. So, when the news of such a tournament made it to his ears, his interest was poke at.

As a result, he volunteered to watch over the tournament for any cheater.

However, Wang Chen didn’t know that this whole town was used to playing Purple Weiqi now. Not only that, they are used to playing against two people in the same board game.

When Wang Chen first saw the scene of three people playing against each other, he was shocked.

So, he wanted to join in the tournament too.

    However, he can’t.

Why? Because of the age limit.

This tournament was called the Young Early Bird Tournament. Meaning that Jinghua places a restriction on who can play.

First, the participants have to be younger than 30 years old for mortal and less than 100 years old for immortal practitioners.

Second, they must be at least a yellow belt player.

That’s right, the Purple Weiqi game has a rank too. Like how rank in Go was; there’s a Dan rank for professional and Kyu rank for amateur players.

In this case, The Kyu rank has 9 Tiers under it; Tier 1-3 was Red Belt, 4-6 was Blue Belt, and 7-9 was Green Belt. For Dan Rank, There are 12 Tier under; Red, Red Orange, Orange, Yellow, Yellow Green, Green, Sky Blue, Blue, Violet, White, Brown, and Black.

From lowest to highest. You will have to be a yellow tier or higher to join this tournament.

Third rule; a fee of 3 Silver Coins.

All of these rules have to be met to participate in this tournament.

Wang Chen has never joined the mini-tournament in this town before. So, his rank and tier was not determined, which made it impossible for him to participate in this tournament. As a result, he sulked for a couple minutes before he brightened up and watched the other players play with interest.

In this Tournament; there are 6 groups of players.

Lilac Flower Group; where all the females are.

Metal Rose Group; Where all the kids who are at least a yellow tier rank are.

Three Pine Tree groups; randomized players based on rank.

Fish Soup Group: Where all the elderly men who have already known each other for a while now play.

Orchid Flower Group; where outsiders from other towns and cities are.

And lastly, Fruits and Wine Group; for immortal practitioners.

Each group has 81 players. 3 players to each table, for the nine tables.

The schedule for this tournament was for three days from 9am in the morning to 9pm at night.

Each table has 3 hours per game. Overtime is limited to only 45 minutes per game. In total, you have 3 hours and 45 minutes to bring your games to a close. There is a game in the morning and one in the afternoon, a couple hours after lunch. This was to give the people sometimes to think of strategies and tactics and to rest the player’s mind.

As Wang Chan continued to watch the players play their game, he noticed right away that the people who were native to Xichang town were far better at these three player games of weiqi than even the immortal cultivator. However, this didn’t last long either as cultivators started to get used to playing against two players at a time.

Due to the size of the board and the extra color stone, this weiqi game was even harder than ever before.

All of the people who came from outside notice right away that playing this three colored weiqi game was very mentally draining and a good way to train their mind. As a result, the atmosphere surrounding the players from outside changed consistently.

At the beginning, for people who have never played the three color weiqi, or the Purple Weiqi, the game was a total mess. Nothing seems to make any sense for them. However, soon enough, they started to get used to pushing their minds to the limit to understand each move of the game. As a result, countless people who came to watch the tournament were turned into fans of the game. Some was even hardcore fan and those players that are stronger had already started to get their own fan-club.

Within the crowd of watchers, there was an old man named Guang Yi. He was an old scholar from one of the government agencies in this town. He was also the one that witnessed the change of Tao Jinghua accepting the Tang Last name for three years.

Guang Yi has been one of the governments in this town for 10 years already. But- this was the first time that he had seen his town prosper this much. He was very grateful toward the Tao girl.

However, he was also worried about the immortal practitioners that are showing up in this small town. If there’s a fight here due to the tournament, then this town will be destroyed!

He was both glad and worried at the same time. Lucky for Guang Yi’s mind, there was no fighting at all. All fights are fights within the board game.

Jinghua was watching the games progress from each table as she walked around.

There was a reason why she created this grand tournament after all. In fact, this three color weiqi game wasn’t even a three color weiqi game.

In truthfulness, it is a four colour weiqi game.

Aside from the new color of purple stone, there was supposed to be another one; the gold stone.

Due to the size of the board, 49x49 grids, each player was supposed to have 800 stones in their bowl if this game was a three player game. However, in those stone bowls, there were only 600 stones each. It was missing 200 stones.

This was because the size of this board was created for a 4-player game, with each player having 600 Stones of each color; Black, White, Purple, and Gold.

However, this world has never played or heard of such a game before. They only knew of the traditional Black and White Weiqi game on the 19x19 board grids.

As a result, Tao Jinghua had to make due with only the Three Colored Weiqi for now. Once the people of this world are strong enough, the Gold color will be added as a Special Style.

Back on Earth, the game Weiqi/go/baduk has already evolved into a 4 player-board game. It was no longer a two-player game. However, in this world, weiqi was still just the traditional weiqi. Jinghua was used to fighting against three people when playing weiqi. So, now that she’s here in this world, she would like to play with three other people too.

Which was why she created this game in this town and even made it into a Profession.

What? Jinghua was bored, okay? Ever since she met the beasts within that dreamscape, her mind and mentality strength has increased so much that playing the traditional weiqi game became far too easy. It wasn’t fun anymore.

Yes, she could have played against the beasts in that dreamscape but for some odd reason- they always ended up losing badly that they refused to play with her anymore.

As a result, Jinghua created this situation and introduced the third color stone to the board game.

Of course, this was not without trouble; a lot of people were against it because it is not traditional. However, once she introduced this kind of game not as a new game but rather a Style- it got people interested in it fast.

That was because in Xichang Town; Weiqi Rank player was a Profession. You got paid to play. Of course, if you lose then you get to pay a small price but if you win, then you get 3 times as much as you pay.

For Kyu rank players; those that are still under a belt, they have to pay 5 copper coins to 1 lead coin to use the salon within this town to play. However, if they win, then depending on how much they pay, the payback was three times that. In a day, some people made from 3 lead coins to 4 lead coins easily.

This made it easier for the citizens in this town to make a living. As a result, the three colored weiqi spread fast and were very aggressive into the minds of everyone. Even the maids in the Tao Family know how to play now. Even her sisters and brothers love it.

Three days later, two players were crowned as the winner of the tournament; Li Guan and Wu Xi.

Li Guan was an elder from the Fish Soup Group and Wu Xi was from the Fruits and Wine Group, he's an immortal practitioner.

The person after those two was another cultivator by the name of Bei Liyi.

In the game that they had played on the third day of the tournament, Bei Liyi was very aggressive but he wasn’t careful so Wu Xi sprung a lot of traps on his White Stone. While Wu Xi spread traps for the other cultivator, old man Li Guan was securing his territory. As a result, Li Guan won by 3 komi due to secured territory.

After the ceremony of giving Li Guan and Wu Xi their prize, both of them choose to play against Jinghua.... Only to get their ass kicked so badly that they couldn’t even think of a way to come back.

After all, Jinghua was already a Grandmaster Weiqi player ever since she was 15 years old. She played against countless people in the 25th Century who were also in a similar position to hers.

There’s no way that she would lose to people who have only started to play not even two years ago.

MingMing laughed out loud in Jinghua’s mind as he saw the faces of the two winners.

Hah! There’s always a Mountain higher than the one you are standing on!

Jinghua continued to congratulate the two winners and told them to continue working hard for the next Grand Tournament, which was in another 5 years.

She left the tournament behind for the maids and servant to clean up. Today was the last day of the tournament so it would still take some time for news of the three coloured weiqi to hit even more people. Jinghua was already making plans on creating more events for gathering weiqi players.

The more players know about the Three Player weiqi game, the better. Especially for high class citizens in this world, if they ever learn how to play the Three Colored Weiqi games, then well- there’s a reason why they are the high class and the commoner are the commoner.

What Jinghua didn’t know was that due to this action of hers, she will have to leave this town behind soon. The inns were still fully packed as people discussed the games that were played. They didn’t stop even until midnight.

Currently, she doesn’t know that such a thing will happen.

She was living in the Tang Resident now- which has already changed into her name with her as the sore owner. Although the resident was the Tang Family’s resident, right now, it belongs to Jinghua completely.

However, the courtyard house was really too big and not modern enough. So, Jinghua has been slowly changing it into a more modern looking courtyard house.

She sat down on the chair in her room as she took out a pile of kifu papers that the game administrators she had assigned had recorded.

Jinghua also took out some blank kifu sheets. In the blink of an eye, a dark red weiqi board appeared from nowhere. Four large bowls of stones were placed next to Jinghua.

She took the first game record from the tournament and started to replay them; only, she put herself into the game and played it like she was playing against those three players on the kifu as she recreated the game.

Soon enough, a large and complex game of Black, White, Purple and Gold Stone was weavened on the board.

Two hours later, Jinghua placed her last stone and watched as the whole game collapsed.

Black stone’s territory was reduced by 1/3 of its amount. White’s stone was trapped within a maze of trickery and tactics. Purple’s stone was blocked off completely with no path to take. Counting the score; Gold stone won by 35 Komi.

Jinghua recorded her wins into a new kifu paper.

As the night progressed, more and more new kifu games started to appear within Jinghua’s room as she continued to review more and more games.

Before Jinghua noticed it, the morning sun had already risen above the horizon.

In a location long away from Xichang town, a court order was being given. Soon enough, 7 soldiers and two official governors left the wall of the city and went toward the south. Their destination?

    Xichang Town!

Book One Chapter 10: Tao Jinghua and Her Previous Lives
Beware of grammars and errors. This chapter has not yet been edited and proofread.
Book 1 Chapter 10: Tao Jinghua and Her Previous Lives

Three days after the Grand Weiqi Tournament, Jinghua transferred the title deeds for the restaurants in Xichang town to one of her older brothers- Tao Lan Yun- and left him to take care of the stores. Tao Lan Yun was a glutton and has been following Jinghua around ever since she had woken up from that dreamscape. So, he happily accepted the title deeds.

It was Mi Ling’s fault for telling Lan Yun that she’s a great cook- causing that glutton to follow her around begging for food.

Not only that, ever since she had awakened from that dreamscape that was originally Mingming’s Soulscape and got better, but her sisters had also all pleaded with her to make them some clothes. Of course, they didn’t ask right away but rather a couple of weeks later when they deemed that she's stapled enough and not in an emotional wrench. So far in three years, she has made them each two outfits. Three of her older sisters got married in the last few years. One of them already has a daughter with her husband.

Two of her older brothers, not Qingshan and Mi Ling, had already married and one of them was moving out in a couple of days from now on.

Aside from that, the things that have changed about this town were the games that she had to introduce to this world.

The three-color weiqi was the most popular but it wasn’t the only game that was played. Surprisingly, the most famous game after the three-color weiqi wasn’t shogi or a similar game, rather it was RPG Card Games. Jinghua didn’t feel guilty at all as she stole ideas from Earth.

Fire Emblem Warriors, Pathfinder, and Dark Souls Roleplaying card games were mixed, recreated, and then, with Grimwood as its base, turned into a card game that caused countless young boys to join in. The two schools in Xichang town even adopted the games as a way to test intelligence, wisdom, and train their students for the real world. They even hired two inscription masters to inscribe those card games into the walls of their school and infused spiritual qi into it.

In other words, once a test is up, the administrator would infuse a couple of low-grade jingshi stone or diamond coins into the inscription, making the card game come alive with a manifestation. Or just said that a holograph of the card will manifest. It wasn’t something that could physically touch because it only has enough spiritual qi from a low-grade jingshi stone or a diamond coin to manifest for a week.

Very weak when compared to what immortal cultivators could do. Even a beginner level immortal could do better than that. Just the energy from a couple of low-grade jingshi won’t be enough for them at all. Anyway, that’s not her business.

Anyhow, after this tournament, Jinghua was pretty sure that the games she has introduced in this town would spread all over this continent; it might take years for everyone to be proficient in these games but nonetheless, life won’t be so boring anymore.

And thus, moving on to other subjects.

Jinghua has been feeling very curious about something for a while now. This year, she’s already 16 years old. Yet... She still hasn’t got her “Woman’s Monthly Bleed”.

... She’s already 16 years old and yet... is this body dead? From the former Jinghua dead? Is this a consequence? Jinghua would never get her PMS?

Jinghua doesn’t know if she’s thankful for that or finds it worrisome. Or... is there something wrong with this body?

Maybe I should ask Tian Feifei since she’s an alchemist. One of the alchemist grandmasters that still practices her skills even now.

Anyway, it's almost time for Jinghua to join those beasts in the soulscape again.

The Soulscape that Jinghua was talking about isn't hers since she wasn’t a cultivator. No, it used to belong to MingMing but now, it wasn’t his dreamscape anymore. It doesn’t belong to Jinghua either. No, that Soulscape belongs to Ju Feihua, one of the spiritual flower beasts of the phantom bloodline that came out from the lotus pond.

Ju Feihua was a plant spirit beast. A Lotus-like plant that grows on land and is not submerged or on water. According to her, I had met her when I was on my 47th Life Trials. Something about World Tribulation and Heavenly Purge Trials. She was one of the innocent that the heaven of that world was purged due to a lack of resources and spiritual energy in that world and realm. As a result, she said that I had taken her with me and planted her in my Inner World.

Ju Feihua had grown up with the older beings inside the Original Jinghua’s original Inner World so she knew about Jinghua’s soul more than anyone else. Especially since Ju Feihua specialized in using Soul Force and Mentality fortitude to make pills, dans, and weapons.

Ju Feihua said that when I left that world, my inner world at that time was removed into a Gemstone and was sealed deep within my soul. It seems like all of the beasts that came out from the lotus pond used to be my partners from the previous worlds that I had been through.

According to the beasts, I shouldn’t be here in this world at all. I should have been in a world that doesn’t have much spiritual qi and was relatively peaceful. Well, true, Earth was a peaceful world compared to this world. For one, there was no such thing as Spiritual Beast and Mythical Monsters on Earth.

But well- one of the Items that I had created before called Pearl World Gemstone found me and was a little too excited so it accidentally knocked me off that planet’s physical dimension. As a result, my soul was stirred awaked and came to this world, where another copy of my body was living like a normal human in this world to experience life in general.

Yet, now that my original soul meets a world with spiritual qi and a drop of my blood essence actually was licked by a being that has the essence of a primal dragon bloodline; it awoke the lotus pond deep within my soul- causing the Chaos Gate Pagoda to awake.

Who had sealed the Chaos Gate Pagoda deep within Jinghua’s soul, she doesn’t know but according to the oldest chaos beast within that pond, the man who sealed it for her was not someone that she could afford to offend. Afterall, according to him, it was because of that man that Jinghua had the opportunity to transcend into a Transcendent Immortal cultivator with 9 Immortal Soul Core, making it possible for her to live for as long as one of her world gems is intact.

And Jinghua has a lot of World Gems.

    What is a World Gem?

Literally that. A Gem that has a world inside. Created from her own soul essence and spiritual essence.

Like that damn pearl that was currently inside Jinghua’s body. Although, that pearl was a different grade and it is a sentinel mobile-dimensional pearl. Meaning that it can travel to other dimensions at its own will.

According to Xian Dexi, the titanic Bloodhound with 7 heads and 7 ancient bloodlines, that damn Pearl Gem World was created by someone who her soul knew very well of and the Original Jinghua herself. Who was it? Xian Dexi doesn’t have the courage nor the privilege to talk about who that man is. All he could tell her was that this man was not her enemy and will never be one.

That black pearl and the gem that the lotus pond originated from was not the same. They function the same way but they aren’t the same in a sense.

The lotus pond originated from the World Gem that Jinghua created herself long ago. However, that black pearl was created by someone else and herself, and it has its own will. It's very much like a baby who was given to Jinghua long ago and it keeps looking for her whenever possible.

What is that Pearl World Gem for? According to all of the guys and girls in that lotus pond, there’s only one word for it; Dowry.

    Fucking damn Dowry.

Who fucking damn give a whole world as a dowry?! Jinghua has never known of anyone like that before! Actually, from her knowledge of how Dowry is, on Earth, a couple of her Masters had actually used an island, company, shops, places, and all sorts of resources as Dowry for her future before she came here. But that marriage didn’t go as planned so such a thing wasn’t known. And really, there was no one on Earth who was rich enough or idiotic enough to give planets as dowry.

Although, whenever she thinks of someone who would really give a whole world as dowry, there’s only one person that appeared in her mind.

But.. odd. When she thinks of that man- the aching hole in the deep of her heart doesn’t feel as empty and hurt as she used to have anymore. After that man left her behind, her very life itself turned dark and empty. No matter what she does, it didn’t do shit for her mentality and emotions. It was to the point that Shiny got so mad that he destroyed the school that Jinghua had met him.

Don’t tell me... that the ‘man’ and the man who created this Gem have some kind of connection? Or... or they like me and the former Jinghua? A fiber copy of a soul? No, don’t get your hope up, Jinghua. It will only hurt you more.

Jinghua shut off the hope that bloom within her chest with a resolve bang. She doesn’t need uncertain hope right now.

Anyway, it's time for her to see those guys and girls again.

Jinghua closed her eyes as she lay down to sleep for the night. A moment later, her eyes were met with the smirking face of Mingming and the brightly lit up face of Gui Lingying, the giant gem tortoise. Hong Fenglong was right behind them with a smile on his face too. It looks oddly weird because out of all the beasts in the lotus pond, only Gui Lingying and Hong Fenglong cannot change into their human form, temporary. The reason was that when my former life left them behind, they were still only a baby.

Even though right now, they are thousands of years old, it still wasn’t enough for them to transfer into their human form. The reason was that in this lotus pond, there aren’t anymore Bloodline Transformation pills strong enough for beasts of their bloodline.

There are countless and a large variety of alchemy pills within the 49 Floor Chaos Gate Pagoda. Even without Jinghua there, they could still open up to 12 floors with no problem. However, those pills aren’t any different from candy for them. It has no effect whatsoever for beings of their levels. So, even till today, they couldn’t transform into their human form. After all, without Jinghua here to open the door for the upper levels of the pagoda, they can’t go inside it. Which means that they can’t use higher grade spirit herbs to refine any alchemy pills. Thus, the two youngest beasts aren’t able to transform.

Jinghua being here had already opened up the land into a spiritual holy land.

Tian Feifei and the rest of the beasts have already started to plant the herbal seeds from inside the 49-floors pagoda into the lands that have turned into spirits land. And now, those herbs have already grown and are mature enough to be picked. But it hasn’t been picked yet. Why? Because Jinghua has no use for them since she doesn’t even know how to use them.

What? Jinghua’s memories were still sealed. As long as she doesn’t start practicing in the arts of the immortal and open her apertures to the sensitivity of spiritual qi, she’s just a normal human who was slightly special.

And she plans to be this way for as long as possible. Even though she doesn’t need to as she has already passed her so-called Heavenly Tribulations back when she decided to save those sorry asses of excuse monks. No, even before that. If she wanted to be an immortal practitioner, all she had to do was allow one of her tamed beasts to open up her apertures to spiritual qi and start cultivating.

Anyway, the point here was that Jinghua does not want to be a cultivator. She doesn’t want to live that long. She’s not the power-hungry kind of woman nor was she the kind that likes to be in the spotlight. She’s just the kind of woman that got bored really fast and lost interest in things even faster.

So far in her life, the things that she has passions for were weapons collection, practicing martial arts, and finding new things to do. Ever since she came to this world, she has had to lead a life that she fully has no intention to change.

Being poor wasn’t so bad since it teaches her the value of hard work. Seeing new things like the Nine-Wings Birds was an eye opener but she had no intention to surround herself with them all the time. Cooking new things? Sorry, but she’s not Joël Robuchon much less a 5 Michelin Stars chef- she has no intention to be.

She might be interested in this world’s ingredients but she wasn’t a real chef. Jinghua knew how to cook but that’s only because her tongue was very sensitive toward food and she’s very picky about what she wants to eat. That’s why she opens those restaurants in this town after all.

It was so that whenever she’s hungry, she doesn’t have to cook for herself.

“Master, the Spiritual Grains that we planted last week are already mature now. Do you want to harvest it?” Hong Fenglong asked telepathically as he lowered his head. He’s currently in his semi-human form so he was only a couple of feet taller than me.

“It’s ready? Show me,” Jinghua was quite interested in the so-called spiritual grains of this world. The ones that she had seen so far cannot be called real spiritual grains as the amount of energy it contains was far from enough.

The blackened earth in this place was called Crystal Dark Earth. It was very dark because of the spiritual qi of higher grade and because of the abundance of nutrition found in the ground. When Jinghua first planted a normal apple tree in this place due to curiosity, that apple tree sorely turned into a large apple tree that bears thousands of apples in one harvest.

According to Guan Ning Ning, a Sunset Falcon Spirit Bird who specializes in Spiritual Agriculture of any kind, that normal apple has turned into a spirit fruit tree when it was growing. So, now if Jinghua wanted to, she could use the seeds from the apple in that space to breed some very strong spiritual apple fruit trees. Well, she’s only experimenting right now. She doesn’t want to start a farm right here in this Soulscape.

The spiritual grains that Hong Fenglong showed Jinghua was very bizarre.

It looks like rice grain, like the Basmati from Indian on Earth but it was far larger in terms of size and dimension. Not only that, the fragrance of the grain itself was very strong. Jinghua could already smell them from all the way here- about 15 meters away.

If you are to compared the spiritual grains to the rice that Jinghua knew of from earth, then it would be long like the Basmati rice but fragrant similar to the Jasmine rice yet with the hardness of a glutinous rice grain, it is plumb like the Japanese Short grain rice that were used in sushi but very long in physical looks and features.

All in all, just imagine the basmati long grain that is three times larger and rounder than normal and you would get the perfect picture of what these spirit grains look like. Not to mention. It was shining with a glow surrounding each grain.

Ahhh, so that’s what a spirit grain looks like.

“What grade is this spirit grain?” Jinghua asked.

“Low Grade. It is a Tier 1 Grade Grain. However, in terms of purity, it ranks level 12.” Mingming answered with a nonchalant face, totally uncaring for such a small matter.

Tier 1 Grade Grain at level 12 Purity? Isn’t it that a Tier 3 product in another word?

A jin of these tier 3 spiritual grains cost 12 low grade jingshi already!

... Yeah, these grains should never be known to the outside.

Unlike the things that Suyi left behind for Jinghua, which she gave it all to the family to increase their foundation, the things from this space must never be found outside unless Jinghua has the strength to protect it.

The amount of spiritual grains in the field was enough for 3.5 tons of grains. That’s already more than seven thousand pounds, or about 6,350 jin!

Do the math and you got seven six thousand and two hundred low grade jingshi...

Yeah, Jinghua was never going to let these spirit grains out into the real world.

“Can I even eat these?” She asked the primary question. Since Jinghua wasn’t a cultivator and doesn’t have the necessary apertures and or meridian open to absorb the spiritual qi within the rice grain.

    All of the beasts: “......”

    Jinghua: “......”

They all blinked at the question.

“Master, you don’t need to worry about that,” Mingming replied after thinking for a couple of seconds.

“Hmm?” Jinghua tilted her head to the side and blinked at Mingming.

“Master, inside the pond, there’s a Spiritual Qi Gathering and Extract Formation on the pond.” Mingming said with his facial expression of “What formation, not mine,” as he tried to convince Jinghua that he had nothing to do with it. Well, he truly doesn’t have anything to do with it.

“Ah- I remember,” Ju Feihua and Guang Lingying said at the same time, causing them to look at each other in surprise.

“Spiritual Qi Gathering and Extract Formation? What is that?” Jinghua asked, not knowing what the hell was Mingming talking about.

“Master, the lotus pond was made out of Spiritual Condense liquid. Meaning that it was created from pure Spiritual Qi of a higher grade. Inside this space, it is very deep within your soul, the World Gem has been here for more than a couple eons already. Since that time when you had created the Spiritual Condensation Formation as the base form for the Spiritual Qi Gathering and Extract Formation, it has been refining the spiritual qi from outside the world and from the universe into its purest form, Lingdi [Spiritual Qi Droplet]. Over time, the lingdi turned into gas, then from gas into liquid again, and from the liquid form, it turned into this very world; the earth was dark because it has been refined by the World Gem for eons already.” Du Tang Tang, a Heaven Silk Spider, said with her face full of wisdom and age. She looks like an 18 years old girl with long white hair, three eyes that were gleaming purple like a diamond, and she was wearing full silkware. Her face and beauty was enough to cause a kingdom to collapse.

Her demeanor was of someone who knew that they are sexy and was willing to use it against their opponent. In other words, Du Tang Tang was not sweet at all; she’s hot like spicy food that people can’t get enough of. She got the charms of an older lady that was alluring enough but not slutty like a woman who only seems to want to be seen as sexually sexy. She got the beauteous figure that was not too busty or too small, a waist that wasn’t huge but it certainly wasn’t small either. Her figure attracts both men and women alike toward her like bees to honey. Only to find out that it wasn’t honey that they were sucking on but rather, poison.

“... You mean to tell me that this lotus pond was completely made out of a higher grade of spiritual qi droplets?” Jinghua wanted to confirm if her understanding of the situation was really right.

All of the Beasts, including Mingming, nodded.

“... How high is it?” I asked, feeling both nonchalant and yet curious at the same time.

“The normal spiritual qi that people like the cultivators that you meet a couple of days ago used the World Spiritual Qi called Huanqi. The next tier of energy from that is the True Essence, Zhenqi. After Zhenqi comes Divine Essence, Shenqi. After Divine Essence is the Universe Essence, Taiqi. The water in the pond is all divine Essence,” Long Yunli, the Heaven Crown Spiritual Dragon-Snake, answered as he placed his head down near the ground so that I could pat him. My hand automatically went to scratch the corner of his mouth. His scales were oddly warm and tender. Not hard at all.

“Anything that you eat that is spiritual in nature will naturally be absorbed by the pond, so you don’t have to worry,” Wang Baoyi said from the berch of the crystal tree. Wang Baoyi is the White Thunder Hawk from the Heavenly Thunder Hawk races that doesn’t exist in his original world anymore. Since they ates Heaven Tribulation Thunders as food and the people in his former world have no such thing. And thus, they became extinct in that world. Wang Baoyi was the only one that survived since I took him with me when he was just an egg.

“So, you don’t have to worry that you can’t eat it. At all. No matter what you eat, you would only feel full like eating normal food. The spiritual qi within the grains aren’t affecting you at all. Unless you are willingly to open your meridian and start cultivating like your brothers, then such foods won’t even do anything to you.” Mingming concluded, this time with his eyes twitching with an expression that doesn’t know if he should be crying or laughing.

“Oh,” Jinghua was already used to how OP she seems so she only said ‘oh’. The first time that she came back to this place after she woke up, she accidentally entered the pagoda and found thousands of chests filled with golds, silvers, and all kinds of mundane currency. If that was it, then she wouldn’t have been shocked. After all, Tao Jinghua had seen their Assassin Group back on earth’s treasury before so she wasn’t that surprised by the amount of mundane currency there was. She was shocked because aside from the mundane currency, there’s materials, resources, and also spiritual and magical currency, too.

Honestly, a lot of the currencies in those chest, Jinghua had never even remembered seeing them before. She only knows that those are very pure in their forms. The gold coins-object was pure gold and the silver was pure silver. Even though they are purely gold and or silver, some of them look different. Some were red while others were blue. Not to mention the spiritual and magical in nature currency. Those are just Otherworldly.

When she had asked Mingming, he said that he doesn’t know because he has never used mortal currency before. It was Hong Fenglong who had answered her; that those moneys were from her previous lifetimes. And she has a lot of previous lifetimes before the ones on Earth.

She had accumulated so much money that those chests were created just for it.

Although the chest seems to be only a meter square in size, in actual fact, each chest was far larger than it seems. And far heavier than it looks.

When Jinghua had taken one of those chests into her room in the physical world, she found out that her whole room was not even enough to contain even a percentage of the stuff inside the chest. And her room was just rebuilt a couple of months ago since her old one was shared with her sisters. So, it was larger than before.

Turns out that the space of each chest was more than ten thousand cubic meters of space. That’s already seven times bigger than Jinghua's current room. As a result, Jinghua had to take that chest back into the 49- Floor pagoda. However, for one odd reason, the chest that she had taken out changed in looks and features. The currency inside that chest had changed into this world’s currency.

Copper Coins, Lead Coins, Silver Coins, Gold Coins, and even Diamond Coins are all of this world’s currency. In the trillions.

So now, Jinghua was so rich that she wouldn’t know what to do with the money. Including the money that she made from the restaurants and the money that her father gave her from Tao Suyi’s portion, she already has enough money to live a luxurious life without having to work. And now that she has ever more money from those chests, she became numb to such things now.

Which was why she wasn’t really surprised about the features that the pond has. Anyway, continues on to why she’s here.

“Feihua, you said that you would unsealed some of my memories for me. What are you going to unseal?” Jinghua asked. Last time that she was here, the beasts explained to her that all of her previous lives experiences were sealed off within the lotus pond. If she wanted to unsealed them, they could do it.

However, there’s a price that she has to pay. Her mental fortitude has to be stronger or else her mind won’t be able to make it due to the painful process. This was the main reason why she introduced the Three Colors Weiqi to this world. It was to train her Mentality Fortitude again. And she succeeded.

“Master, we will have to test your Fortitude first.” Feifei said as she took out a purple star shaped rock from somewhere.

“Master, put this on your forehead. A light will surge out toward your brain and measure your Mental Fortitude for you,” Feifei said with a respected smile on her face. Her expression was filled with longing and excitement but her face was good enough to keep her poker-face on.

Jinghua did as asked. A bright light came out of the star shape rock and vanished into her forehead. A couple seconds later, the stars dimmers, leaving behind a number.

    “1490,” it said.

What does that mean? Jinghua was confused but the expressions on the beast's faces were astonishing. Their eyes were wide open and some even had their jaws dropped to the floor.

“I know that the master was very talented and intelligent but these numbers... they are a little too big, aren’t they?!” Hong Fenglong was near hysterically insane as his eyes turned bloodline red from both surprise and fear.

What was that supposed to mean?

“Master... you had passed the test. In fact, you only need 150 to passed the test for unsealing memory. However, with the numbers being this high, you would not feel any pains at all. “ Feifei’s eyebrows was twitching and her smile was also trembling with something akin to excitement. Why was she so excited? That was because the memory that Feifei plan to unsealed for Jinghua has to do with Weapon Refinement and Alchemy Refinement!!!

You have to know that there was never a time in Jinghua's previous lives that she wasn’t famous. She’s a master of a lot of things and subjects: Alchemy and Weapons Refinement was just one of the many things that she knows and master of!!!

After all, the one that had taught her was that “Legendary Grandmaster of Heavenly Magic and Hell Raising Alchemy!” The Only Human Woman to have reached the realm of the Creator Gods aside from that man and his brother! Aside from His Highness Chu Meng Yi and his Holiness Li Youran, the two brothers of the Tian[Heaven] Creation Family Tian Yuanle and Tian Yangle were the only ones to cross that line! So, of course she would be excited that their master was the only one that has ever come close!!!

If she unsealed her master’s memory of those world's accumulation of knowledge for Weapons Refinement and Alchemy Refinement, her master would be safe! There won’t be anyone in this world that would look down on her or offend her!

Too bad, Feihua forgot that her master’s personality was very calm and lazy. She forgot that her master didn’t even want to cultivate anymore in this life. She also didn’t account for the fact that Jinghua was an assassin who was called Airless by the Underground World in her previous life on Earth.

Ten hours later, Jinghua had fully started to awaken her previous memories. In her hand was the black pearl that she had swallowed. It was rotating in a calm manner as it emits gas of green mist into her mind.

In a split second, Jinghua knew how to use the black pearl. She collects her Mental energy and sends it toward a small, very small, whole on the pearl; causing it to shake with excitement.

“Mother!” A small voice called out to her from the deep of her soul.

With her eyes still closed, Jinghua reached out with her consciousness toward that voice. Now she knows why her heart doesn’t hurt that badly anymore when she thinks of Him. Turns out that he was also in this world too.

Tian Yangle!!! You dare to send me off to another world while you took care of that invasion!!! You sure have guts to leave me behind on Earth this time!!! Watch how I’m going to kick your ball when we meet again!

The smile in Jinghua’s eyes caused the black pearl to twitch with fear and excitement.

“Mother! Father just didn’t want that man to see you so he hides you away!” The Black Pearl World Gem said with a tender voice.

Jinghua didn’t answer the pearl. Instead, she grabbed the pearl with her mental energy and gave it a hard pinch, causing it to cry out pitifully.

“Mama- Wuwuwuwu, I’m sorry!!! Don’t be mad at Gem!”the cries from the Pearl were very childish and loud. Its voice sounded like a male but it was too high pitched.

Humph! What father? I’m not even married! Nor am I your mother!

The reason why the black pearl called Jinghua mother was because that man who created the pearl was her “former” husband, Tian Yangle. That guy sacrificed a whole world to create this Pearl using a Forbidden Arts, that’s why this pearl was pitch black even though it was very innocent.

The world that the Black Pearl originated from was a world that used the Forbidden Arts. That world has sacrificed countless planets and stolen countless lives- causing the world to emerge with the Origin of All Sins.

Jinghua remembers, now, that Tian Yangle used half of his Immortal Bones to purify that world first before he created this pearl. Which was why the pearl was very innocent in its core.

And the man that the pearl spoke of was the son of another dimension Heaven’s Son. Tian Yangle and that man have equal strength so it caused the man to use his last resort: sending Jinghua to other dimensions. It just happened that at that time, Jinghua was undergoing her Heavenly Trial to transcend to the next realm of cultivation. This caused her soul to divide itself up into 9999 pieces. The souls that went through trials and succeeded will return back to the original soul while the pieces of soul that failed were obliterated within the Dao’s Universe.

The Jinghua from Earth was supposed to be living a peaceful life- even as an assassin. However, because of a chaos tear in space somewhere, the Black Pearl senses her soul, causing it to rush toward Earth to find her. That pearl was the cause and effect of those new resources that earth people had found. In a way- that was how the Black Pearl repaid the world for taking care of Jinghua. However, by the time that the black pearl reaches earth, Chen Huafei had always gone to the netherworld. The causes of his death was very stupid too. Afterall, Chen Huafei was not weak. That man doesn’t even have a weakness.

If he had one then it would have been easier for Jinghua to deal with him.

Ah? His cause of death? Book.

A small children's picture book that wasn’t even weighed a pound, fell from a tree while he was sleeping underneath the so called tree with Jinghua’s thigh as his pillow. All it took was one hit and for some reason that was completely illogical and unreasonable, Chen Huafei died.

He’s heart stopped and his soul was gone. Just like that. CPR doesn’t work. Electric shock doesn’t work. Even when Jinghua used the Golden Acupuncture needles in his acupuncture points, he still doesn’t wake up. Jinghua even does things that are completely cruel and painful to wake him up, to restarts his heart and yet; it does nothing.

By the time that she got him to the hospital, his heart, brain and nerves were already not responding.

And now, she found out that that body called Chen Huafei was just a Doll?!

    Yeah.

Some balls need to be cracked.

Someone needs to be taught a lesson.

    A very painful lesson.

Suddenly, Long Yunli made a hissing sound at the back of her throat and she winced, drawing Jinghua’s attention away from the black pearl and back to her surroundings.

“What’s wrong Yun?” Jinghua asked. Long Yunli was a Dragon-Snake Heavenly Crown Beast. She has the abilities to Predict the future with her Divination Eyes. This was why she didn’t despair when Jinghua sealed them inside the pond, too.

“Some soldiers and two official governors are currently making their ways toward Xichang Town with orders from the Emperor to have you as the Third Prince, Prince Changyang, or Formerly known as Prince Yangli, Seventeenth wife.” Long Yunli hissed out, feeling both offended and infuriated that a mere human thinks that they have the authority to force their master into a marriage. Not to mention, as the 17th wives?!

Jinghua: Why am I not surprised at all?

All of the tamed beasts and even MingMing looked very irritated at that prediction.

Jinghua doesn’t seem to care about that prediction as much as the tamed beasts and her servant.

“When will they get here?” Jinghua asked instead, totally appearing nonchalant. She’s not interested in politics and she was not interested in the prince either. After all, she knows that he has a high chance of being that man. The one that left her on Earth while he sent his Doll Puppet to stay with her as he takes care of the Invasion from another Dimension.

And she has a bone to pick with that man. If, only if, Prince Yangli was him, then she’s going to make him suffer.

A sarcastic gleam entered Jinghua’s eyes, causing MingMing and all the other beasts to wince in sympathy.

They know alright. They all know that their Master was not someone who is evil in intentions or greedy but they also know that when she decided to hold a grudge, not even heaven's declaration can erase her maliciousness.

They had seen how forgiving she could be, know how intelligent she was, how nonchalant she is toward things that she has no interest in, but most of all, they all know that if she was ever to hate someone, then that person will never get a good life.

They had also known that she was also very possessive of those that are hers. All of the tamed beasts are more than happy to know that she loves them dearly. She takes care of them really well in both mental, physical, and spiritual. They are all happy to know, remember, and reciprocal her feelings for them.

So, even when she has to seal them all up for thousands of years, when they have to be apart from her for millions of years, they all still love her and are totally loyal to her.

Of course, this was if the master that they had knowledge wasn’t corrupted due to something else. After all, she had told them all that if they ever meet a Her that was corrupted with greed, jealousy, resentment, and all the negative attitude in the world, then they are to ignore her until she either died and reincarnated into someone better or get over those negativeness and forge herself into a better person.

This order was so that she wouldn’t use them for No-Good. This order was to protect their Karma. This order was because she really does care for them. And this is because she knows that some live, she will be so black-hearted that not even Grandma Mo’s Soup can erase her darkness. Thus, this order was to protect them.

They were lucky that in this world, her core personality wasn’t a bad person. Otherwise, they will have to continue waiting for more of her new reincarnation. And by then, god won’t even know if they would still be here anymore.

Long Yunli answered, “12 days,” with her eyes twitching.

Jinghua turned to Tian Feifei, the Chaos Blazed Origin Phoenix that was known as a Grandmaster Tactician and Strategist.

“Yes, master. It is as you had suspected. I sensed his soul in that man’s body. Although, the souls feel odd. Like, it's only a quarter of what it was supposed to be. The suffering that he must’ve gone through each night is not little at all.” Tian Feifei said lightly with a solemn tone. She knows exactly what an incomplete soul could do. She’s a phoenix after all.

For someone like Tiang Yangle, dividing his soul wasn't that big of a problem.

However, the problems are at the core of such soul-fragments. A fragment of such a soul can live a normal life but once it starts to cultivate, if such a soul fragment was not completed, then there are severe consequences.

Tian Feifei and Long Yunli turned toward each other and started to use their ability to search for more information about this man, Prince Changyang.

What they found... was both worrisome and yet causes a lot of eye-twitching.

Prince Yangli, formerly known as Prince Changyang, was already 21 years old this year. He has no wife but 12 concubines. And all 12 of those concubines had already died due to ... activities in bed. This year, an additional 5 concubines were called in and Tao Jinghua was one of the five women.

When the Imperial orders came in, the other four women cried for a day and night. Their family members react differently.

One of them was the Di-daughter to one of the general houses in this Kingdom. Her mother died when she was only a 3 years old child so her stepmother and step siblings look after her. Her stepmother cries herself nearly to death while her step siblings all wanted to hide her away. She was loved in the household. Her name was Murong Shifeng. Age 17 years old. She is good at weiqi, dancing, singing, poem and painting.

The second one was a girl from a scholar-house, named Liu Beihua. Ages is 16 years old. Specialized in the arts of dancing, singing, pipa, and flute. Her family, however... was very cold toward her. Her mother was the Di-Wife but she doesn’t love her husband and her husband also doesn’t love her. So, Liu Beihua was treated coldly in the house both by her mother and father. The ones that treated her right were actually her half-sisters and brothers. Her own blood older brothers treated her as if she didn't exist and had never talked to her with warmth. It was actually the half-siblings that watch after her and make sure that she was okay in both health and mental connection. Thus, the ones that cried when the imperial declaration came in were the half-siblings.

The third girl came from a military family. She was the first daughter of the Di-Wife. However, her mother was a lovely wife who treated everyone in the house with equal rights. Thus there was no ill-treatment of her. She is currently 17 years old this year and unlike the two other girls, she is good at martial arts, medicines, weiqi, dancing and flute. Her mother cries themselves to sleep but her father doesn’t react at all. Her brothers, however, were all worries. Her name was Cui Meiyu.

The fourth girl was an orphan in an official household. Her mother and father both died in a beast horde stampede long before she was even a year old. Her grandmothers and grandfather all treated her okay but not good either. Her father’s brother, her uncles, decided to use her as a tool to see if they could get connection to the Imperial Family. Thus, her name was chosen among the 5 girls that was to be sent to the Imperial Family. She was only 14 years old this year and her name is Qiang Feixin.

All four girls knew that this was the same as sending them to their deaths. Because they all knew that Prince Yangli has a spiritual problem that causes death to his concubines. Rumors of all sorts have already been made known around this whole kingdom. Even a 5 years old kid had heard of the tragedy that his concubines had to suffer and die from!

Tao Jinghua, however, does even bother to cry. It was no use. And yet, she still couldn’t help the twitching of her eyes when she knew the causes of the other girls' deaths.

Die in bed? Seriously? During sex?!

And he actually touches those women?

... Jinghua would like to say that she will not allow such a thing to happen if that man really was him.

Tao Jinghua knew herself well enough to know that she is one freaking damn possessive person. Back when Chen Huafei was still alive and they were dating, both Chen Huafei and Jinghua themselves were very possessive of each other. It was to the point of unhealthiness.

So, if Chen Huafei fucking damn touches other women in this world? Then, well, tough luck, asshole, you ain’t fucking damn marrying me.

Mingming and the rest of the beasts shiver at the coldness deep within their master’s eyes.

    A glint entered Jinghua’s eyes.

“We need to fake my death.” Jinghua’s voice was cold and her eyes were even colder. It causes Mingming to shivers while the other beasts all smile. That is their master alright!

She would never enter any harem! Ever!

“Of course, master.” Ju Feihua answered as she started to create a human body that looks exactly like Jinghua’s body.

And so, the next morning, one of Jinghua’s younger brothers went to wake her up to make food for them, only to find out that Jinghua had passed away in her sleep with a smile on her face.

The whole town boiled up. Some people started to cry right there on the street as news of her death made it around town.

Liu Ying cries so much that she fainted and only woke up a couple of days later.

The officials that got the Xichang Town were so happy that their job was already halfway done- only to find out that the girl had already died in her sleep and it was her funeral.

The two official governors exchange grimmed looks.

They both check the body, check the soul connection, and yes- this body is truly dead.

    The two official exchanges look.

There are three reasons why Jinghua chose to fake her dead.

The first reason lies in the fact that she doesn’t want her current family members to get in trouble because of her.

The second reason was due to the memories that she had reawakened.

The third reason was because she’s pissed off at that man. Her feelings were hurting so badly that her heart felt bruises from his death. And then, she found out that that man was just a doll? Fuck that sonofabitch to hell and back!!! She’s pissed and very enraged at him right now to want to see the man.

Thus, she chose to fake her death and leave this town.

Her new destination? Silver Moon Forest. A forbidden ground where not even immortal practitioners would set foot inside.

Fuck Chen Huafei and his new life in this world for now!

    See if I care!

Book One Chapter 11: Tao Jinghua Does Not Want to Cultivate
Beware of grammars and errors. This chapter has not yet been edited and proofread.

In this world, where Immortal Practitioners came in all sorts of ways and paths, cultivation resources are something that everyone would want and needed, very badly. It is a fact that for loose cultivators, it is far harder to build their foundation either due to lack of resources, support, or knowledge. Another reason was the opportunity and methods.

For Jinghua, it is the opposite. She has too many resources and helps, so opportunities aren’t needed at all. She also has more than a hundred various different kinds of methods, too. So, the problem on that front was none-existing.

And thus, she left behind the Universe Bags that had the resources from her sister to the family, along with a couple bags of her own money from that space. Of course, those bags were with her ever since they came back from that trip. Her father and mothers all agreed that she should be the one to keep it. Especially after knowing how talented she was with her earnings and the restaurants that she conducted while she took her former fiance's last name for those 3 years. Thus, when she faked her death, she left behind those things along with a letter that should help out the people that she left behind.

The only thing that she took with her was the secret Universe Bags that she had hidden. The one Universe Bag that has the resources from her space that she does not want anyone to know about.
She doesn’t want to cultivate like how the people of this world do. She trains herself with the arts and methods that she knows from her previous life but never had she thought to go beyond it. So, she really doesn’t care for those resources. And yes, she knows that she’s half-assing it.

It has already been more than 4 months since she left the Tao family home and Xichang Town.

Mingming had helped shield her body from any tracking spells while Du Tang Tang and Mu Xuan helped change her bloodline reading as a precaution against cultivators. In another world, her DNA sequences reading and all that bloodline thingy. It was so that no one would be able to find her using bloodline searching spells.

Changing her bloodline reading and makeup has changed her body somewhat. Before, Jinghua at the age of 16 years old was very small and tiny compared to Jinghua’s self in her previous life. Now, her body, heights, weight, and shape itself was different. Her bones were stronger, longer, and thus her height was 6 inches taller than before. Her blossom was slightly smaller, her waist was not as large as before, and thus, her body was more tomboyish compared to her previous life and this world original Jinghua’s life’s body. But nonetheless, there was still this presence about her that hasn’t changed at all. The elegant and the way that she moved was still very lethargic and profound.

Her skin was very white, very fair looking but not looking like a piece of paper. Her lips were naturally pinkish and full, her eyes were slightly larger compared to before, with natural long eyelashes, and overall, her physique had leveled up a couple of notches. Oh, there’s one difference on her face, alright. There were three tiny moles underneath her right eyes in the shape of an up-side-down triangle, now. Her charms and innate beauty was so profound that her Contracts Beasts all blinked at her once they saw her. Especially Mingming, who was shocked silly at her change since she’s now closer to her original appearance before she was reborn on Earth.

When she left Xichang Town, it was with the human form of Wang Baoyi and Tian Feifei beside her as her maid and guard. With a completely different look and manner, no one noticed that she was Tao Jinghua, the Tao Pottery Family’s girl, at all.

30 minutes after they left the town’s gate, they changed their methods of traveling.

Wang Baoyi, as a higher tier blood being of the Thunder Hawk race, was able to summon all kinds of wings creatures both from this very own world and the summoning realms, so he had summoned a large bird similar to the Nine Wings Bird. Only, its size was smaller and the feathers are in different colors. And a far more temperamental behavior. The Nine Wings Birds were bred by humans specifically for transportation. This bird? He was summoned by Wang Baoyi from another dimension entirely. So, the difference was huge.

Riding the Nine Wings Birds has caused Jinghua to love the sensation of flying high above so when Wang Baoyi had summoned the hawk, a Snow Pearl Hawk, Jinghua didn’t say anything against it.

Riding the Snow Pearl Hawk was a lot more enjoyable compared to riding the Nine Wings Birds. One of the reasons was that they didn’t have to use the talisman to secure ourselves onto the back of the birds.

Why? That’s because the Snow Pearl Hawk had this crown-like-object on its head in the shape of a pearl. And inside that crown-like-object pearl, called a Space Pearl House, was a separated space that completely shields away outsider forces like winds, rains and sounds.

Wang Baoyi had tamed the Snow Pearl Bird so this space was now his. He had furnished the space with a couple of large beds, tables, chairs, a couple of complete tea making sets, portable stoves, a portable fireplace, and four walls of bookshelves filled with books. This space itself was not big. But it is big enough for a small cabin house. About the size of a classroom in the 25th Century of Earth. Well, a college classroom, that is.

Tian Feifei’s face was brightly lit up with happiness as she placed her head on Jinghua’s laps while Jinghua herself petted her. While Jinghua was petting Tian Feifei, Wang Baoyi was flying the bird toward their new destination directly using mind links from within the space house. Next to the windows was Mingming and the temporary visible form of Hui Maoyi, who was teaching Jinghua the basics of alchemy flames a while ago and was now resting before going back to that space.

According to the map that Jinghua had forced Mingming to make, the Silver Moon Forest was located to the north of the Fire Blossom City, one of the top 5 large cities in this Kingdom. Going from Xichang Town to the Silver Moon Forest would take 5 months of riding the Snow Pearl Hawk. Thus, Jinghua wasn’t in a rush.

On the way, she would search the forest for resources such as herbs, edible greens, fungi, medicines, and kills of sort of beasts with Wang Baoyi and Tian Feifei’s help. Train her combat skills using those monstrous beasts as punching bags.

She had already trained the Stellar Martial Arts Manual and Skills to the point where she needed to find a place to settle down so that she could do the next thing. Which was to refine the 7 parts of her body. And to do this, she must find a steady place to live in for a couple of months.

Thus, Fire Blossom City was her next destination before going to the Silver Moon Forest.

Her identity this time was that of a semi-loose cultivator. Her name is still the same and so are the characters of her name. However, her age was 6 years older than the original Jinghua. She is 22 years old this year, according to her identity.

Her body, temperament, manner and knowledge wasn’t the same as the Tao Jinghua of the Tao Pottery family, anymore. She’s more like her true assassin self from the 25th Century of Earth.

Tao Jinghua was going to be a loose cultivator that specialized in alchemy, cooking, and blacksmith. Her spiritual roots are Fire, Water, Earth, and Wood. Her Soul constitution was of the Qua-Elemental Constitution. This had caused a lot of trouble for her. No sects would have wanted someone like her in their midst so she turned into a Loose Cultivator. Her current cultivation rank was a Level 9 Tier 7 Cultivator.

Pretty high for a woman her age and occupation. You can say that she’s a genius and a prodigal all in one go. However, due to her Spiritual Root and Soul Constitution, any sects with a mind of their own wouldn’t even look at her. Not even to be used as a furnace.

So, she survived all the way till today. This was going to be her story and back history. Tian Feifei and Wang Baoyi were going to be my maid and bodyguard whom I had saved from a beast tide 10 years ago. And they had been with me ever since.

Fire Blossom City has 6 Side Gates and 2 Main Gates. With a population of more than 16 million people, the size of Fire Blossom City was huge. The wall was made out of pure Ironstones and Silver-Rod Metal, causing the wall to shine with a silverish color when morning and sunset came. The foundation was deep enough to create 5 to 6 Underground Safety Zones in preparation for the 10-Years-Beast-Horde Stampede that occurs regularly.

When Jinghua rode the Snow Pearl hawk to the gate of the city, the guards there all stopped her.

Wang Baoyi and Tian Feifei came down with me to the ground.

Wang Baoyi was a 28 years old guard while Tian Feifei was a 32 years old maid with two scars on her face, ruining her beauty. Jinghua herself was a 22 years old woman with a cold and indifference personality.

Turns out that the Snow Pearl Hawk cannot go inside the city with them. Thus, Wang Baoyi had to turn the birds into a Summoner Stone to carry with him. Which was a shock to the guards since this is their first time to have ever seen a tamer capable of turning tamed beast into summoning stones.

They paid the entrance fees for loose cultivators before they were allowed to go in. The entrance fees for loose cultivators was 5 low grade jingshi per person. So, in total, they paid 15 low grade Jingshi.

Jinghua, Baoyi, and Feifei went around the city and found an old store that was half rotten to the ground. They found the owner of that store and bought the land, the store itself, and paid the taxes for it.

Jinghua does not plan on opening a store here in this city. In fact, she wanted to turn that house into a private home for themselves. However, when Tian Feifei brings out the point that she will be bored doing nothing after she finishes her training, Jinghua changed her mind. Boredom is the death of all Immortal! This is why she doesn’t want to cultivate into an immortal!

As for what kind of store this store was going to be, that can be decided after they rebuilt this place.

Jinghua went around and bought ironstone rocks while Feifei went to buy Ironwood. Baoyi, however, stayed to clean up the place and tore down everything.

The land that the building itself was on was about 5,800 sq. ft. The old building used to be a courtyard house. However, 20 years ago, a fight broke out and killed everyone in this family. The souls of those family members still haunted this place. So, the first thing that Baoyi did was to purify those souls and send them to the reincarnation cycle. After all, he can’t let his Master see those souls. Knowing her, she would have taken in those souls as Soul Puppets and made new bodies for them. Such a thing cannot be allowed!

They haven’t seen their Master for so long, they have no plan on letting anyone else take her times away from them!

So, Baoyi purified the souls and sent them to reincarnate with extreme prejudice.

By the time that Feifei and Jinghua came back, the old house was gone and the foundation was dug out with extreme precision and accuracy.

Jinghua decided to build the Ironwood-Stone house into a 7 story house. Level 1 to 3 will be used as the store and warehouse. Level 4, 5, 6, and 7 will be their own floor. Floor 4 was their office, while 5, 6, and 7 are their private floor. Of course, there’s also the basement dungeon that was used as their primary storage area and workshops.

While Jinghua watches as Baoyi and Feifei designed the anterior and exterior of their new temporary home, Jinghua herself was making plans on what to sell. Since she had this identity that specialized in Alchemy, Cooking, and Blacksmith, she should sell things from such subjects and topics. However, first she has to research to see which one she can and should sell and which one is a bad idea to sell.

So, she let out Hong Fenglong, Long Yunli, Yi Xuefei, Xian Dexi, and Guang Ning Ning out to gather information. These five beasts can only transform for a couple of days so it is best to not let people see them. And thus, they went around in disguise and looked completely like other cultivators with average cultivation ranks.

Jinghua might not have been in this world for long but she does know that any medical expertise, smiths, and cultivation boosting resources available are all appreciated by any kingdom out there.

However, just as valuable as such things are, they are also in danger with such situations. Human greed knows no bound, after all.

As an assassin, Jinghua knew this better than anyone. And so, she took a five-step precaution with her store.

Firstly, the security of the store itself was sealed within 12 layers of formations and arrays. Three of which are based on Swords and Blades Killing Arrays, three are illusion formation arrays, three are confusion arrays, three are killing arrays, and the rest all gravity arrays with Expelling formation engraved into their forms. From 10 Times of gravity to 50 times of gravity easily. Whoever was stupid enough to steal from the shop was placing their lives into Jinghua’s hand. And as an assassin, she never hesitates when it comes to killing and protecting herself.

Not only does Jinghua have to protect herself from thieves, she also has to take in consideration for Demonic Cultivators. And so, just those 12 layers of formation and arrays wasn’t enough. She has to put in Anti-Demonic Cultivation Arrays and Formations, too. And yes, this includes Half-Blood Demon, Quarter Blood-Demon, and even puppets.

By the time that Jinghua was done with her store protection plans, the store was a fortress in the making.

As for what she would sell in that store, there’s a lot of things that could sell actually. Since everyone wanted her to practice making things again, Jinghua figured that she would do just that.

There’s plenty of resources and materials for her to practice inside the space. And if it wasn’t enough, she could just plant and create some more. But then again, she doesn’t have to do that at all since there’s literally over a trillions different kinds of materials and resources inside the space for her to play with.

While Jinghua was thinking of what to make for the store, Baoyi and Feifei finished building the new building according to their designs and blueprint. After that, Jinghua took out the talisman, formation array plates, and inscripted stones for Feifei to place them into place within the store.

Once they were done, Jinghua and the two beasts in their human forms went around to buy anterior items for their home. For example, beds, nightstand, lights, drawer, etc. etc. Just because they can and they will.

Well, clearly Jinghua had the money to buy everything that she needed right now so she didn’t really have to make any. Or have her beasts made them for her. She might have them do that after she came back from the Silver Moon Forest but right now? No, there is no need.

The next day, the three of them started to make a list after the other five beasts came back with their information.

There’s five pills that're currently very highly sought after right now; Foundation Pills, Meridian Purifying Pill, Bone Quenching Pills, Comprehension Pills, and Body Purifying Pills. Although the two Body tempering liquids and qi condensing liquids was also considered highly sought after, Jinghua still didn’t choose those two into the stock of pills to sell.

As for food that can boost cultivation, Spiritual Grains of at least Mid-Grade in terms of purity were 1.5 times more expensive than usual in this city. This is because there’s plenty of cultivation clans fighting against each other for resources in this city. Sometimes, such Spiritual Grains was at least 2-3 times more expensive and there would still be fights over them.

As for artifacts, any magical and or spiritual artifacts were all sought after. Special artifacts that can save life and support life.

For those artifacts, Jinghua would have to learn how to properly make them first before she could even sell them out.

The next day after arranging the anterior of the shop in their new temporary home, Jinghua and Feifei made a schedule on the things that will be on sale.

The first floor was for the food boosting cultivation things. The second floor for alchemy pills and the third floor was for the artifacts.

The first floor was the first to be stock with spiritual grains that could be sold relatively easily.

As for the second and third floor, it is currently empty right now. The reason for the second floor was simple.

In Alchemy, there are various different kinds of pills. Those pills that are for mortals, pills for immortal, pills for beasts, pills specifically for certain illness, gender, or otherwise.

For mortals who were looking forward to building their foundation, the 5 pills listed above were the right one. However, they are all under the Wanwei Rank. Wanwei ranked pills aren’t actually real pills. It is more like a ball, pellet, or medicinal liquid than a real pill(dan).

Phase 1 to Phase 4 Martial Artist Practitioner can only use the Wanwei ranked pills. For Phase 5 to Phase 9 Practitioners, they need the pills from the Chun-Dan Ranks. Semi-Immortal Dan. Once a practitioner fully gets their first Immortal Core, then from then on, only the Yao-Dan rank dan will work for them.
And under the Yao-Dan ranked pills, there are four different types of dans; Lian Dan(Spiritual Essence Dan), Ling Dan(Soul Essence Dan), Benzhi Dan(Mental Spiritual Root Dan), and Zhen Dan(Consciousness Dan).

Lian Dan is the dan made from the arts of concocting pills using only Spiritual Powers and not Spiritual Flames.

Ling Dan are the dan made from the arts of concocting immortal pills using spiritual flames, spiritual powers, and soul essence.

Benzhi Dan are the dans made using the arts of concocting immortality dan using Soul Essence and Mental Spiritual Power to affect the functionality and origin of the dans.

And lastly, Zhen Dan are the dan made using Soul Essence, Mental Spiritual, Spiritual Flames, and the life-force of the alchemist.

Each of the Four Yao-Dan various ranked dans had their own uses and functions. Dan made using the Lian Dan method only affects the Spiritual soul and not the body and mind. The dan from Ling Dan affected both body and soul. While the dan from Benzhi affected only the elemental roots within the body and soul of a person. As for the dan made using the Zhen Dan methods, it affected both mental, physical, spiritual, and life force.

In truth, Zhen Dan was actually an Elixir and not Pills.

And this was far too troublesome for Jinghua at the moment. Because this world only has the Ling Dan methods of concorting pills. The other three methods aren’t known about in this world. And thus, Jinghua cannot sell any pills, potions, or otherwise made using these other three methods in this world. She can only use ‘Goods’ made from Ling Dan Methods.

Jinghua really has to be careful when she sells those alchemy products. Because if she accidentally sold a Dan instead of a Pill, then there will be a lot of trouble ahead. Which was why the second floor was still currently empty.

As for the spiritual grains sold on the first floor, naturally there were guards protecting it. Puppet Guards and formation arrays.

Bamboo Rice Stalk, Purple Cloud Rice, Tricorn Grains, Azure Beans, Moon Rain Oats, Green Blazed Wheat, Gold Stalk Wheat, Heart Blossom Rice, Calm Hearted Beans, and even rare grain like the Flame Blazed Thunder Rice, Flame Jade Rice, Dragon Blood Rice, and Transcendent Rice.

Bamboo Rice Stalk was slightly different from Purple Bamboo Spirit Grain. Purple Bamboo Spirit Grain is also a spiritual boosting food. It looks exactly like a bamboo plant but inside the bamboo itself was a large rice-grain full of spiritual energy. It tasted slightly sweet and smelled of bamboo shoots. A stem of Purple Bamboo Spirit Grain can reach up to 50 meters tall and its diameter can be as large as 50cm wide.

Bamboo Rice, however, isn't actually bamboo like rice. Nor does it grow like bamboo. It is rice in the shape of a bamboo shoot. Each stalk of grains has 120 large rice grains in the shape of a bamboo shoot. And thus, it earned the name Bamboo Rice.

Like the Purple Bamboo Spirit Grain, Bamboo rice also came in give grades based on purity; Low Purity, Mid-Purity, High-Purity, Peak Purity, and Pure Purity. In fact, every spiritual grain came in five various grades based on purity.

While the Purple Bamboo Spirit Grains are sold in nodes, the Bamboo Rice are sold per Grain. Since each grain was as large as two adult fists together.

Purple Cloud Rice was similar to the Bamboo Rice. Its physical traits were soft-cloud-like grains of rice that’s purple on the outside but pure white on the inside. It tasted sweet and has the scent of a mature peach.

Tricorn Grains are maize grains. Each grain has three layers of different texture. The first layer was filled with golden yellow texture that tasted like corn. The second layer was slightly purple in colored and tasted like sweet glutinous corn. The third layer of the tricorn grain was actually a golden liquid that tasted very sweet and starchy. The size of each corn was about the size of an adult's thumb.

Azure Beans are long beans that are azure in color. If you place the beans underneath water, then the color of the water will show the image of a large bean stalk that has azure beans hanging on it. Its taste was slightly milky in texture and like the tricorn grains, it has multiple different tastes in one bean stalk. The size of each azure bean was slightly smaller like the kidney beans on Earth.

All the other grains have their own physical appearance and tastes along with different various functions on the cultivator’s body. Like the Calm Hearted Beans, for example, eating it calms down the mind and makes it easier to breakthrough. It also has a small effect of getting rid of heart demons.

There are 20 varieties of spiritual grains that Jinghua is selling in the store. However, there’s a limit to how much and what quantity she will be selling per month. Actually, she doesn’t have to limit such a thing at all but as precautious against idiots and greedy bastards, putting a limitation to what is stock inside the store was a good idea.

So for now, a stock of 10,000 Jin each type of Low Grades grains varieties. 1,000 Jin each of the Mid Grades grains varieties. And 100 Jin of High Grade grains varieties. As for the Peak and Pure Grades grains, those aren’t for sale for now. And of course, the rarer grains like the Flame Blazed Thunder Rice, Flame Jade Rice, Dragon Blood Rice, and Moonshine Rice aren’t for sale. Hell, only the Bamboo Rice Stalk, Purple Cloud Rice, Transcendence Rice, Tricorn Grains, Azure Beans, Moon Rain Oats, Green Blazed Wheat, Gold Stalk Wheat, Heart Blossom Rice, and Calm Hearted Beans are sold here.

The price tags for the low grade grains vary from grains to grains. Depending on the type of grains and its function, the price tag changes.

Once Jinghua was satisfied with how the first floor was organized, she had Baoyi put the sign and board name of the store up.

Gems of Cultivation Store was the name of this store. And the date set to open is tomorrow.

While waiting for the opening day tomorrow, Jinghua had the rest of the time off for themselves. Both Feifei and Baoyi went around the city to search for more information while Jinghua stayed home to retrospect into her life so far and her future.

When they left Xichang Town, Jinghua hadn't planned on opening her meridian and bones marrow to cultivate in the immortal arts. However, after a couple of days away from Xichang town, her body suddenly started to be absorbed in the spiritual qi from her surrounding, causing her mortal body to automatically refine her body.

Turns out that she has been using Mental Strength and Soul Strength to train her body in the Stellar Martial Arts Manual and Skills without her knowledge. Or that the Stellar Martial Arts Manual and Skills was actually a very high grade martial arts manual for cultivating. The reason why she hasn’t officially turned into an immortal practitioner was due to her mental physique and her emotions.

So, when she left Xichang Town, the place that she had placed as a Home in her mind, the barrier that stopped her body from leveling up to the next level automatically crashed down completely.

To the shocks of all her contacted beasts and Mingming, a large surge of Spiritual Energy entered into that space, causing a lot of changes within that space itself. And as a result, Jinghua found herself halfway toward a Semi-Immortal Practitioner without even doing anything.

Fuck!!! How was she supposed to know that due to her opening her own acupuncture points within herself, she had opened up the meridian pathway that any cultivators would give an arm, leg, and their heads for!

Now she has to live on as an Immortal Practitioner!!! Shit, she didn’t know that due to her meridian pathways being opened, she now was able to absorb the surrounding spiritual qi naturally!

The thing about Jinghua awaking her memories of her previous lives was the fact that she now has a lot of knowledge and memories of what to do in such situations. So, she didn’t panic and quickly sealed up the opened meridian pathway within her body. But even then, her body was already a Semi-Immortal Practitioner.

Semi-Immortal Practitioners at her level can live up to 300-350 years old with no problem. But even with only 300s years of living such a life, Jinghua was already feeling a weariness and exhaustion that has nothing to do with her physical age but rather her mental and soul age. And a lot of boredom. Many, many, times of boredom.

The thing is, with the revealing of her previous lives memories, the things that should interest her now only cause her to have a small inkling of interest in it. And so, they don’t hold her interest for long. It was to the point that Jinghua had resorted to recalling memories from Earth entertainment programs to kick away the boredom that she felt on their way from Xichang Town.

For example, after flying on the Snow Pearl Hawks for 7 days, Jinghua got so bored that she started to hummed songs from Earth as she read more information about the world that this continent is on. Of course, this draws Feifei and Baoyi’s attentions, and so they had listen to her humming songs after songs.

During the journey of 4 months from Xichang town, Jinghua had learned a lot of new things. For example, the fact that there are ten major different cultures and 78 minor cultures in this continent.

The Shang Culture was similar to the Tang Dynasty culture, while the Fei Culture had a lot to do with Fire and Blood Baptise. The Situ Culture had to do with Charms Enchantment and Equal in Marriage- Meaning no 3 wives and 7 concubines bullshit. The Yang-and-Yin Culture had a lot to do with Birth and Death, the cycle of Fate, Reincarnation, and Karma. The Yi Culture originated from Agriculture so the people living in the Yiguo Empire specialized in farming techniques, both mortal and immortal ways. The Long Culture specialized in using beasts as tamer and supporters. Their knowledge of taming was first rank in the 12 Empire. So, during the holiday, the Yun Empire’s festival was all dragons theme. The WuYu Empire had similar culture to how the Shang Dynasty from Ancient Earth has. They worship many different kinds of gods; enough to create multiple small clans that have different Totems as their gods. They are polytheistic with many folk religions and beliefs. The Zhang Culture was similar to Korean’s Silla Dynasty. In fact, it could be seen as an Alternative Korean Dynasty with no problem. The other two cultures were very different from the rest. The Xiang culture was more in line with how the Tibetan Folk culture is based on their clothing and ways of living but with cultivation and a lot of nomad farming involved. While the Beitang Culture was more leaning toward Japanese Culture with all the Kimono and Samurai. And yes, there’s Ninja in this world, too, from the Beitang Cultural countries.

Those are the ten major cultures of this world. As for the minor cultures, there were too many to count.

This world was truly huge. In this continent alone, there were already more than 88 different varieties of cultures.

And there’s still the other 98 continents to consider, too. So, in a way, there’s actually a limitless amount of cultures that could be found in this world.

This causes Jinghua’s mind to have seizures for a couple of seconds. Where in the world would those other Continent be on since there’s only ONE SUN that we can see in the sky. And there’s still only 24 hours a day, 28-31 days per month, and a year still made out of 365 days. And then, the Immortal Calendars became a thing and Counting Stars became the norm for True Immortal and Jinghua’s mind just... crashed for a couple of minutes.

Then, she remembers that this world has multiply Sun, Moons and Realms.

Of course, when Mingming explains the Realms of The World in more detail, Jinghua then understands how truly large this world truly is. And the fact that the SUN that we see in the Sky was actually a Spiritual Object and not truly a SUN as in physical senses.

Anyway, Jinghua was still bored afterward when Mingming’s explanation didn’t cause her to feel excitement. Just a feeling of ... ‘Oh, so that’s why’.

And thus, Jinghua had to use such knowledge to deviate the boredom away from herself.

She had Mingming shared his memories and knowledge of the world with her through a method called the Crystal Memory Sharing. Mingming was very useful for such tasks since this world has blood connection with him through his grandfather. And thus, Jinghua had learned literally hundreds of ways about this world through his memory and understanding. She also learned various ways on how to gather accurate information from those Crystal Memory Sharing.

And thus, Jinghua was not surprised to learn of how the information that her death has caused that man to nearly go insane. What she was surprised at, however, was the news that he caused the death of his 10 concubines.

News and rumors were heard that that man’s 10 concubines had now left the world and the four concubines that had just entered the palace were now in a coma.

    ... Seriously?

What the fuck was that man doing?! Now, there’s even more reason for Jinghua to never let him find her! That asshole, he killed ten women in bed?!!!

    ... Chen Huafei, you sonofabitch!

Jinghua doesn't know if he should be ashamed for him or feel pity for those girls!

Ah! What feeling of sorry?! What feeling of sympathy?! There’s no such thing!

Hmph! He can marry and get any as many concubines that he likes! But he will never touch me with those hands that have touched other girls!

Tsk! Just thinking about it causes anger to nearly cloud her thinking!

    Hmph!

Jinghua ignored any news of that man and continued on with her life.

The store was opened quietly in the corner of that street.

Gems of Cultivation was a high end retail store. The door itself looks expensive enough to deter even nobles so the people that had come to see the store all left before they could even step near to the store. So, there has only been one person who has come inside.

This lady was called Jing Xiaonian. A Level 3 Tier 4 Martial Artist of 12 years old. Her family only has her father and her left. Her mother died of illness a long time ago. She doesn’t have any real memories of her mother, only a slight impression of what and who her mother was. Her father was both her mother and father at the same time.

Her father went to the nearby large forest to find herbs for her but was bitten by a snake. Luckily, her father’s innate constitution was strong so he’d already neutralized the majority of the poison inside him. However, his body now required a good amount of pure spiritual qi to heal. Yet, resources that have high purity are very expensive.

Thus, Jing Xiaonian can only search the whole city for the cheapest one. It has already been two weeks since she started searching around and yet, she couldn’t find a single store that has such pure grain but at a cheaper price.

And then, in a daze, she stumbles upon a store called “Gems of Cultivation”.

The store’s door was made out of high level ironwood and see-through glass. Thus, it was easy for Jing Xiaonian to see the inside. While her eyes landed on the grains on one of the counters, Jing Xiaonian didn’t notice as she stepped inside the store in a daze. Nor did she notice the greeting from one of the store staff.

Her eyes automatically went to one of the Transcendence Rice and saw the price tag. She was shocked. And then, happiness caused her whole body to shake. Finally, a store that has a low enough price for her.

Jing Xiaonian didn’t hesitate as she took out all her money and bought as much of those Transcendence Rice as she could. Not only that, she also chooses the ones with the most purity that she can.

In total, she’d chosen 12 pieces of Transcendence Rice. Each piece was as large as two of her fists together and they were stored inside a large Springtide Wood chest to prevent its aura from escaping. The reason why Transcendence Rice and any other Spiritual Grain was so expensive was due to the Springtide Wood chest that was used to store the rice and grain itself. Without it, the freshness of the Transcendence Rice itself would only last 3-5 hours after harvesting it. And due to the cost of the Springtide Wood itself, each storage chest cost a fee of its own. Thus, increasing the cost of each piece of Transcendence Rice and other spiritual grains by a lot.

For Jing Xiaonian to find a store that didn’t charge a price for the storage but instead rented out the Springtide Wood Storage chest for a period of time, instead, she was both grateful and shocked. More shocked but also grateful and awe at the owner’s decision.

She looked at the matrix array on the chest and found it to be so much more profound than she could understand. As one of the outer sect disciples from the Hidden Cloud sect, a sect that specialized in formation arrays, Jing Xiaonian had been taught to recognize and understand formation arrays from young. And yet, she couldn’t even begin to understand this array on the storage chest. It must’ve been at least a Grade 10 or above Inscription Formation since Jing Xiaonian couldn’t make heads or tail out of it.

Then, the staff give her a paper with information, conditions and rules to read and signs. After reading it, she understood why they didn’t charge separate fees for the storage chest.

That’s because this is the first and only time that it would be free for her to use the storage chest for a month. After a month, the chest will automatically go back to the shop via that magic array. However, the thing inside will not come back to the shop so she has to either use them up by then or find some other container for it. Of course, the last rule was that she could not tell, indirectly or directly, that she had rented out this chest. Otherwise, the chest will automatically be recalled back upon the contract’s breaches. After the first month, the second month rental for the chest and the following 5 more months would cost only 5 Low Grade Jingshi. And the previous rules still apply.

These clauses within the contract were worth more than just a terms and condition for her, so Jing Xiaonian happily signs the waiver with her own blood.

When she left the shop with only a small talisman that linked to that chest, she didn’t forget to take precaution and remember where this store is at. Just in case everything was a dream and she needs to come here to check on the memories again.

When she made it home, she tore apart the talisman and a large Springtide Wooden Chest appeared in her room. Then, following the direction that the store staff had given her, she let a drop of her blood drop into the array formation on the chest to open it.

Her eyes tear up at seeing the Transcendence Rice Grains pieces inside the chest. Finally, her father could now slowly heal up.

Jing Xiaonian didn’t waste time as she broke apart one whole Transcendence Rice Grain into smaller parts and put back most of the pieces back into the chest before she left with just one piece of it. Since the purity within the grain itself was very high, she didn’t need to worry about refining it as she directly cooked it over spiritual firewood just like a normal rice.

2 hours later, she had a bowl full of glutinous porridge full of sweet scented rice.

Jing Xiaonian slowly brings the bowl of transcendence rice porridge into her father’s room. Her father, Jing Wenqiu, was a Tier 6 level 7 Martial Artist. He specialised in Wood-Earthen technique but due to his body constitution, he could only cultivate to Tier 6. And due to his strength, he could only get as much as resources as he could without placing himself into danger. But, as a father, her father was very doting on her.

He wanted the best that he could give to her with the best of his ability. Thus, he was always going out to search for resources that could help Jing Xiaonian, which was how he got poisoned this time.

“Papa, woke up. I made you some porridge.” She called out to her father as she placed the bowl of porridge on the table and went to help her father sit up.

“Xiaonian, ah. You’re back? You don’t have to go out everyday to search for grain, baa. I just need to sleep and rest for a couple of days.” Jing Wenqiu said with heartache as he saw how excited his 12 years old child was. His baby girl was far maturer than kids her age since her mother died years ago. So, he really didn’t want to see her suffer so, either.

She’s his world. If anything happened to her, he wouldn’t be able to live on.

“Papa, I found a shop that sold spiritual grains cheap enough for me to buy some. Here, eat this,” Jing Xiaonian said as she carefully spoon fed her father after carefully blowing on the porridge. Her father had looked at her with a somewhat worried gaze but also a warm look in his eyes at her actions, too.

He worries that she might have done things that aren’t good just for more money to buy him the Spiritual Grains. But he was also so content with how strong, mature, and piety she was to him, too. And then, he worries that he will be a burden for her. With her skills, if she lived within the ground of her sect, then she wouldn’t need to worry about him. But since she didn’t want to leave him alone, she had chosen to commune from home to the sect everyday instead.

After eating, worrying over her, and being worried in general, Jing Papa fell asleep.

Jing Xiaonian looked at her sleeping father and a determined look entered her eyes. She took out the books on Formation Arrays that her teachers had given her to study and determinedly start reading it from the beginning again.

She wants to at the very least learn how to inscribe a beginner level Formation Array onto engravement parchment paper so that she could sell them for more funds to buy her father more Spiritual Grain and pay for the rental of the Springtide Wood chest.

Jing Xiaonian was a genius at Formation Array and she knew it. Thus, she was determined to reach her current goal by the end of the week.

While Jing Xiaonian’s action took toward a more determined path, at the store, Tao Jinghua was looking at the signed contract between her store and Jing Xiaonian.

Jinghua had a feeling that that little girl will soon become a regular at her store. And she was right when not even 3 days later, the girl came back with 10 of Formation Array engraved on spirit engravement parchment. She then hesitated to ask if this store buys formation array engravement.

Jinghua looked at the girl with a long intense look, causing the said girl to tense nervously.

“That will depend on the grade of the inscription itself, the formation array’s functionality, ability, duration, and energy usage. If your formation array does not meet the requirement then I can’t buy it from you. Is that fine with you?” Jinghua asked the girl with a neutral expression on her face. Her actions itself wasn’t respectful but it wasn’t disrespectful either.

Jing Xiaonian nervously nodded her head in understanding.

“Follow me, then. Mingming, tend to the store.” Jinghua told a certain bird. Mingming nodded in understanding as he stepped to the counter and started watching the store.

Jinghua leads the girl to the second floor, where it provides more privacy for them to chat.

Once seated, she gestures for the girl to show her the inscribed goods. Jing Xiaonian nervously took out the engravement inscription that she did and placed them on the table for Jinghua to see.

Jinghua exams the goods with critical eyes.

2 Low Grade Spiritual Qi Formation Array, 4 Low Grade of Presence Hiding Formation Array, and 4 Low Grade Scent Prevention Formation Array. The functionality of the three Formation Array was okay and it could be used by anyone within Phase 1 Practitioners. The duration for the Low Grade Spiritual Qi Formation would last for 3 days and 2 nights. The Duration for the Low Grade Presence Hiding Formation would last 3 hours. And the Low Grade Scent Prevention Formation Array would last for 12 hours each. As for the energy usage... there’s a couple of places within the inscription itself that cause the energy to leak out, and reduce the duration and stability of the formations.

Jinghua told her this as she pointed to certain spots in the formation arrays that was not inscribed well enough either because she doesn’t have enough spiritual qi to imbue in the energy or because her energy manipulation control was shaky at its best.

The girl looked disappointed but then her attention caught on to the fact that Jinghua was actively teaching her where, how, and why her inscription wasn’t up to Jinghua’s standard and she perked up.

“You can sell these at the other stores in this city with no problem. However, here, I don’t accept half-bake goods.” Jinghua said as she finished her small lectures. The girl’s eyes were twinkling with stars as she nodded in understanding. She left the store with a far better understanding of Inscription than the books that her teacher had provided.

Jinghua looked at the excited girl as she left the store with an amused look in her eyes. She didn’t intend to teach or lecture the young girl like that but it just happened. This will be the first and last time that she has done so for the girl.

And she was right. The next time the girl came back, it was with a pack of Fully Functional, Proper, Low Grade Formation Arrays to trade in for Spiritual Grains.

Jinghua happily trades with her. And continue to do so when she brings in other Formation Array Inscriptions that weren’t half-ass or not 100% Perfect no matter the Grade.

She doesn’t lecture her on Formation Array again, however, when asked if there’s anything missing or wrong about the Formation Array, Jinghua would either give her a rating, which goes from 1% to 100% in terms of perfection.

A couple of her Formation Array works were 98% but there were those rare ones that were 100% perfect. The majority of the others were all 99% and that was enough for Jinghua to accept her works as trades for Spiritual Grains.

What Jinghua didn’t tell that girl was the fact that Jinghua had made a couple of changes on those Formation Array inscriptions after collecting them from the girl. For example, the duration was increased, the functionality increased in terms of range and sensitivity, and subtlety was added. By subtlety, Jinghua means that she put illusion, charms, enchantment, and wards on them to hell and back. Anyone wearing it won’t draw attention from anyone without wanting to at all.

Once she collected enough Formation Arrays works and changed them to her liking, she bundled them up into Stacks and auctioned them off for other resources or funds. And oddly enough, the resources and funds that she gained back were worth ten times that of the Spiritual Grains that she had originally exchanged them for. Probably because of the extra subtleties that she had added.

The next time that the girl came back was three months after her contract with the Jinghua and the Store ended.

By then, a year had already passed by and she was still the only customer that passed the wards placed in front of the door to detour away customers who DOES NOT NEED the store. As in, they haven’t searched hard enough for a store to have cheaper Spiritual Grains and that they actually have enough money for the other store.

And so, Jing Xiaonian continues to be the only customer that Gems of Cultivation has.

This time she shows up with a couple stacks of Mid-Grade Formation Array in hope to exchange it to Spiritual Grains.

There’s just a problem with that. All of those Formation Arrays aren’t up to standard. For a Mid-Grade Formation Array, it’s perfection grade was only at the range of 80%- 89%. And Jinghua has no problem telling her that. And Jinghua does not take in anything that’s less than 2-3% less than 100%. The lowest that Jinghua would accept was 97%. And those Mid-Grade Formation Array is only in the 80s%, with the highest grade being 89%. Those aren’t even close to what Jinghua would take.

Jing Xiaonian had looked shocked and dismayed for a while and then confused and started to check her works diligently with a determination that nearly tore the parchment apart.

However, no matter how much she checks, she couldn’t see why it wasn’t up to standard for Jinghua.

Jinghua watches the girl. Truly, she’s a little jealous of her. Her passion, her excitement, her diligence in studying, her attitude towards cultivation in general was something that Jinghua wished she still has.

The thing about getting her memories back was this utterly sensation of boredom and everything that seemed new was actually not really new since she had already experienced it before.

Inscription for Formation Array was just one of the subjects that Jinghua had plenty of experiences on from previouses lives.

After two hours of Jinghua reading a book to past time while Jing Xiaonian continued to scrutinize her own works, the opening hours for the store was finally closed and Jing Xiaonian took back her work to continue to study it.

The next time that Jing Xiaonian came back was two week later.

She looks like she hasn’t slept since their last meeting.

The first sentence out of her mouth was, “Please, I can’t find where the inscription went wrong or not enough.” as she kneel down with her head on the floor, facing toward the counter where Jinghua was reading the report that Mingming compiled for her.

Jinghua put away the report and sighed out loud before leading the girl to the second floor. This girl was getting very familiar with this room, that’s for sure, with the amount of times that she had been here.

The only differences, if she notices, was the fact that this floor isn’t empty anymore.

There’s five various grades of pills; Low, Mid, High, Peak and Pure. The purer the pills, the more expensive it was.

In porcelain bottles ranging from various different colors, from small to larger size, where the Foundation Pills, Meridian Purifying Pill, Bone Quenching Pills, Comprehension Pills, and the Body Purifying Pills. Each porcelain bottle where clearly labeled with price tags, grade of purity, duration until the pill isn’t safe to use anymore, and caution against allergy and against body condition such as pregnancy and safety.

Jing Xiaonian, however, was far too concentrated on her own problem to notice the change on the second floor. Her eyes didn’t even move from the table where she had placed her works on.

In a way, she’s very greedy for her own work to be 100% Perfection to the point that she’s completely ignorant of her surroundings. In another view, she’s very naive and very tunnel-vision when she’s concentrating on something.

But then again, this girl was only 12 years old. No, 13 years old. In this world, such an age was not a kid anymore.

This reminds me that there’s a lot of orphans in this city. According to the report that Mingming had given me, a new batch of child-orphans had just come from the surrounding smaller villages and into this city.

This girl was one of such orphan, only in a far better condition since her father was still alive and clearly loved her enough to let her go into one of the larger sects that specialized in Formation Array. Since the sect was within this very city, she didn’t have to leave home and could commune from home to the sect everyday.

Jinghua didn’t sighed out loud but she did so internally as she took the Formation Array inscribed into parchment paper(scroll) that Jing Xiaonian worked on. She laid the first work on the table and pointed with her finger toward one particularly spot.

“Here, the spiritual energy is oddly dense and uneven. And here, this part barely has any intention placed on it. If I would use this scroll and meet a poisonous beast-snake, who’s tongue can sense far more better than even a dog, the beast would notice me right away because there’s two weaknesses within this formation array scroll. This scroll has five weaknesses, here, here, here, here, and here. There’s too much intention on these two parts but here and here lack the necessary spiritual energy.” Jinghua spent 20 minutes pointing out areas within the scrolls of formation arrays that were the weaknesses to Jing Xiaonian. Some areas, the formation array was inscribed with the wrong direction, characters, symbols, or marks. Some areas, she used the correct signs, characters, letters, and such but she got the meaning wrong and so the intention behind the symbols or such was wrong.

But this was understandable since she’s still learning.

And so, Jinghua pointed out such and such places for Jing Xiaonian.

Jinghua finished with “This will be the last time that I will help you with this problem. For one thing, I am not your teacher or mentor or even your parents. For another, you are too quick to try to make formation array inscriptions already when you should be learning the basics. The reason why your works don't make it to Perfection was due to your lack of Literacy, Arithmetic, Arts, and comprehension skills. You are still too young. Your brain isn’t capable of comprehending the works that you wanted to make. My advice for you is to continue learning the basics and practice doing what you have been doing but don’t sell them to my shop anymore until your skills are up to my standard. If you need money and resources, then you can sell your works to other shops and use that money to buy from my shop. I am sure that other shops will buy from you with no problem. Or better yet, exchange them in for resources at your sect. Talk to your mentor, seniors, and peers. Don’t just come here for advice. With me helping you with your skills and abilities like this will cause your karma to go weary.” Jinghua said to a surprisingly tense Jing Xiaonian.

Jing Xiaonian can only nod in reply as he tries to memorize every word that Tao Jinghua says.

It was a couple silent minutes of Jinghua’s last sentence that Jing Xiaonian noticed the changes in the room- or rather, the lobby that they were using.

She blinks a couple of times as she took in the changes.

“Boss, these are... alchemy pills?” Yes, Jing Xiaonian has been calling Jinghua Boss. Not Owner but Boss.

“Yes. However, you can’t buy anything here without passing a trial first. Go ahead and read the condition on that wall over there.” Jinghua said as she pointed toward the wall beside the door that led to the first floor.

Jing Xiaonian rose up from her chair and walked toward the wall to read the rules and conditions that this store has. She was pretty used to how everything has condition in this shop.

As she read the so called trial’s rules and conditions, Jing Xiaonian found herself wishing that this store was a sect and accepting people. However, clearly, the rules stated that this store was not accepting such people, mortal or immortal.

Of course, there is an exception; orphans who truly have no one left. Who has a somewhat clean of moral compass. Who isn’t a psychopath, killer, murderer, schemers, or greedy. Or a criminal in general.

Jing Xiaonian pout in disappointment as she left the store.

Jinghua watches as the girl- no, the lady now leaves the store and exchanges a look with Mingming.

“Mingming, look after the store. It is time,” Jinghua said as she made her way toward the door that should be the closet door. Only, it wasn’t the closest door but rather an elevator transportation device that would only work if Jinghua or anyone that Jinghua trust willed it.

Jinghua has been in this city with Mingming and the other for a couple of months already. However, her cultivation was still not showing any signs of finishing with whatever it was that it was currently doing. And thus, Jinghua hasn’t left this store at all after they had finished furnishing the store properly.

    Until now that is.

Whatever it was that her body was doing clearly wasn’t normal as Mingming didn’t know what it was. The others inside the space do know but they couldn’t talk about it. So, all that Jinghua could do was continue doing what she was doing.

She made her way toward the basement facility where Long Yunli, Wang Baoyi, Yi Xuefei, Xian Dexi, Guang Ning Ning, and Fue Lei had created for her martial arts and spiritual training.

Inside the basement was a huge cave-like system full of all sorts of gems mineral, spiritual springs, spiritual formation arrays, time dilution arrays, charms, enchanted, and everything could be found within and on this basement facility.

Tao Jinghua sit down on the Ice-Flower-Lotus and close her eyes.

She sends her conscious toward the inside of herself and found that... her 7 internal organs has changes.

Her heart, lungs, livers, kidneys, bladders, pancreas, and spleens was completely... different.

Jinghua signed out loud once she noticed the changes of her body.

Shit! These body parts had already automatically refined itself! She didn't even have to do anything!

    Oh, godddamnit!
