I just finished watching Aquaman and man it was good. Normally the book is better than the movie. So I was thinking back to other comic/ novel characters that was changed from the original in the novel into something better in the movie. There we’re two that came to mind-
    Aquaman:

    Grover:

Can anyone else think of another character that was better than the original?

For me Movies and Books are different so even if a book is adapted into a movie or vice versa I don't really give a fck.

i think JP is better in the book. The cast wasn't as dumb as in the movies.

I like the Muppets’ Christmas Carol better than the book, and I’m a Dickens fan...

Generally, I very much prefer the source material, since often the movie omits some things, or changes, not always for better.
Though I got to admit, there were a couple movies that were better than the source material (though I can't remember at all which movies they were)

But in the book Hammond is a giant dick and the girl is THE WORST iirc she almost gets them killed 3 times and was a brat. At least in the movies you like everyone, and let’s not forget the movie has Jeff Goldblum

I can’t agree. At least not with Jurassic Park. The book I found was better. Within just the first few chapters you can see how much better it was. Although I will admit the visuals of the dinosaurs we’re epic.

The girl is actual useful. Yeah, we need some bad guys. I haven't read it in a while and the little girl wasn't something i hated.

There have been so many actors that played Spider-Man it’s tough to choose which was the best. With that said I’ll give comics some props being the original source material. But my heart goes to the cartoon first specifically-

    Than the movies.
At least that’s what I think.

Eh? Really? I mean, I don't remember much from the Grover from the movies because the entire movie was so trashy that none of the characters remained in my head, but... I really liked the Grover from the books~

And well, considering how terrible the movie was, I have a hard time thinking this character was good... I mean, if he was a good character I'd probably remember him I think... >.>

Grover in the book was more shy and introspective. The Grover from the movie was outgoing skirt chaser. He was more fun and relatable in the movie. In the book Percy always seem to have this gap or barrier that kept him separate from the rest of the characters. Which is what is supposed to happen with an MC, but a lot of times it felt like he had a huge burden on his shoulders. While the movie had more of a feel of comrades then sidekicks. A group of friends on a journey. Willing to help carry some of the burdens he was lifting.
At least that’s what I think.

Eh? Really? It felt like everyone were his sidekicks in the movie, they seemed super irrelevant for the most part! >.<

I mean, how much did Anabeth do anyways?

Anabeth is a sore point for me. When I saw her I was so disappointed. She didn’t look anything like the Anabeth from the books. Don’t get me wrong she acted really well, but her looks just turn me off. So I’ll leave her as an unremarkable sidekick for now.

I like The Lord of the Rings movies much better than the novel. Too many details and slow pace is not my thing
