Hello, Fellow Daoists I want to know if Advent of the Archmage has good kingdom building plot. For example, does he really tries to improve the infrastructure like in Release that Witch or Tales of the Reincarnated Lord. Thank you in advance
The story is more focused on magic, fighting, interactions between different races and some other stuff.
He gets a territory which he manages and expands. However, I've only read the chapters on NU so I don't know what happens after those.
Nah. I felt cheated and dropped. Kingdom Building is not even a minor focus. I recommend Rise of the Lord on Royal Road and My Castle, My Castellan
My favorite kingdom building novels other than Release that Witch or Tales of the Reincarnated Lord. Are- https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/544/master-of-all-jack-of-none https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/3972/the-defective-hermit I have a few others that’s worth mentioning, but I’ll stop. Drop a reply if you want more.
As far as Advent goes. I drop it because Spoiler: Spoiler He kills a bunch of hot elf girls. It’s like the author hate elves or something. It’s ridiculous. He could have done it in a hundred different ways to keep them alive. Personally if you write about a character and grow attached to them. You of course want to see how it goes. There will be time where you’ll have to kill off certain characters, but all of them. So I gave the novel the consideration it gave it’s Elves. I flushed it.
It started out great but then the MC who was kind , level headed individual becomes convoluted, evil , dark, despotic and outright stupid... It was such a sad turn of events I dropped it at around 400 chapters... Still feel bad about how much the expectations were cast to garbage
I’m not talking about the dark elves. It was the high elves that I had a problem with. Especially when they we’re prominent characters in the game.
