And people who never got far enough into the material to see how it is resolved.

I thought the production quality was excellent, and the story rendition so far was good. I would say its worth the watch, but I have a shameful love of isekai, so that.

mmmm the op and ed songs are disappointing, the story for now seems to be ok, fake already make an appearance, bitch and trash are being faithful to the original material. and the 3 retards haven't make another cameo for now.

edit: you can watch the actual eps at 2x and you won't miss anything

So far I enjoy the series. I've read both the webnovel and the light novel version. Happy that they have done the source material justice so far.
I do admit I can imagine some people finding the 1st episode hard to get through, but its worth every bit. It is a major part of the MCs character development and mentality. I would have dropped the anime if they glossed over it or removed it or did it in a bad way because it was vital to mc growth and story.

Good for you then cause it adapted LN version which the MC have less severe trust issues than in the WN

yeah but shes aiming for the other hero who likes that whole idea of rescuing an abused woman. the duel that will occur later is a good representation of this. In normal society yes that would be hushed up but this princess is quite different than normal, as the story demonstra tes throughout, and does not care for social norms, traditons, mores etc

She is a princess, if she wanted to aim for the other hero, all she had to do was be the only female in his party. Not to mention, how does she even know he likes rescuing abused women?

And yes, I know what she is like since I read the manga but it doesn't make it any less ridiculous.

    That seems bad.

So if you’re a fan of shield Hero LN you’d like it, but maybe not if you’re not a fan?

I’m wondering if this is a good experience for someone who is not a fan?

:cookie: I will hold off a bit. :blobhug:

I love Slime. But I don’t mind morally ambiguous MCs...

I know that's why I said some trust issues not a whole lot of :blobpats: and the LN is entirely different too after vol 3 or 4 where they go to onsen

Looks like the Anime people are about to enter the Isekai phase that the Novel people went through with the "successful" adaptations of Tensei shitara, Overlord, and now this.

Most say it's bad timing. If it was released before the Me Too movement then it won't have suffered as much.
Sadly, anime fans are willfully ignorant of how cruel sexism is in Japan.
Oh well, most anime need U.S. companies to make money, so it will change.
Unless Shield Hero is the next Gundam in Japan, U.S boycotts will kill any hope for a second season. And that's when anime get good.... what a shame

And there’s the upcoming controversy for a Goblin Slayer as well. Undoubtedly the fallout will be bad from that.

The novel was amazing, the anime is great ^^ as someone said before, the controversy is due to the false rape accusations the princess made, not because the anime is bad or anything.

Well misguided feminism is a problem but instead of trying to be understanding, the other side is just as stubborn.
I recall someone here talking about shooting down Restaurant that refuses to serve LBGTQ.
Humans obsession with homogeneity is crazy.
It's okay for others to disagree with you. It's not the end of the world.
Oh well, I don't care either way.
Women shop more than men. It is stupid for producers to not consider them. Hopefully, we get more female superheroes like Moribito

How about the manga? Which is better the manga or the LN?
