Im looking for a novel where the main character isn't chosen or something and kinda just does stuff and isn't mostly just following along with the plans of some background figure. It would also be pretty great if they weren't shit on by/used by every single non main character they meet. An independent main character with the ability to actually make friends not just overpower people into being his allies when they realize they cant kill him
The Amber Sword - (fantasy) Similar to I am the Monarch in some sense where MC leads everyone while knowing the future. One of the few CN where MC is overestimated instead of underestimated and not for comedic reasons. Miracle Throne - (cultivation) Most people MC makes his allies are stronger than him at the time and while they have their plans, MC is usually the one leading them on by a rope. (usually through offering them economic or cultivation benefits). Though being a cultivation novel being underestimated happens as always. But the MC actually gains reputation so later on when he gets reputation, people actually know who he is and are willing to sit down even if they are stronger. To Be a Power in the Shadows! - (fantasy) MC acts like a stooge weakling, but in the background is in control of a secret organization and pretty much destroys everyone's plans. He is overpowered though so he does force people with strength but he isn't trying to make enemies or allies, simply doing his own thing and people follow him.
Random question but is this what the story of Jade Dynasty was based on? also where does the lore for the rest of the races come from in the game if you know what im talking about.
Cultivation Chat Group. Cultivation in the modern world. MC is mistakenly added to their group and begins cultivating.
The New Gate... well I dropped it still at volume 1, but it sounds (so far) like what you wrote in the thread. It’s actually not bad, probably good even, but I’m not into that genre right now...
Nightfall. MC is not almighty and just do what he can to live good. Oh, yeah, forget to mention that author makes really great plot twists and likes to play with readers perception and expectations.
Pursuing immortality Modern age cultivator that just rediscovers things, barely any fighting. That it's well written is the best thing about it.
Yes, Jade Dynasty are based on Zhu Xian novel. The novel focused to humans practicioner, there's also mention, hint and backstory about entity from higher plane/Divine Realm called god and goddes that came to human world (well it can be asumed as Athan and Etherkin). Jade Dynasty become divergent in later expansion because developer added Divine Realm, Athan and Etherkin character main story. Oh yeah in JD Biyao are revived but she got amnesia, Zhang Xiaofan aka Shaw Danon are hunted down because his posession of Heavenly Tome/Liburis/Tian Shu
cool, i used to play that game years ago and just downloaded the reborn version yesterday and this was too weird of a coincidence
