She isn't being a narcissist imo, she is being motherly, in her mind Evandel IS her child, no if or buts. She is the child she saw 4 years ago which she thought was her future child, she is just adjusting to method she was conceived. As far as Rachel is concerned Evandel is her child, few mothers would think their child isn't lovely.

I hope the time it takes for Hajin to come back to life is long enough for Sahyuk to arrive there and actually see the corpse, or at the very least long enough to be able to see Jains and the rest reactions to Boss crying.

The only grey area is the activation time. Does it mean his heart has to stop beating? Cessation of all brain activity? If it doesn't kick in until every single one of his cells dies then it could be literal months.

I gotta say though, it's nice that that hunch came true. Hajin needed a good ass kicking to realize that he's been playing this way too relaxed and non-interventionist. Unfortunately, I doubt he'll actually learn anything from it, even though it is an excellent moment of self-reflection since there's a lot of ways to gain potential powers that were discarded from the get go. But hey, who knows? This very well may be a very nice turning point in the novel.
