    Are you really going to be this petty?
    I'm sorry if I offended you but I was just making a joke. if you read ANY Wuxia Xianxia novels than you definitely know what I'm talking about.
    I referenced to geishas because of their powder's resemblance to white jade.
    Can you look at that picture and tell me they don't look alike?

    Me? Petty? I was honestly confused. The two are very distinct so I don't get it why you did it. I mean, you go like this:
    Expectations;
    Reality;
    Let's just get a confirmed geisha;
    See the resemblance;
    After expectations, you go off the rail.
    And I do read those novels and I still don't get what you are talking about. Maybe you need to read books about geisha instead? Because geisha are really different.
    And no, they don't look like jade. First, the jade photo you give as example is terribly lighted and doesn't really show what jade looks like. It looks like aspirin tablets instead. Since your picture comes from Etsy, I'll give examples from Etsy too:

    There is even a much better version of the jade from your example:

    Still bad but the the one on the right better displays the property of the jade. The person taking this photo is just really horrible in photography.

    And, no they don't look alike. I see a photo, I see a real physical jade and no they don't look alike.

    Lol this thread went so off topic, but to answer you, sword like eyebrow is the literal translation of what chinese people name a certain shape of eyebrows but basically describong " straight eyebrows slanting upwards and outwards"

    Here is a much more detailed description:

    Leaving chinese here if someone else wants to help translate too
    剑眉:双眉偏浓同时眉形直线上扬,眉毛也顺势而上,不杂乱卷曲,像两把剑一般的立在眼的上方,这就是“剑眉”,面相里说剑眉的人一般行事光明磊落,且威信十足.
    Sword brows: The two eyebrows are thicker and the middle of eyebrows are straight . The eyebrows naturally point up. They are not cluttered and curled. They are like two swords standing above the eyes. This is the "sword eyebrow". People with these eyebrows generally act straighfoward and upright. Also full of prestige/ trustworthy.

    Basically , paired with other features, sword like brows are a sign of a strong military general, or a good king.

    Without doing further research, this probably has to do with chinese face reading, which is something like fortune telling from reading the features of a persons face

    If you put the chinese name in google, you can see lots of examples for a better picture

    I think you mean physiognomy. Phrenology measures bumps in the skull.
