Didn't read it yet, lets see how it turns out https://merakiscans.com/release-that-witch/00/ Edit: Prologue: I pretend I didn't see it Chapter 1: Hmm... for now it feels a bit all over the place Overall: Their character looks feels weird somehow. Garcia is dumber than Timothy? Timothy is weaker than a little girl(Tilly)? And Tilly is as strong as Garcia?
mmm... so so? It's a 5/10 first impression. The drawing aren't even on par to the novel's description of the characters. It feels like a fan made manga instead of a proper adaptation.
this looks worse than LMS when they released the webtoon.. they had to change authors mid way and its still meh
I'll be honest that my expectations were low so when I looked at the prologue I was shocked that it might be good cuz it could be worse *the great conqueror manhua flashbacks Jesus fuck was that manhua butchered to oblivion way worse than other manhua
Dammit, it feels like I am reading Master Gu's manhua again. Art so gg, where are the artists who drew 龙虎门?
I feel like Anna's characterization has been butchered by her chibi-fied appearance. No longer the mature-beyond-her-years type. She's now just a bizarrely lolified teen. I feel morally conflicted endorsing her as a main heroine. Tilly's design is cute and passable, but I feel like they slightly missed the mark on her outfit. Imoutos are always a 10/10 though. The prologue chapter was a good laugh though. Chapter 1 thankfully brought back the seriousness.
I must say, after reading the Solo Levelling I have high hopes on this, it's awful that all my enthusiasm was killed in that mess of a prologue, I mean, Release that Witch should be a Cool and Intelligent type of history but looks like they will transform the manhua in a Japanese style romantic comedy history. Sincerely my heart can withstand with this butchering of a great history.
Meh ruined, first thing when Roland saw witch, he didn't even believe in witches or super powers. But now instead we're shown how Roland immediately thinks of Witches as wasted resources... Novels adapted to manga is pretty much just synonymous with disappointment I guess...
The guys are so off of the original that they couldn't even paint Roland's hair with the right color.....
