Book 1 Chapter 9: Chu Meng Yi's Going Out to Play

This chapter has not yet been edited or proofread. Grammars and errors would be the last of your reader's worries. Read at your own discretion.
AS OF DEC. 5TH, 2021 THIS CHAPTER IS NOW FULLY EDITED. However, if there are still errors and run-on sentences or grammar, please let me know.

Chu Meng Yi’s name was not a well-known name in Clear Sea Town. No, the ones that are well known were the kids and Yu Ying. Only the top brass of the brasses knew who actually owned The Store. And it certainly wasn’t Yu Ying or the kids.

Although Yu Ying and the kids aren’t the owners of The Store, everyone in Clear Sea Town and its surrounding neighbors' villages, towns, and cities knows about them.

Their positions in Clear Sea Town, now Clear Sea City, were even higher than a large sect in this region’s Sect’s Leader position. This was especially true for Yu Ying, who was the face of the Store. In more than one way...

Yes. The Store. Chu Meng Yi’s store was now known as The Store. Since the full name was too long.

It has already been more than 10 years since Chu Meng Yi started to live in this world.

His strength and cultivation level were already even higher than the strongest person on this continent. His skills in the arts of alchemy and blacksmith were already high enough for him to create any Artifact items that he desired.

And yet, just as strong as he was, he was also very ignorant of this world’s information. Why? Because a certain Li Youran kept kicking away any common sense that he had developed. So, yes, Chu Meng Yi was still slightly naive when it comes to things like common sense and common knowledge about the society itself and this world’s common sense.

To counter this weakness, Chu Meng Yi had Yu Ying hire a group of assassins as informants. To make sure that this group of assassins does not betray, misinform, lie to, or do things that could impact Chu Meng Yi’s information gathering goal of getting the true information, he had planted a gem inside each person. It will monitor everything that each person went through like a movie from the point of a god.

Their thoughts are their own but if there’s ever a feeling or intention of lying, misinforming, changing the information, or anything that could affect the truth of the information, then the gem inside those people will let out a soul-wrenching pain that will cause them to know why Chu Meng Yi wasn’t a naive idiot and how he was able to be an Author with more than a billion fans but also have a lot of enemies who can’t do a thing to him.

Of course, Chu Meng Yi was kind enough to mention that to the assassins; after all, he wanted a trust-mutual relationship with them and not just because of give-and-take. To which all the assassins had agreed to and written the contacts with blood using their own blood.

While the store was doing its job of providing food to the people of this world, and the assassins were doing their jobs of collecting information from all corners of the world for Chu Meng Yi, the man himself was utterly bored with little to do.

He’s at the bottleneck for a lot of his professional classes - well aside from cooking and writing - which he doesn’t need any opportunity for breaking through to pass it. His breakthrough passed those stages like it was puddling and not a wall.

Anyway, currently, Chu Meng Yi was lazing around the house with Li Youran, doing practically nothing and everything.

He’d created a couple of the higher graded Interspatial Bags called the Cosmos Bags for all the items that he had crafted in the past. So, his house was not as crowded as before. Which, admittedly, was a lot better now that they can actually see the pictures on the walls. Li Youran put up all kinds of paintings that Chu Meng Yi had painted into the wall but it wasn’t visible before due to too many obstacles in front of it.

The mansion was now even larger than before. In the backyard were three large wooden houses made out of Otherworldly trees. Those trees were called the Hearted Space Flames Trees.

The three wooden houses were built using the hearted space flames woods, so the inside was stable and sturdy enough for Li Youran and Chu Meng Yi to bend the Forces and Laws of this world into all kinds of things. This made the inside of those three wooden houses even larger than the space within the main mansion.

So, for now, Chu Meng Yi didn’t need to worry about spaces for his stuff and things for a couple more hundred years.

In addition, due to the extra spaces behind the main house, Chu Meng Yi now didn’t have to worry that all of the spatial spaces inside his house’s basement might break and cause dark creatures from the depths of this world’s hell to invade this realm.

Which was why, right now, Chu Meng Yi was utterly bored with nothing to do aside from laying on the couch with Li Youran. Of course, he can do other things like alchemy and weaponsmiths, but he had promised Li Youran that he would only craft those items within a limitation per day. And he had already fulfilled those limits for the day. So now, he can only do passive things.

    Ah? Writing? Oh, his stories.

He had already written enough stories for this town’s people. 70 Mid-length novels, 20 Long-length novels, and 100 short stories for the people of this town. And yes, he sold them to the people of this town. However, there’s a restriction on it. The people who bought these books must have lived here for more than 3 years and have more than 2500+ Citizen Tickets.

The Citizen Tickets was something that the City Lord had created to make sure that there are no Demonic Cultivators sneaking inside this city. Or if there is one, that particular Demonic Cultivators must not be so bad.

It is something that every Citizen who was born 5 years ago has to have.

It basically is like a Birth Certificate that includes in their bloodline, spiritual spirits roots, the years of their birth, who was the lord of the city at that time, and what classes (both mortal kind and non-mortal kind) they were of when they are 1 years old.

To earn those Citizen Tickets, you have to do Community Works; ideas that Chu Meng Yi give the City Lord.

There are all sorts of work in the community that will help the citizens of this city; farming, gathering, food, resources, services exchange or redeem, etc, etc.

The groups that will help secure and deforest the surrounding area near the town for more space was a kind of Community Works; each week will earn them 4 Citizen Tickets along with whatever their job’s wage is.

The groups of people who hunted for food, seeds of herbs from the wild, and secure a hunting ground will earn more tickets. It is per day rather than per week.

Depending on the jobs that you take and the level of dangers of it, the amount of tickets that you earn will be more or less. Of course, this doesn’t include the wages that you earned for those jobs itself.

For example, Yu Ying’s job of taking care of the store and the kids for Chu Meng Yi earned him 5,000 Citizen Tickets per day. That’s because the stores have that much worth for the citizens of this city and its surrounding. The City Lord actually wanted to give Yu Ying 10,000 tickets per day but Chu Meng Yi devoted that.

After all, Yu Ying really doesn’t care for those tickets at all. And either was Chu Meng Yi or Li Youran.

And the kids who work in Chu Meng Yi’s store earn 100 tickets per week, along with their wages of mortal currency and immortal currency.

Moving on. Why do those books need Citizen Tickets to buy? To make sure that his writing doesn’t go out to the world far too fast. The people of this world will have to get used to his way of writing, his beliefs, his theme, his philosophy, and how modern people from earth think to understand his books.

This world has more western influences but a lot of the beliefs and philosopher ideals follow the Eastern influences- especially chinese’s philosophy. The philosopher from when there’s still the Empire and Kings era.

Something which Chu Meng Yi has little respect for. Oh, he knows and respect the Bushido Code of virtues; Rectitude (義, gi), Courage (勇,yuu), Benevolence (仁,jin), Respect (礼,rei), Honesty (誠,sei), Honor (誉,yo), and Loyalty (忠,chuu) and the five main principles of confucianism; Respect for autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice and the moral values of humanity.

But the thing is; Chu Meng Yi reads far too many C-novels, writes plenty of novels, and sees plenty of Chinese people who will be more than willing to kill their own family members, loved ones and hated ones just for a single yuan.

So, in a world like this where strengths and powers are in the hands of the immortals practitioners and the influences, Chu Meng Yi will have to be careful when he sends out his writings into the outside world.

After all, none of his books are normal by any means.

The lowest grade for his short stories was already a Graded 8 Books in this world. Something which affects both the mind and the soul, this will directly affect the strengths of anyone who reads them over time.

That’s why only people who have already earned enough Citizen Tickets are able to buy those books. Since those are the people who had already been exposed to how things run in Clear Sea City, and so their thinking had already started to change and started to be more flexible in their beliefs.

Hm? Counterfeit from immortal practitioner? None whatsoever. They can’t copy what was written on those tokens because they will need a special ink from Chu Meng Yi’s store to write it with. And he has only sold them to the City’s Lord.

Thus, all of these lead to the current situation.

Due to boredom and with nothing and everything to do, Chu Meng Yi was currently reading about the world’s news- in the form of an investigation.

First was the history and knowledge about this Kingdom’s information. The Imperial Family’s news and information. Then History of wars, conflicts, and clans.

Moving on, the marketing crashes 50 years ago due to the Beasts Tides that happened 60 years ago. 10 years after the Beasts Tides, an economic marketing crash occurred? That late? Why? How? Toward which direction?

Everything. Every piece of information that was compiled into stacks of information in a book. Multiple books.

While reading, Chu Meng Yi came upon the information about the Purity Glared Roots and the wars between 10 Large Sects over it.

Information on how it looks like and what it does...

“Ehh? Isn’t this the Sun Potato?” Chu Meng Yi asked with a perfectly indifference face but his tone was of curiosity.

Li Youran, who was lying on Chu Meng Yi’s lapse took one look at the information and blinked.

    “Ah, the Ancient Sun Continent.”

[Master, the so-called Sun Potato’s real identity was called the Holy Root or better known as the Purity Roots of Heavenly Mind. Society called it Purity Glared Roots in this continent.] Little Bee answered with more information.

In fact, Chu Meng Yi didn’t need to have people gather information for him at all, he could just have Little Bee do it but for some odd reason- Little Bee and Li Youran said that it's better to have the people of this world gathered the information themselves and then compared it to the information that Little Bee has.

[The continent of Chinea has little information on the Purity Roots of Heaven Mind so they can only call it Purity Glared Roots or Emperor Glared Grass.] Little Bee, the little Synrem System, informed Chu Meng Yi with a cute voice.

    Ah- so that’s why.

Speaking of the Ancient Sun Continent, what happened to the Ancient Primordial Dragon’s bones? His old temporary home?

The reason why it was so easy for Chu Meng Yi to learn things in the past 10 years was partly(largely) due to the contribution of the Fire Essence from the Ancient Primordial Dragon’s Bones and the Ancient Sun dangerous land. His soul, body, bones, muscles, and mind were building up strengths and purity due to the land’s natural essences and the roots that he had eaten. It was to the point where his human body cannot keep up with the purity of his mind and soul- causing the fire essence to be a double edged sword toward him.

In a way, due to the Ancient Sun Continent, his foundation was steel solid with no cracks or problems in sight. In fact, it made it so easy for Chu Meng Yi to cultivate without actually comprehensing it that caused him to redo it all over again. So, if there’s a chance, Chu Meng Yi wouldn’t mind taking vacation in the Ancient Sun Continent for a couple of sightseeing experiences now that he could protect himself.

In the period of boredom that Chu Meng Yi had experiences, he had already gone back inside the Spatial Space and read all the books inside The Knowledge Pagoda, all the way to the Tenth Floor.

So, now, if he wanted to, he could start to travel around the world for more indepth experiences. If only Li Youran would let him go by himself, that is.

For the first time in years, Chu Meng Yi curiously pulled out his status again.

    |Host: Chu, Meng Yi | Age: 27 (eternal) | Soul Type: Limitless| Class: Wanderer of Stars|
    |Job: Store Owner, Land Owner, Magical Being Tamer | Profession: Author, Wife of The Infinity Hall Master | Skills: Writing, Cooking, Fishing, Skinning, Gathering, Foraging, Prospecting, Farming, Crystal Inspection and Cutting, Leather-working, Tailoring, Alchemy, Armor Smithing, Jewelry Works, Woodcrafting, Inscriptions, Seals, Talisman Creation, Elementals Affinities, Martial Arts, Immortal Practitioner Skills, Puppet Creation, Support Class Skills(see list)|
    |Tools: Please check Spatial Space and Inventory|
    |Knowledge Pagoda, House Management, Task, Bestiary, Modules|

It hasn’t changed at all, except for the additional Martial Arts, Immortal Practitioner Skills, Puppet Creation, and Support Class Skills, which he got that after teaching the kids how to make their own writing utensils. As for the Martial Arts, that’s when Li Youran had finally decided that his Martial Arts was good enough for this world’s most dangerous situation. Immortal Practitioner Skills was actually the way that Li Youran made Chu Meng Yi cultivates, which was different from this world’s people’s cultivation methods. And for Puppet Creation, that’s self-explanatory with Yu Ying’s creation. His age, however, was still 27 and hasn’t changed. Even thought he feel far more older mentally.

Ever since he had opened the store in Clear Sea Town- or what it is now called Clear Sea City, his job had changed from None to Store Owner and Land Owner.

As for the Magical Being Tamer, that was due to meeting another Moon-Fae by the name of Monnaki. Chu Meng Yi met Monnaki due to an accident involving the Moon-Fae’s thieving action.

Monnaki and his two brothers were stealing the blueberry from his farm. The Spiritual Blueberry.

At first, Chu Meng Yi didn’t know that they were Moon-Fae but when Yu Ying met the three butterfly-like-fairy Moon-Fae, Yu Ying knew right away that these three male fae were from the Moon-Fae race. After all, Yu Ying’s whole body make up was from the blood and bones of Mari, an elder from the Moon-Fae race.

Anyway, he wasn’t the one that had caught the three brothers.

It was the White Long Ear Rabbit Clan that had caughted the three brothers in a trap. Hmm? Who’s the White Ear Rabbit Clan? Those are the rabbits that I and Yu Ying breed in the breeding ground that Li Youran had created for me. Those White Ear Rabbit Clan have now grown in a large number, causing the breeding ground to increase in size.

This was both good and bad- as it has its own pros and cons.

More rabbits mean more workers to watch over some of the herbs that humans can’t touch. This also means that the amount of meat that the Breeding Farms product has increased by a large amount too. Since the White Ear Rabbits are the kind of mammal that mate all year round and give birth once every 3-4 months. And each time a female doe give birth, it is to 7-16 youngs. So imagine the amount of rabbit the breeding ground has already.

However, overpopulating the White Ear Rabbit also caused the other animals in the breeding ground to over-populate too.

Especially the Purple Thunder Wolves, the Red Doe Antler, the Twilight Falcons, and the Nether Eyes Coyotes. All which were bred for their fur, antler, feathers, and their bones.

The Purple Thunder Wolves for their thunder stroke-like colors furs, which was very soft and warm. Chu Meng Yi breeded them because of the fur but to be completely honest, the Purple Thunder Wolves look far too adorable compared to wolves in the wild. So, Chu Meng Yi did it for their cuteness. Aside from that, the meat of the Purple Thunder Wolves is a grade 4 Spiritual ingredient while its blood is a grade 5 ingredient for Dan making. In other words, so that the people of this world can understand, the purple thunder wolves are a Spiritual Qi rank 5 monster by itself.

They were far stronger than the current cultivators within the area’s level. Not even the Sect Masters of the sects in the Far West were strong enough to kill a Purple Thunder Wolves. After all, monsters and beast’s cultivation level were much stronger than humans in this world. So, even if the monster was only a rank 5 of Spiritual Qi cultivation level, their strength, speeds, wisdom, and methods were far stronger than a human cultivator.

The Red Doe Antler are a kind of ALL-Female deer that have three long spiky tails and long, beautiful bright red velvet antlers that extend and curve around their whole heads. Their eyes are bright red to match their beautiful bright red velvet antler but it looks more like a gemstone instead of an eye. The meat of the Red Doe Antler has a lot of alcohol in it due to the plants that they feed on. So, its meat tasted great when barbecued or in stew. The furs of the Red Doe Antlers were especially needed during winter- as it blocked out the coldness even during a blizzard. The antlers of the Red Doe Antler, however, was a different story. It is a Magical Ingredient. Meaning that it could be used for alchemy, weaponsmith, and inscription.

The antlers are the same as the so called Emperor Glared Roots. Only, it would only affect cultivators who have a Fire Body Constitution or Sun Body Constitution. In a way, the antlers of the Red Doe Antler can be counted as a Heavenly Rare ingredient. However, for Chu Meng Yi, he only breeds the Red Doe Antler because the antler can be used as a sharpening stone for his weapons artifacts. And because the antler can be grounded into powder form and mixed with water for drinks-, which taste great. Just to let you guys know, it tasted like sprite and lemon-fanta.

And yes, that’s the main reason why Chu Meng Yi raised those Red Doe Antlers.

The Twilight Falcon was raised for their feathers- which can be used for a lot of things. Decoration was just one of them. The meat of the twilight falcon tasted like chicken but was more tender and had a far more dense taste. The blood of the twilight falcon can be used to make ink for inscription formation too since it is an Air-Elemental bloodline monster’s blood.

The Nether Eyes Coyotes were bred because of pest control and for their bones. The Nether Eye Coyote was actually not the kind of coyote from Earth. This kind of Coyote has three eyes and their forms are semi-physical semi-spiritual, a sometimes gas-like state- a sometimes physical solid state. They are a darkness elemental animal/monsters that hunted in the dark and slept during the day. However, unlike the coyote from Earth, this type of coyote only eats pests and flowers. Nothing else. Why? Because they are extremely small in size compared to other wolves and foxes. Their size was only about the size of half of a squirrel. Yet, they are one of the top predators during night time.

Even the Werewolves and the White Fox Clan don’t want anything to do with the Nether Eyes Coyote. After all, the nether eyes coyote’s speed was pretty much untouchable when compared to the White Fox and the Werewolves.

The Bones of the Nether Eyes Coyote was very useful for making dan and healing agents against darkness elements monsters. So, Chu Meng Yi used it to make sure that no hell-creature got into his farms and gardens.

Anyway, as a result of the White Ear Rabbits overpopulated, all the other animals also increase in a large amount of quantity. Those four races and species were just one of the top effects caused by the White Ear Rabbit’s overpopulation.

The warehouse that Chu Meng Yi had built next to the Breeding Ground was nearly filled with Interspatial Bags, by now. Which means that he would have to build another warehouse again and very soon, too.

Chu Meng Yi resisted the urge to massage his head as he continued to read on the information within the investigation.

So yes, after all those ideals, Chu Meng Yi had tamed the Moon-Fae and his siblings. Now, Monnaki and his two brothers are living with the White Long Ear Rabbit Clan as a messenger between all the animals/beasts in the breeding ground. As payment, they can send some of my fruits that they like back to their homeland with an inscription formation for a quick teleportation transfer.

Ohhh? To the West of here, passed Clear Sea City, was a small island that doesn’t belong to anyone? No one wanted that island? Why? Ah- because of the Sea Dragons and the monsters of the sea in that area.

About 30,000 km away from Clear Sea City, to the east sea, was a small island, about the size of Taiwan- take a couple miles away. Its name was Gold Mist Island.

Hmmm.... Suddenly, there’s this urge called impulse that strikes me in the heart.

“Li Youran, should we go see this Gold Mist Island?” Chu Meng Yi closed the book and suddenly asked the man sleeping on his lap.

The so-called sleeping man wasn’t even sleeping. His eyes were wide open, looking at the other man with a tenderness in it. Chu Meng Yi saw the looks of tenderness within the other man’s eyes but he didn’t react at all. He just blinked at him again.

“Gold Mist Island? You want to develop that island?” Li Youran asked as he nonchalantly blinked his pretty eyes.

“... When did I say that? I was just curious about the gold mist on that island. If I remember correctly, didn’t the Ancient Dragon Bone on that continent have some gold spots on its bone? Especially at night where you can see it more clearly,” Chu Meng Yi replied back to the older man with an expressionless face.

Li Youran smiles knowingly. He knew what would happen already.

“... Okay, fine. I wanna set up a restaurant there that caters to other races. Happy?” Chu Meng Yi expressionlessly replied back. It has been on my mind for a while now actually. This idea.

“Okay, since you are that bored. We can develop a restaurant on that island. In fact, let’s go ask right now whom that island belongs to.” Li Youran replied with a small fond smile on his cold face as he set up from Chu Meng Yi’s laps and pulled up Chu Meng Yi with him by hand.

Looking at the hand holding his, Chu Meng Yi doesn’t know whether he should sigh out loud or hold the hand back. Within a split second, Chu Meng Yi tightened the hold on their hands, causing Li Youran’s eyes to light up with emotion.

Even though Chu Meng Yi’s face was completely expressionless, his aura was actually pretty light-hearted and sparkled with excitement. It has been a while since he last went out of anywhere - about 12 years?

Ever since he came here from the Hall of Infinity, he had only been to two places so far - not counting his own house. So, now that they’re going out somewhere else that’s not Clear Sea City and his own places, his instinct as an author was already twitching with excitement about new information and references for more ideas.

Li Youran looks at the excitement within Chu Meng Yi’s eyes and his cold face softened.

    Yi’er, so adorable.

“Why don’t we take the kids and Yu Ying with us, too?” Chu Meng Yi suddenly said out loud.

Li Youran nodded in understanding. Chu Meng Yi wanted to use this opportunity to train the kids so that they won’t get arrogant with themselves for having Chu Meng Yi as their so-called patron.

The kids aren’t arrogant but they were far too lay-back. They have no experience with the outer world aside from Clear Sea City and the store. So, they all were far too naive and simple-minded. Which was good in a way but for them, this was also not good. After all, it's not like Chu Meng Yi will be able to live in this world forever. And besides, Chu Meng Yi is hiring them, not adopting them.

There’s a limit to what he could do for the kids once they reach their adult ages.

It has been a little over 5 years since the kids started to officially work for Chu Meng Yi.

That means that there’s another 7-9 years left of their contract before the kids will have to survive on their own.

Of course, the lands and farms that they are currently living in will always be for them but, Chu Meng Yi won’t help prevent beasts from invading their spaces anymore once the contract runs out. Only in an emergency situation would he act. The reason why he botter to train them in more than one profession was due to this reason. It's so that they can survive on their own individual when their contracts are up.

He wanted the kids to grow up to be fine adults who won’t be a pain in the ass for anyone who doesn’t deserve it. They will have to be strong enough to live independently and responsibly. To be wise enough to not fall for other people’s schemes but kind enough to know that they can’t live like a King.

Within 6-8 years, with one years left of their contract, Yu Ying will search for the next group of kids to train. For 1 years, the new kids will have to learn their chosen profession arts and then come work for Chu Meng Yi inside the store. They too will have a contract that would last until they are official adults.

Chu Meng Yi wanted to use this opportunity to teach the kids a lesson on survivalism in an unknown place.

Unlike the area near the two forbidden regions that they are currently living on, the Gold Mist Island wouldn’t be a familiar land.

Chu Meng Yi was oddly curious about that island. Why does he have a feeling that he would find something odd there?

Chu Meng Yi lifted up his hand and a purple mixed with gold birds formed on the tip of his hand. The bird’s tail was split into nine equally long tails but at the end of each tail has different elemental pearls on it. The bird tweets and chirped happily before it flew toward Li Youran and rubbed its head against his cheek.

    Chu Meng Yi:....

Oi, wasn’t it these messenger birds the manifest of Chu Meng Yi’s deepest emotions come alive? Why is it so touchy toward Li Youran?

... And Li Youran, stop looking so satisfied with yourself just because my manifested spiritual birds took a liking to you.

And Little Yi, stop kissing Li Youran already! It's embarrassing!

Li Youran’s soft eyes watch as the messenger bird circles around Chu Meng Yi before flying off toward Clear Sea City.

In the blink of an eye, the bird was gone.

Li Youran’s face turned slightly softer as he held Chu Meng Yi into his arms, with Chu Meng Yi’s face buried inside his chest.

Chu Meng Yi didn’t bother stopping the older man. He just sighed out loud in exaggeration from the depth of Li Youran’s chest.

He had already lost count of how many times Li Youran held him like this. In the past 12 years that they had lives together, the amount of times that they had slept together without sex was pretty much every night. The number of times that they had sex together was pretty much once every three to four day. Sometimes, they even had sex continuously for three days straight. So, such things as shame or shyness was never something that Chu Meng Yi took notice of when it comes to closeness between him and Li Youran.

Chu Meng Yi just closed his eyes and let go completely of himself, knowing that Li Youran is the one and only being who will never hurt him even if the world/universe collapses.

Li Youran pressed a soft kiss on the top of Chu Meng Yi’s forehead and hair as he held Chu Meng Yi completely in his arms, princess style, as Chu Meng Yi himself closed his eyes as he lay his head on the older man’s chest.

Before he knew it, Chu Meng Yi was completely asleep.

Li Youran watches his Yi’er sleeping like a creepy stalker. He once again started to count how many eyelashes his Yi’er has today. Once he finished with that self imposed task, he started another one. Counting how much hair is his Yi’er eyebrows made out of.

The author: .... What had I created? #0_0”

15 Hours later, all the kids were presented in front of Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran, with Yu Ying standing behind them calmly.

The store was closed within an hour with alert notices all over the wall. And everyone within the wall of Clear Sea City was shocked that the store will is closed for 2-3 weeks(18-27 days); as that is how long they planned to go for.

Chu Meng Yi swore that he could hear the shouts and cries from Clear Sea City all the way to here. Which was not possible. Was it his imagination?

In total, there were 12 male and 14 female workers that had contracted under him. This doesn’t count Yu Feng, okay? Since Yu Feng is Yu Ying’s assistance now and isn’t one of the workers.

Chu Meng Yi recalled that these kids had already finished their first Profession choice’s goals. Now, if they weren’t under contract, Chu Meng Yi was more than happy to let them out into the real world on their own. After all, they have experience dealing with people within Clear Sea City due to their jobs at the store.

Chu Meng Yi nodded to them as he handed the kids each a small Interspatial bag. These small Interspatial Bags have about 12 meters by 18 meters by 6 meters of space inside. So there’s plenty of room for the kids but it wasn’t that large.

“Put a drop of your blood into the Inscription Seal. It will bond to you through blood so no one but you can use and see it,” Chu Meng Yi told the kids.

Now that he thinks about it, he could have made a Maze or a Dungeon and had the kids train there. However, he didn’t. Why? Because these kids aren’t his own. They are his workers but they aren’t adopted by him. So, no, he won’t let the kids train in the maze. Yu Feng? Maybe, since he is this world’s current main protagonist during this era. Anyone else? No.

The kids did as he asked without as much as a questioning glare.

Once they all bind the small interspatial bag with their blood, Chu Meng Yi gives them permission to give a look at what’s inside.

The expression on their faces as they saw what was inside the bag was so funny that Li Youran’s expression twitches. Yu Feng’s bag was slightly larger and had more things inside so he completely froze in surprise before looking at Yu Ying and Chu Meng Yi with a mouth that refused to close.

“Let’s go,” Chu Meng Yi didn’t hesitate as he pulled out a small golden stone that had a large bird of some kind drawn on it.

Pouring a little bit of spiritual qi into the stone, it shines brightly. The light shining on the stone shows the bird on the stone to be a 12 tails blue bird of some kind.

Chu Meng Yi throws the stone to the ground as it continues to shine brightly before it turns into a large wooden boat. It looked exactly like one of those United Kingdom yachts that cost more than a couple of tens of millions and yet, the one that was in front of them was even larger and was made out of wood and metal instead.

There was enough room for at least a thousand men and yet would still have enough space for a couple of hundred beasts to roll around.

Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran didn’t wait for the kids to come out of their shocks as they stepped into the boat.

Yu Ying was the one that gets all the kids into the boat via a wooden platform with Yu Feng’s control from the rear. Once the kids all got on, Chu Meng Yi threw out five talismans that surrounded their homes in a spiritual sphere of protection.

Not three seconds later, the boat started to float into the air, causing all the kids to hold onto each other as both fear and excitement made their facial expressions change. Yu Feng was the only one among the kids who actually wasn’t twitching in excitement. Oh, he was excited, alright. Just that he has a better poker face than all the kids together have so they can’t tell that he too was very excited.

Once the boat was stable in the air, the kids started to relax as they all looked around. The boat has this golden green shield that’s protecting them from wind, air pressure, and beasts that fly so they have no need to feel worried about incoming danger.

Soon enough, the kids started to chat with each other quietly as they pointed to places that they have never seen before.

Large trees that made the forbidden region's trees look like a child or sapling? There’s plenty of them. Large rivers that have monstrous fish in? Chu Meng Yi can see that there are more than a thousand of them in such and such rivers.

The direction that they are headed to was to the West, more into the inner land of this kingdom. Mountains range, prairies, grasslands, desert, and all sorts of weird-looking lands passed by. The kids were so excited that they started to draw what they each saw as a mini competition of some sort with Yu Feng as the judge.

Ever since Clear Sea Town had turned into Clear Sea City, Clear Sea city has a lot more connection with the clans, sects, and big shots in the empire.

However, due to the rules that The Store has, even the city lord didn’t dare to take bribe money. After all, the first three times that three of the big clans in Clear Sea City had taken bribe money from outside, they had been banned from entering The Store and from buying anything from it for 10 years.

That happened more than three years ago so now, everyone in Clear Sea City knows better than to accept bribes. Oh they could still take bribes just not the kinds that were involved with his Store.

Which was why, even though Clear Sea City had turned into a large metropolitan city, Clear Sea City doesn’t have the information on who owned that island. As a result, Chu Meng Yi will have to go into one of the big cities that have enough information.

Five hours later, they had passed by 246 villages, 78 large towns, 25 large cities, and finally got to their destination.

Since the speed of the boat was even faster than an airplane, the kids could only see flashes of villages, towns, and cities passed by. After all, they are very high up in the sky and all that people can see is a large black thing in the sky. The people on the ground can’t even make out what the hell was that thing in the sky is since it was moving so damn fast.

Of course, cultivators that are strong enough can see the boat. Which caused them a lot of shock and fear. After all, all of the floating mounts that this world knew of, there was none that could fly that high up in the sky, much less that big.

Sure, you can fly once you hit a high enough level but only for a couple hours and at the cost of your own spiritual qi or mana.

Those that had already cultivated high enough to see the flying boats all looked hopeful and yet dreadfully. Their minds can’t comprehend how high of a realm must the owner of the ship be to be able to fly a ship that large and flies that fast.

However, they all took notice of the direction that the boat came from and noticed that it was from all the way to the Far West.

Chu Meng Yi doesn’t know that he had completely overturned the views of more than half the cultivators of this kingdom. He also doesn’t know that he attracts a lot of crazy people toward the Far West. However, even if he knows, Chu Meng Yi wouldn’t care about it. He just continued to do what he wanted to do.

Chu Meng Yi looked over at the latest city that they passed by and lifted his brows in wonder. This city was one of the target cities that Chu Meng Yi wanted to visit.

The city was huge from above.

Divided into four sectors with each sector having their own “castle”, Chu Meng Yi could make out that each castle has different looks and themes to it.

Those castles were very magnificent but why? Why does Chu Meng Yi keep having a feeling that those buildings and castles will collapse if an earthquake happens? Was the foundation of those castles not good enough? Or was it because there’s too many secret passages underground that it caused instability toward the whole castle?

    Which one was it?

Well, that didn’t matter. Regardless of the fault that lies in the foundation or the secret passages that those castles have, Chu Meng Yi still thinks that it's best if he doesn't interfere with this city’s castle business.

Wait a second... What is that? A massive graveyard? What kind of graveyard was this huge? Chu Meng Yi could even make out the shape of three stars and a large tortoise shield shape from where he was.

“... A Mass Grave Ridge...” Chu Meng Yi recognized the graveyard within a couple of seconds. After all, there was such a thing near Clear Sea City, too. But its size was a lot smaller.

Chu Meng Yi pours some qi into his eyes as he looks at the massive graveyard.

The boat slowly came to a stop as it slowly descended to the ground. Due to how high they are up in the sky, it took the boat a whole hour to descend to the ground steadily.

As the boat slowly got closer and closer toward the ground, the people living in that city also started to notice them.

Cultivators and guards of all kinds were already making ways toward them. By the time that the boat touched the ground, more than a hundred guards and various levels of cultivators were already vigilantly watching the boat.

Chu Meng Yi parked the boat safely on the ground as he called the kids to get off.

The people from the ground were so surprised at seeing the people on the boat.

Meng Ning Ling, the smartest male among the kids, acted as the captain of the group and directed them to get off the boat without much trouble. While Yu Feng’s job was to collect all of the things within the boat into the storage bags that Chu Meng Yi ordered Yu Ying to give him. After all, they are here on business.

Meng Ning Ling’s Store’s Name was Bai Ling. White Zero.

Bai Ling was the kind of boy that isn't easy to shame or trick because he has a very high intuition. He wasn’t the most intelligent male in the group but he is the smartest since he used his intuition in the most effective possible way. He has this mischievous side to him that caused his fellow group-mate to sometimes wince in sympathy for themselves. But most of all, they don’t hate him since Bai Ling was very good at what he does.

Bai Yi’s real name was Cui Zhourong. His former name before changing to Cui Zhourong was Cui Shu Qi. He has a twin sister going by Cui Shu Shuzhi, formerly. Now, her real name is Cui Suhua with the store name of Cui Ziwan.

Everyone from the Store has their own Store Name that they use daily. You can say that it might as well be their Courtesy Name in the Cultivation Community. Only Yu Feng doesn’t have a Store Name yet since he is Yu Ying’s assistance and not a worker.

When the kids had all landed on the ground, a couple of them were so excited that they started cheering due to the long amount of time staying on air within the boat. They all missed their earthen lands. This surprised all the native or cultivators and guards who were watching them.

The puzzled faces of the guards and cultivators were oddly funny.

But when Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran stepped out. The shocks that the people on the ground felt were enough to feed a whole continent. Everyone’s breathing is completely still as their eyes and minds completely look at the face of the two men on board.

Chu Meng Yi’s natural charisma and aura was being suppressed by Li Youran. But, Li Youran’s indescribable enchanting looks were still far too ethereal with a sense of charisma, charm, elegance, and coldness that caused everyone’s heart to nearly jump out of their chest.

Chu Meng Yi’s aura was already being shielded due to Li Youran. However, with looks alone, Li Youran and Chu Meng Yi were still both ethereally handsome. So handsome, elegant, cool, and all sorts of positive adjectives that anyone would feel fainted at their natural beauty.

Chu Meng Yi’s physical appearance was godly enough. However, Li Youran’s ethereality looks and presence were enough to cause high-level cultivators to nearly have a heart attack.

Which was why, when Chu Meng Yi noticed that a lot of people were shocked silly at their physical appearance, he just sighed internally and took out two masks for both himself and Li Youran.

The cultivators were the ones that snapped out of their trace the fastest. But, their faces flushed with embarrassment and whatever else that they were feeling.

“Excuse me, may I ask you two gentlemen why you are here?” One of the highest cultivators from the city asked with vigilance as he looked at the two masked gentlemen whose cultivation levels he cannot tell. Aside from being cautious about their looks, he has to be cautious about their cultivation realms too. This was not an easy thing to do.

“We’re here on business,” Yu Ying said for the first time. The people from the city look at Yu Ying, whose look was also a top-rated beauty. Unlike Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran’s beauty, Yu Ying’s handsomeness was a kind of deep calmness and charisma from the Moon-Fae race. They are a natural beauty that reflects the moonlight. So, in a way, Yu Ying was exactly like moonlight in a full moon. Only, in Yu Ying’s case, that full moon is pitch red, not blue.

Whenever Yu Ying is calm, you can see the beauty of a moon within Yu Ying’s elegance but when he’s on a killing spree, the calmness of a red moon is the sign of a worldwide killing.

The guards and that particular cultivator who had spoken out blink their eyes in surprise at Yu Ying.

“Business?” That particular cultivator, whose name we haven’t known yet, replied back with a slightly silly about him.

“Yes, business. May I ask what kind of license my master required to sell merchandise in this city?” Yu Ying asked.

“Ah, you just need to pay the tax fees; the rental fees for whatever store or vendor you wanted to rent, the tax fee for using the vendor or store, the state tax, and citizen tax. All in all, the amount of taxes is 15% together,” That particular cultivator says without hiding anything at all.

“I see. What sort of currency is used in this city?” Yu Ying asked.

“We used normal mortal and immortal currency here. Depending on what kind of goods it was...” The man answered.

“Oh, right. I am called Gui Yuan, one of the elders from the Gui clan. May I ask what I could refer you and your master as?” Finally remembering his manner, the cultivator quickly introduced himself. Not caring at all that the rest of the people that came with him were still staring at the man who he was talking to.

“I am called Yu Ying, a Moon-Puppet. My master is Chu Meng Yi and his husband, Li Youran. Beside me is my assistance, Yu Feng,”

“... Yu Ying... Moon-puppet?” Gui Yuan blinked his eyes in confusion. What kind of puppet is so human-like?! He can’t even tell! And a puppet can talk?! Gui Yuan’s eyes weren't the only one that was twitching.

No one believes Yu Ying. They just nodded and ignored Yu Ying’s introduction. They eyed the master of Yu Ying and his husband and dropped their glazes. Why? Because Li Youran’s eyes were killing them on the spot for looking at his husband, Chu Meng Yi, that’s what.

“If you don’t mind, I can show you and the Young Masters around,” Gui Yuan said with a slight smile on his face.

“There’s no need for now. We already have someone who will be showing us around,” Yu Ying said just as a figure sped towards them.

That figure in black stopped right beside Gui Yuan and dropped down to one knee.

“Young Master, I am sorry to have been late in coming,” A man with his lower face covered said slowly with a calm voice.

“Jin Yong Yi, stand up.” Chu Meng Yi said for the first time since leaving the boat.

“Yes, young master,” Yin Yongyi, the team leader for one of the assassin groups that I had sent ahead of time.

“Let’s go,” Li Youran’s cold voice shivered down everyone’s spine. It was a voice full of power and majesty. Like the roar of a dragon that had just woken up from a catnap and found people to be very particularly annoying.

Chu Meng Yi took out 2 different mount’s talismans and activated them. The first mount was a large bone puppet that looked nothing like bone while the second one was a much smaller one. Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran got on the smaller one while the kids and Yu Ying got on the larger one. Jin Yong Yi climbed up to the head of the smaller mount as he directed the direction toward the city, leaving behind all the cultivators and guards who were jaws-slacking as they watched two mounts appear out of nowhere and left just as fast.

While everyone else was shocked silly, Jin Yong Yi had already directed his employee and the kids toward the city gate.

They all stood in line to check for security, and after paying the entrance taxes for everyone, they went inside.

This city was one of the Grade 9 City, the largest ones before the Imperial City, in this kingdom. So, the entrance taxes were high, security was high, and the City Wall was even higher.

Light Vermillion City has a population of more than 2 billions people and counting, so it is a very huge city. From above it looks like every majesty but once you went inside it, it was even more so. And also very crowded too.

The road was paved with brickstones and it was wide enough for 5 wagons to move at the same time. All of the buildings that they passed by were strong, sturdy, and elegant. It wasn’t overwhelmingly extravagant, so the atmosphere was actually quite calm and steady.

The city gives out a feeling of ‘Old Home’ to all the kids and Chu Meng Yi. It was pretty similar to how Clear Sea City felt after Chu Meng Yi had opened his store for a couple of years and the city had expanded.

Jin Yong Yi led them toward a large stone building that has the name “Clear Sea Hotels and Inn”.

“Young Masters, please this way.” Jin Yong Yi didn’t bother to check in with the front desk but instead led them all up toward the door that was labeled with “15th floor”. Once Jin Ying Yi opened the door, Chu Meng Yi and the kids knew right away that this was a teleportation device. Jin Yong Yi took out a talisman that was pure purple and poured his qi into it, activating the runes on the door, floor, walls, and ceiling. Within a split second, what met their sights was the lobby of a quite large space.

There were a couple of plants in each of the corners of the space as decoration. A front desk with one man in black with a mask over his face. Chairs and sofa in the sitting area. A waitress quietly cleaned around and a set of bookshelves in the corner, near where one of the plants was.

The lobby was lightly decorated but everything was in a good position, this gives the viewer a good, calm, organized and refreshing view.

“This way please, Young Master.” Jin Yong Yi respectfully led Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran toward the main suite while simultaneously leading the rest of the kids into their rooms too. Each room has 3 kids while Yu Ying and Yu Feng share a room.

In the main suite, there was a large bed, nightstand, and everything that was expected of a high class hotel room. There was even a shower room with a bathtub inside along with a sink and a couple white towels.

The first thing that Chu Meng Yi did upon seeing the bed was to smack his face into it.

“Ahhh, finally, a bed.” Chu Meng Yi murmured into the bed as he sighed out loud. Li Youran chuckled softly as he leaned over toward Chu Meng Yi and kissed his head with a tenderness that Chu Meng Yi was used to but never dismissed it as nothing.

Chu Meng Yi moved around a bit so that he would face Li Youran and snuggle into his chest. Li Youran’s chest felt like it was going to melt as he held Chu Meng Yi into his arms all the while kissing his head. Li Youran took out a blanket from his Synrem system while telling Little Bee to check the hotel for any spy.

Chu Meng Yi is already asleep with soft snoring. Li Youran’s eyes turned even softer.

How did he survive living without Yi’er all these times? How come he didn’t remember how?

Kissing Yi’er softly on his forehead, Li Youran pulled him even closer.

Still, he has been in here with Yi’er for a while now and he has to go back to his realm soon. His job isn’t something that he can just casually cast aside, after all. And beside, if Yi’er knew that he cast his jobs aside just to be here with him, well... There's a reason why Li Youran doesn't fear anyone but fears Chu Meng Yi being mad at him.

Sighing out loud, Li Youran hugged Chu Meng Yi closely to himself. Reluctantly, he felt it hard to breathe when thinking of being separated from Yi’er but he knows that if he doesn't, then there might be a problem in his realm and cause countless issues.

Ahhhhhh! He doesn’t want to go!!! Still, even though he was going to be gone for a while, in truth, for this world, it was only for 10 seconds.

... Although, for him, it would be about 100 years of being separated from Yi’er...

Shit. Just thinking about it caused his chest to tighten with repressed emotions.

    Sigh.

Kissing Yi’er all over his face and anywhere that he can reach, Li Youran’s eyes glowed golden purple before he vanished from his spot.

A second later, Chu Meng Yi opened his eyes to find out that Li Youran’s gone.

For a second there, Chu Meng Yi feels like something had just vanished along with Li Youran. Weird... What’s going on?

Ah, forget it. Yawning, Chu Meng Yi went back to sleep, not knowing that his hand was clenched tightly on the blanket that Li Youran had put over him.

In less than a second, he was lightly snoring. However, not even 8 seconds later, his eyes snapped open again.

It was to a purple-eyed Li Youran who was emitting our pure loneliness and all sorts of emotions. Chu Meng Yi didn’t even say anything as Li Youran’s lips were on his. Chu Meng Yi didn’t know what was wrong with this man but he does know that there’s this awful sense of separation between the two of them. This sensation caused Chu Meng Yi to pull the older man closer as he responded to the kisses with equal passion.

Slowly and tenderly, Chu Meng Yi’s clothes were taking off one layer at a time until there was nothing left but his birthday suit.

Chu Meng Yi wasn’t the only one who got his clothes taken off. Chu Meng Yi’s hand was already used to taking off the older man’s clothes too. By now, it was more of a habit than anything else as he too took off Li Youran’s clothes slowly.

Every touch from Li Youran’s finger caused shivers and heats to sipped into Chu Meng Yi’s body and soul. Causing his whole body to shudder with both the heats and anticipation. When Li Youran started to kiss and nipped his way downward, Chu Meng Yi’s breathing started to pick up more and more as he tried to not moan outright.

Chu Meng Yi’s indifferent face was slightly flustered with an alluring flush. His eyes glittered with tears that threatened to come out due to extreme pleasure, causing an enchanted and very attractive entice aura around Chu Meng Yi.

Li Youran’s eyes flashed purple again as his other hand moved in the air with a pattern. Within a second, a large inscription formation was placed around the room and slowly, purple misty smoke started to come out of the room.

Li Youran’s body started to absorb those purple misty smoke. His hair started to get longer and longer and before you knew it, the whole room was filled with dark long and pitch purple hair.

While Li Youran’s hair was getting longer and longer, Chu Meng Yi’s eyes started gleaming purple with a circle of gold around his iris, causing a very primordial look within them.

Li Youran’s eyes widen with a very primal look in them as he surges up and bite Chu Meng Yi’s lips all the while sucking on it.

“Mhmm!” Chu Meng Yi moaned with both pain and pleasure. His hands, fingers, palms went directly toward Li Youran’s clothes and started to tug the clothes of Li Youran’s body and soon enough, Li Youran too was completely naked. Skins to skins, lips to lips, teeths nipping each other with a passion so hot that it causes the room’s temperature to rise.

Chu Meng Yi moaned when Li Youran got to his family jewelry and completely took it into his mouth. Chu Meng Yi’s hands went into Li Youran’s hair as he groaned out with pleasure. Li Youran’s finger traced into that precious place slowly with oily fingers as he slowly prepared Chu Meng Yi.

Chu Meng Yi forgot how many times he came already by the time Li Youran was done with preparing him. When Li Youran was finally inside Chu Meng Yi, all that he could feel was a sense of fulfillment and pleasure.

Each movement from Li Youran was for the best angle, for the most pleasurable spot inside Chu Meng Yi.

The bed was soft enough that there were no cracking sounds or springing sounds at all except for the sounds of their skins meeting each other and the breathing from Li Youran and moans from Chu Meng Yi.

The next morning, Yu Ying took the kids to tour around the city with Yin Yongyi and four other informants without informing or interrupting Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran’s time together. Yu Ying has enough experience and knowledge to notice the change in the air so he knew that they mustn’t interrupt his Master and His Highness. Not unless you want your soul to be obliterated from existing.

When they came back 3 days later, they found Chu Meng Yi napping on Li Youran’s laps as the older man calmly read a book that was emitting out cold mist of aura.

They didn’t dare to bother the pair of lovers as they quietly went to their room to discuss what they discovered around the city. Yu Ying even has Ying Yong Yi made a very detailed map of the city, including stores, clans, temples, landscapes, location that should be noted, important or rich people’s houses, influences houses, and all sorts of abnormal location’s details.

When Chu Meng Yi woke up from his nap, Yu Ying and Yin Yong Yi showed them around the city. Although, mostly, it was to show them places that are very scenic for dating spots.

In the end, that touring show turned into a small picnic for Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran as they set underneath a large Cherry Blossom Tree and had their mini-lunch.

Lunch was a full Japanese meal for Hanami. There’s hanami dango, cherry blossom cookies, cherry blossom milk pudding, sakura mochi, cherry blossom madeleines, cherry blossom onigiri, matcha tea, chirashi sushi, inari sushi, temari sushi, chirashi sushi cake, futomaki, miso soup, shrimps tempura, chicken karaage, datemaki, and agedashi tofu.

To anyone who saw Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran’s eating underneath that tree, all that they could do was go into a daze as they saw the perfect faces of both Li Youran and Chu Meng Yi.

Some people who were sensitive to the details notice the foods not even five minutes later after being dazed by the two Immortal men.

And then, they get dazed by the amazing foods, too, and completely forget what they wanted to know or chat about. Drools start dripping from their mouths as the scents from the food drift toward their direction, causing countless stomachs to gurgle from hunger.

Yin Yongyi, Yu Ying, and the other assassin-turned-informants formed a circle around the two pairs in protection. Not that they need it but rather it's for reputation's sake.

After all, they have a job to do and they will do a damn great job at it.

That’s the least they can do for all the money that they got. And besides, the training they got after agreeing to work for these two Young Masters was more than they could have ever dreamed off.

It was hell training but at least their lives were guaranteed. Although, not even halfway through, they all lost their sense of self-important and their clingings toward life. Why? Do you know how many times they were killed and then get called back to life? Just because that so-called dungeon prevents permanent death doesn’t mean that there aren’t any psychological problems.

They die so many times that their arrogance and self-esteem as a so-called Assassin who had been through fire and water to get to where they are were completely obliterated. All that’s left was the feeling that they were completely brainwashed into Immortal Soldiers of some kind. Although, it was just a slight feeling because of what they all went through. And no, they weren’t brainwashed.

That much, they knew it. However, the fact that the training that they had gone through was worth much more than all their lives together, has made it clear to them that they were all willing to sell their soul, body, and mind to the two Young Masters and it wasn’t a joke.

They were willingly brainwashed into the two Young Master's slaves, if the Young Masters wanted it. But, no, instead of turning them into dead-soldiers for their own needs, Young Master Chu Meng Yi goes on his way to treat and train them fully like human beings.

They have food, shelters, emotional and physical support. Sometimes, even spiritual support in the forms of books and tools that helps their professions. Not only that, they were taught what truly matters in life. They have their own earning income for every little thing that they do. None of their actions and gratitude were taken for granted. They weren’t treated like slaves or like how the majority of the nobles and citizens of this world treated their subordinates and workers.

Young Master Chu Meng Yi treated them and respects them as human beings. Not as a tool and resource. Although Young Master Li Youran was very cold toward them, they all knew that it was only because of jealousy and protectiveness toward young Master Chu Meng Yi. Thus, they all knew to keep their distance properly with professionalism that they all learned through the hell training.

But, never doubt this; all the assassins and informants of Clear Sea City love the two Young Masters to death. They respect them with a clear mind, soul, and body. They aren’t blindingly worshipping the two masters for nothing and they aren’t brainwashed into following them.

Thus, they take their jobs seriously with all their bodies, hearts, and souls.

Not even an ant will be able to come close to their masters as long as they are here.

Light Vermillion City is very big. The population was also still increasing, getting higher and higher due to the way that the citizens lived here. The area that they are currently resting in is one of the 5 viewing areas that the city has developed into a public viewing platform.

There are 5 kinds of cherry blossom trees here. The white kind, purple kind, pink kind, red kind, and the very rare blue kinds that were solely cultivated for this very purpose.

There are cranes, small animals like squirrels, birds and all sorts of cute animals here that are very human friendly due to seeing and interacting with humans for a long period over time.

While Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran were eating, sometimes small animals poke their heads out from above a branch and look at them curiously. Although, all the animals instinctually stayed where they were and didn’t come close to the two men. When that happened, Chu Meng Yi would smile at them and tell them to come down.

A small pack of red with purple striped squirrels came down as they sniffed Chu Meng Yi curiously.

Chu Meng Yi’s indifferent face turned slightly soft as he took out the cooked nuts like almonds, peanuts, roasted and salted peanuts, pecans, pistachios, black walnuts, and English walnuts for the small animals. All the while chewing on the food that Li Youran fed him.

One small squirrel in particular was very intelligent as he eyed Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran’s action.

So, he also feeds cooked peanuts to one of the female squirrels. Causing all the other squirrels to copy his action. Although some of the pairs were male-male and female-female.

The atmosphere was calm and serene with a very closed bubble for the two men. No one was able to come close and all the guards surrounding them prevented even the thoughts of getting a closer look at the two ‘Handsome’ men.

Chu Meng Yi plays with the small animals by flicking nuts in whichever direction as the animal races toward it while Li Youran watches him with a tenderness look in his eyes.

Afterward, they went back to the Inn and spent some time going over the documents and information that was gathered.

Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran shut themselves up in their room going over all the information that the informants had gathered.

They found out who was the current King, the royal family's status, the nobles clans in this city, what influences is what and where, how such things were such a thing, such and such, all the way to where and when and why each clans goes against each other. What political views are what directions and all sorts of drama situations are known.

For example, the Liu Clan’s 18th Generation’s Head’s 9th daughter was the most beautiful woman in this city. She’s engaged to the 4th Prince under the current Emperor’s reign. However, the 4th Prince is in love with the Shan’s Clan 19th Generation’s Head’s son and had been courting him for more than 7 years already. As a result, the Liu and the Shan’s Clan are now bitter-enemies-slash-friends with the same problem.

The problem with this love triangle was that it is a repeating recurring problem. It happens with the first generation, fifth generation, ninth generation, thirteenth generation, and now this generation. Everyone in this city knows about it. There's a story, poem, and even plays about them. What changed was the fact that for some generations, it is an all-male-male-male or sometimes a male-female-male, and sometimes, a female-male-female situation. During the thirteenth generation, it was an all female-female-female situation.

Thus, you can say that the two families had pretty much come into an understanding by now.

Since both the Liu and the Shan family also have royalty bloodline in their family, they all knew that this problem will continue to reappear again and again in the future. So, their relationship was the respect-enemy-friends-lover kind.

Another example is the blood feud between the Yang Clan and the Huo Clan. A blood feud that lasted for 46 generations and ended during the 49 generation due to the marriage between the previous and current heads. By the way, they are both male and female-only couples. The Huo Clan’s previous and current heads' respective partners were both females while the Yang Clan previous and current was both male and male.

And the cause of that blood feud was one thing. Food.

The thing about both clans was the fact that they both are a Fire-Elemental Clan. Their magic is very destructive. Thus the food that they eat tends to burn off too quickly and that is very dangerous.

And so, during the generation that started the blood feud, there was an Immortal Chef that specializes in cooking neutralizing food. Foods that can boost and yet don’t harm the cultivator’s body.

Those two families fought over the last dish of that chef but didn’t win it because of an accident so since then they held onto that grudge ever since.

By the way, the one that got to eat that dish was a dog. A stray dog... who was now the spiritual guardian of the city lord of this city.

    Nope. I didn’t laugh. I didn’t!

Anyway, more and more information about such and such areas were read about. Chu Meng Yi found a couple of information that triggered his author's instincts.

Things like cliche settling that could be found in any C-novels; switching birth children, twins switching partners or names, twins killing each other, greed of the elders, things like that were plenty.

“Well, at least now, I have more resources and references to fall back to when writing new novels.” Chu Meng Yi murmured to himself as he continued to read while lying on Li Youran’s lap in their room.

10 days later, Chu Meng Yi finally went over all the important documents and information that he deemed worthy to know about.

He called the boys and Yu Ying into the room and gave them a task. For the past 10 days, Yu Ying and the kids had been touring and playing around the city responsibly. They bought things that they had never seen before, learned of things that they had never known about, and a couple of them had even started to acknowledge that they might be more than just close friends.

For example, 4 people had formed two pairs as they got into an engagement agreement with each other with Yu Ying and Yu Feng as their witnesses.

“First, the ladies’s task, you ladies are going to go around the bookstores around the city and see if you will be able to find any information about the island.” Chu Meng Yi said nonchalantly to the girls. They all bow as they withdraw from the room to go do their task.

“Second, the man’s job is to go around the city’s weapons stores, restaurants, alchemy’s stores, and gather more information on the current economic situation. Go to the brothel if you have to, but protect yourselves,” Chu Meng Yi gave out their tasks.

The boy all bows their heads as they too left the room, leaving only Yu Feng and Yu Ying behind.

“Yu Feng, your job is to talk with Ying Yong Yi and his teams to get more information about auctioning in this city. Find out how much immortal resources, artifacts, weapons, and things like that cost. Make a detail list and compared it to the things from the Store. In 10 days, I want you to put a list of things that you expected to be able to sell to the people of this city.” Yu Feng bow as he too left the room, leaving only Yu Ying behind.

“Yu Ying, you are to watch over everyone and make sure that they didn’t get into trouble.”

“Yes, master.” Yu Ying reply before disappearing from his spot, leaving behind only Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran.

Chu Meng Yi lean backward into Li Youran’s chest as he turned on the Blueprint Creator using Little Bee and started to design his soon-to-be- Restaurant with input from Li Youran.

In the end, the restaurant was going to be a mix between a hotel and a restaurant together. An Inn with a restaurant, that is.

Designs like how the Gleneagles Hotel was like but with a touch of Chinese cultural on it. Since Chu Meng Yi doesn’t know what the island was really like yet, he had planned on creating a large block of a building that made up his restaurant and hotel all in one. The building itself was going to be either Chinese influences with a touch of Scotland’s Gleneagles Hotel or the opposite.

Regardless of what kind of place that island was going to be, Chu Meng Yi wanted to build a 9-Shapes Talisman Array made purely out of buildings, trees, landscapes, and the environment itself.

Imagine Gleneagles Hotel-like building being built into a nonagon shape of building with a large number of free lands in the middle. Surrounding by lands, mountains, rivers, and spiritual qi.

Chu Meng Yi had already can see what his restaurant was going to be. Each building was going to be 49 floors high.

As for the hotel part from the restaurant part? The first 5 floors of all nine buildings were going to be restaurant only.

The rest of the floor was for a variety of different bedrooms, suites, and family rooms. The higher the floor, the more spacey and luxurious each room, suite, and family rooms will be.

Not only that, there’s also the basement floors that Chu Meng Yi wanted to included in the package. Things like Spa & Wellness, Massages, Training Room, Gyms, Pools, Beauty Lodge, Private Meeting Rooms, Stores, and things that only 10 stars hotels would have were all included.

Of course, to enjoy the Basement Floors Packages, the customers needs both Individual Powers and Money.

    A lot of money.

This is because the Basement Floors would have Spirits Gathering Arrays that work 10 times better than the Spirits Gathering Arrays that the On-Ground Restaurant and Hotels have. Thus, the price that the customers must pay is a hundred times higher. Of course, with just the Spirit Gathering Arrays, it wouldn’t be enough to grab customers’s attention and greed that easily. Thus, Chu Meng Yi even included in arrays and formation inscription that would help and protect people from outside and inside forces during cultivation.

Outside and inside forces such as the Tribulation Thunders and Inner-Heart Demon.

Of course, this only applies to people who cultivates into Immortal Practitioner. But that doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t have a very great effect on the magic cultivators of this world.

Its effects are pretty much the same.

Li Youran look at the plans, blueprints, and things that Chu Meng Yi wanted to create on the island and Li Youran had to smile to himself.

That blueprint looks oddly familiar to the one that his Yi’er had created long ago. Although the building itself was different, everything else was pretty much the same. Instead of European Style from Yi’er previous world, Earth, the one that his Yi’er had created long ago was made out of 49 story siheyuan houses in full traditional Courtyard-House sense with a deep underground secret training area.

Back then, his Yi’er haven’t left him for the Higher Realm yet, and thus, the underground wasn’t as good as the one that his Yi’er was creating right now.

The one that his Yi’er had created right now in the basement floor included in four Mystic Realm Space that Yi’er had called Mazes and 7 Towering Dungeons in the form of a pagoda building.

His Yi’er is really going all out in this plan of his.

    Was Yi’er that bored?

Looking at the focus beloved in his arm, Li Youran’s eyes twinkle. Yes, his Yi’er was bored.

Although, Li Youran wondered how Yi’er was going to take care of everything afterward...

Was Yi’er going to create puppets to take care of the restaurant and hotel?

Probably since his Yi’er Puppeteering Skills was getting very high. And so were his Artifact Making skills. Even Yu Ying was created with a will of his own. And that was only because his Yi’er didn’t see his creation, Yu Ying, as a mere puppet.

Actually, his Yi’er had created Artifacts that has their own soul before. What had happened to that artifact, Li Youran didn’t recall and didn’t want to know. He only knows that ‘that’ person will be able to survive in any world that he could be at with no problem. So, he wasn’t going to worry about such a ‘person’ at all. He just hopes that Yi’er won’t remember about that guy any time soon.

Although the idea of being the sore “Father” and “Mother” of that person causes Li Youran to have a slight shiver, he didn’t want his Yi’er’s attention to be divided away from himself any time soon. If at all.

So, if Yi’er was going to create more puppets to take care of his restaurant and hotel, then Li Youran was going to make it so that they all are independently personality and behavior-wise. And if possible, Li Youran was going to use remnant's souls to create them after installing purification runes and inscription into their souls. That way, over time, the puppets would gain their own soul without much problem.

And so that their fate and karma won’t affect this world’s balance. Over time, they would be able to fall in love just like any normal human but they won’t be able to give children of their own.

After all, remnants' souls were still remnants' souls even if they gain their own complete individuality souls over time. If they wanted to be able to have children of their own then they would have to enter samsara first and be reborn again as a real full soul.

5 days later, Yu Feng came back with a small booklet full of information.

Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran went over the list and chose 10 artifacts from the list that they feel like wasn’t going to waste their time.

Even though for them, these artifacts were too low of a grade, Chu Meng Yi still put them up to auction because of how useful they are.

These artifacts aren’t for combats. They’re for support.

Artifacts that are used to locate specific ores, minerals, monsters, or beasts. Artifacts that could spawn a certain type of spiritual liquid within a certain amount of time. Artifacts that can preserve food, liquid, resources, and materials. Those type of supporting artifacts.

Li Youran’s Yi’er sure doesn’t do things halfway through.

“.. What is it? Why are you looking at me like that?” Chu Meng Yi asked once he notices the odd looks from Li Youran.

Li Youran didn’t answer. He just smiles softly as he moved his forehead closer toward Chu Meng Yi’s forehead until their foreheads were connected. Their noses were touching and even their eyelashes were battering each other as Chu Meng Yi blinks.

Chu Meng Yi can’t help but think that this man’s love for him was far too strong. Even though Chu Meng Yi’s heart didn’t beat with nervousness, he could still feel touches with gratitude and... something that Chu Meng Yi does not know how to describe. It was, not love, that much Chu Meng Yi knows. But, its also not friendship either.

It feels slightly familiar like Chu Meng Yi had felt this way before but it also feels oddly unfamiliar, too.

Chu Meng Yi knew that his emotions were coming back to him. However, Chu Meng Yi doesn’t know how long it would take.

“Yi’er, don’t think too much.” And just feel me, was left unsaid but Chu Meng Yi could hear it just fine. Chu Meng Yi closes his eyes as he relaxes all the while letting his mind connect to Li Youran.

However, before he could get a connection from Li Youran’s mind, he feels his lips being nipped on and his eyes flash open in surprise.

Li Youran’s eyes were already dark purple as their eyes meet. The desire within Li Youran’s eyes was not lost. Before Chu Meng Yi could say anything, his lips were being caught by a hungry Li Youran and then he could only try his best to not drown in pleasure.

    The rest was history.
