Cough -> https://www.novelupdates.com/series/beauty-and-the-bodyguard/ (7000+ chapters and still increasing)
    1) Some CN readers claim that Author "Fishman 2nd Generation" stopped writing as early as Chapter 3000+.
    2) Other CN readers claim that Author stopped in June 2016 when he started writing his 5th book (Beauty and the Bodyguard was the 4th book).
    3) But most readers agree it started when the entire chapter is spammed with Beijing-Slang aka Beijing-Ghetto-Speak, saturated with dialogue and monologues filled with expletives, enough to reach the bare minimum daily chapter word limit.

It always sucks to not be able to see the ending of a series. That said, there are some good unfinished ones that were due to authors death that are worth reading, even if you know it'll never be finished.

Ya it was. But that was because the author had prepared and the story was planned to end in just one more book. Not sure about Rain though

Yes, I'd still read there works. If I was invested in a story and an author passes, I'd still read.

I never liked Rain but it is just sad to see a whole world die in a moment.

Eh, I think I've become jaded by translators dropping a novel on random chapters. I dont do mtl, so I'm used to sudden endings.

I recommend watching or Reading the Memorandum of Okitegami Kyoko

    Japanese use interns too.
How do you think manga or anime is made?
    Cheap intern labor.

Getting someone else to come up with the source material and not crediting them is the like the lowest-of-all-lows in terms, especially when it's a text novel. It might work for Asian societies but definitely not American and Western European countries.

Taking advantage of people that way is called apprenticeship in Asia and third world countries in Africa.
That is why paid internship is very important. In apprenticeships, the students actually pay for doing work instead of getting paid.
Imagine if Margaret paid Walter to sell her paintings

I think Zheya was asking if the manga has caught up to the end of volume 15 of the LN (the last volume published), not how far the translation is in comparison to the manga. I can't answer that since I'm not caught up with either.

But if you want to estimate via math, the end of volume 4 of the LN is roughly equivalent to the end of volume 7 of the manga. There are 15 total volumes of the LN and 17 or 18 volumes of the manga.
