I googled up the title and found someone (youtubers) translated the same title of some animation to "The scum villain's self saving system. " I don't know if it's the same story though.

You can base the title on the story instead of translating the original one as well. If that's not what you want, can you make sure the cn title isn't referencing anything?

What should I do?! I felt OP's title translation was on point. Then as I read each following post, I liked their suggestion as well. Especially the How to basic and the idiot's guide xDD. They sound very westernized as titles, kinda funny. I still think keeping 'novel transmigration' or 'transmigrating into a novel' somewhere in the title is important, since it's a clue as to what to expect from the novel. A mini synopsis if you will. So I vote for Survivor's Guide to Novel Transmigration.
