It would take a serious amount of enticement and threats that I don't believe are worth it for QI to get Wuxiaworld to abandon three of their flagship novels (CD WMW DE) just so people have to pay to read them on QI
And WW making them pay-to-read as well, even if they would be cheaper to read there than on QI would still be unrealistic, since, why would anyone continue bothering with WW. shooting themselves in the foot is what it would be

Mmm... QI makes their novel not for free you can always reject paywall and QI just stop reading their novels why to complain or blame them? They legally can do that everything is just a bussiness they publish and expect to get money back they are free to do that and we can choose not to read it, as for me a fan translations have always been in grey zone we all know it’s not legal. I’m a cheapskate with a limit budget so I keep myself in gray zone and just read random free novels and just be thankful while it’s still available. I still remember when Japanese anime and manga were so hard to get on the internet but luckily a fan base raised so fast and now we have free access to them and it’s known worldwide, anime and manga was the reason why I chose my university major and why I’m so hyped over anime and spending my money on all those anime festivals events, buying merchandises, I believe that Japan got so much of their current positive image all for free they even don’t have to run any campaign for that due to us hyped fans. I’m still hyped about Japan and want to visit Japan before I die. Uhm... my point is if we got free access to something we got hyped over it and we will willingly pay for merchandise of our favorite novel characters of course I know not all fan will pay but then again if QI wants to earn money just by running their publish business by targeting small circle of people it’s their choice we are not the one who can say you can’t do that! Like I said before I don’t want to pay so I stopped reading their novels for while and happy with my free danmei If I were QI I would let people have free access to all novels then I open another icon for E-shop where dan can buy their novels as a paperback with a worldwide shipping of course, also selling stuffs like key chains, figures etc. all merchandise to offer fans, some events like auction for books with author’s signature... milk money from the fans till nothing left haha.

 

Personally I love how the thread is about what they did and didn't do. Posts a bunch of things they've done, nothing to defend what they supposedly haven't done.

QI sucks end of, but I'll thank them for one thing, by locking everything behind ridiculously priced pay walls.(that were totally not going to exist) I've rediscovered my love for books.

 

Whenever a novel turned premium on qidian, I'll just drop it without batting an eye. Let's face it. Most chinese novels are only good for the first 50 chapters. After that it'll become a repetition of face slapping, fortuitous encounter and collecting girls into the harem. Luckily I managed to finish reading Hidden Marriage on Qidian.

 

Lucky for you. Qi wns apparently worth in gold even with mtl level translation. Just not worth it.

I hate that there are people who actually pay Qidian and encourage their predatory business practices. Stop supporting bad businesses and maybe they will think twice about screwing everybody over.

 

I don't even know where the lawsuit rumor start. On NUF, i only got some post from Guan Zong that quits ww because ren never fight a lawsuit and something ren say about tactical bullshit that i don't buy at all

You know, I finally found out the reason why in the last few months I felt empty everytime I visit NUF;
my monthly dose of QI-related thread are severely lacking.
