I think I read pretty quickly, but nobody I know reads as much as me so its hard to tell if im fast or not?

If given about 10 hours of continuous reading and each chapter is about the average of 2000 words, how many chapters could you read?
In case of filler and skimming, try to think about CN novels, since they have a lot of chapters.

Oh yea, btw i read at around 6min per on average, tho 3min on shorter chapters

I generally don’t skim unless it’s a seriously boring arc regardless of the novel. But overall.. I’d say about 3 minutes for a short chapter and 5-7 for a long one

100 to 150 if there is a bunch of filler probably more because I tend to skip some paragraphs.

If given 10 hours? Probably 15-20 volumes of Legendary Moonlight Sculptor.

reading is something to enjoy, so I'll read in a relaxing speed (as if I'm reading the story for someone else in my mind). As you imagine, its quite slow, maybe 120words/minute (Gross estimation).

My job involves a lot of reading, that's enough speed reading and skimming through a lot of things daily. I'm not going to do the same thing with my hobby.

Btw my reading speed is usually around 200~300 wpm but it can go higher if I read for a while.
Also @Jiggy That Jiggly puff looks like they are about to rest someone.

I think I can read 120,000 words in 5 hours. I get slower as time passes.

Granted, at that rate, I'm prone to missing details, but I think it's worth not knowing that the author misspelled a word right there.

    WPM --> words per minute.
I have no idea what WMW means though.

Did you mean warlock of the magus world? if you did then no I meant that that is my reading speed in general not reading something specific.

The last time I measured my reading speed it was around 600 WPM. Nowadays I mostly read in Chinese, and the speed is only around 300 WPM. That speed is for reading on paper or eReader. On a computer/cellphone screen, it'd slow down; probably to about 500 WPM. A more useful figure is that I read about 1 million words in Chinese a week.

@Jiggy You're better off reading the LMS wiki entries than reading 15-20 volumes of LMS within 10hrs.

@Saitama.sensei, @Bwayne If you're reading CN Xuanhuan novels, taking 10 sec to finish 1 chapter in Raw CN (read 1st and last sentence of chapter) might be a norm.

hmmm, I've never actually paid much attention to my reading time and how many words per minute and such. Not many people around me read even half as much as me, so can't really compare to them.
But I think generally it's like some already mentioned: 2-3 minutes for short and around 5 minutes for longer chapters.

If we talk about full novels/books then it takes me around 3-5 hours for 100'000 words. Depends on the difficulty of the text and how much the plot requires my attention.
If it's easy: 3-4 hours, if it needs concentration and paying more attention: 5-6 hours.
