My first novel was The King's Avatar/Quanzhi Gaoshou. I actually started reading the manga adaptation first, but the site went down in the middle of a chapter. I wanted to keep reading, so I googled it to find another manga index it was hosted on, and found out it was originally a novel. I started reading through the novel, and found it far more enjoyable than the manga. At the time, the novel was hosted on Gravity and it hadn't yet come under Qidian, so after I finished binging QG, I was like... hmm... there are more novels on this site... I wonder if any of them are any good...

Then from there I somehow found my way to NU, and after that I was down the rabbit hole forever.

My first webnovel/lightnovel is Overlord while the actual first piece of literature is lost in time.

The very first one for me was one of the school's require reading classic novels. Well, some select parts of them that the put in the school books,anyway...
This include Rammakien (Thailand's adaptation of India's Ramayana) , Khun Chang - Khun Phaen, Phra Apai Manee and others. I do have a full volume of some of them and have read some of them, but I don't think I ever finished any of them.
The first novel I actually properly read is Harry Potter series, which I start when there was about 3 volume out, and eventually read all 7 of them as they got released over the years.
The first LN I read is probably Shakugan no Shana or maybe the Suzumiya Haruhi series, followed closely by Zero no Tsukaima.

Not too sure but I think it was Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken. Rimuru-sama made me a fan of isekai stories at that time until I discovered NU. Looking for novels here is easier so I explored and got hook to mix and wider novel genres. :blob_coffee:

    Ghost Hunt.
That was my very first novel.
I just wish they'd pick up the anime and continue with the last 2 arcs. Would love to see it animated.

And even better would be if Fuyumi Ono would write some more for Ghost Hunt since it is kind of finished, but not quite.
Sigh, now I wanna re-read it again :D

Hell if I remember the first novel I read as it was sometime in 5th grade which is now multiple decades in the past.

First web novel I read was 1/2 Prince which is still one of my favorite stories.

I seriously want that to happen. And it does not seem much out of realm of possibility considering boogiepop got an adaptation this season...

Considering so many series are getting revived currently like toaru for example and if this becomes a trend, ghost hunt is gonna be on every studio's list in a while. There are so many other series that could use an adaptation//revive too tho...

If we're talking about translated stories and not manga or anime then that would be the legendary moonlight sculptor. But honestly the most impactful was my second read which was Stellar Transformations over on spcnet. I really appreciate he-man for what he did.

Plot twist, I think I read a translated Russian book a long time ago. Sht, now I have to start guessing what it was called because I remember I loved it and was regretting why only the first book of the series was translated. I think it was unpopular and that's why they couldn't justify doing the rest, too expensive and all that. The mc was a college student who became a greater demon, hope someone is able to help if they remember it.
