Discussion Legendary Moonlight Sculptor

So I remember this novel being one of the very first novels I ever read when i was first getting into the translated novel scene way back in idk 2014? I believe I caught up with the translations and stopped reading it there, and I just realized is this thing still going? Like jesus christ how long is this novel? I thought it ended years ago.

P.S - I don't remember much of the novel tbh, so I was gonna go read it when I just realized it was still going on.

 

At first it was really good then it turned trash. my advice is to not pass volume twenty, it's like the author ran out of ideas and waned to get it over with.

 

then he defintiely failed bcause the latest translated part was volume 54? 52?

 

He didn't fail! He's just still deciding on where to end it.

 

? According to NU the latest chapter translated was in Volume 52, but apparently there are 54 volumes and still ongoing.

 

How tho? Did they go on to a different game or something?

 

Novels about VRMMO's usually get boring after about a couple hundred chapters or volumes like in LMS's case. My own opinion so

 

Nah I agree cause the main problem is by round chapter 200 most of the time they already at end game, but the author keeps adding random crap that make no sense to drag out the story.

 

My only issue with VRMMO novels is the whole "secret ranker concept". It makes no sense to me. I get that the author is just trying to prepare a better enemy for when MC KO's top ranked, but in any game if you didn't want to be on the leaderboards you would just be posted as anonymous. So it kind of annoys me when after the MC beats the top ranked we are then introduced to the 100's of people who can also beat them like there flies.

 

Strongest sword God is an example.

 

I think it's the translations that making the novel seem longer plus the fact that the author hadn't finished writing it so we need to wait for him to pump out chapters then wait even longer for translations.....seems like author keeps adding more fillers around the end game too

Are you talking about LMS or just quoting another series ? Because if it happens in this series i would get another reason to not like it. My first reason for not reading the novel form is because the romance seems crappy. There was some kind of misunderstanding between one the girl and MC = they didn't confess to each other thinking the other forgot about him/her. I would prefer a bad harem romance then having a love interest being discarded/forgotten.

Also wasn't there some kind of bet in the beginning of the manhua ? Like MC needs to find X millions/billions of money before x date and the "yakuza/bandit" will consider MC as his older brother or some shit.
Did he win the bet by selling stuffs he found or crafted in the game ?

That never happens in LMS because the author set the game up properly in the first place. At the start players were weaklings. Now the top tier players are stronger than most NPCs at level 500-600. However, there are still top tier bosses that are level 800+ like dragons. Basically the author set it up so that there are things to do up to level 800 or so and thus doesn't need to randomly add stuff yet.

 

Just VRMMO novels in general.

Sounds like Overgeared but exaggerated. I don't think there's an official ranking system in LMS.

Well, they heard he had money and tried to extrort him but got messed up. It was written as humor. Basically they're not something Weed would want or need.

 

Author too dragged some arcs in my opinion. The beginning was really interesting though. Now this is a bit boring, i end up by put it on hold in the reading list.

 

Explain in more details plz ! Or should i guess that by "got messed up" that means they were exterminated ?

 

Is it translated yet? I think turtle sensei is dropping it. Never mind, im forget what volume is my last read, it's not bad. But, the plot where he could be a more powerful and finish the challenge is kinda avoided...
