To be fair, "Let's go" looked better in my opinion than Shield/Sword Less people are starting with the Grass starter each new generation Only worry in your case is if it is only for the Switch or if 3Ds gets it as well
The graphics are also not set in stone yet. It wasn't the final copy but when you actually see it in game i am sure it will look much better.
I wouldn't say the graphics are a big leap, that's a stretch, I'll buy it regardless though. I just really love snow areas of games, considering it's still Pokemon, I'll still buy it.
Thought the grass starter was a cat pokemon, now that I know it's a monkey, I think I'll go for the fire starter.
Im not sure if I'll play it yet. If it has things like z moves and mega evolutions I wont. Otherwise, ill pick the water chameol one. The plant chimpanzee looks...special. Also, one of the worst creations of all time is the stupid nose bandaid look. So that rules out the fire rabbit. Picking water has less to do with "this one looks awesome" and more to do with "this one doesn't look like a joke". Quite frankly I dont think I'll play this season. I whole lota "meh" on that trailer.
Recently, starters for me have been, pick the one that looks least bad and then shove it in a box where it never sees the light of day again.
I'm pretty sure they mentioned there were going to be more mega evolutions which I personally enjoy. I agree with you on how bland Z-moves were though, and I think they did do away with them. Also, cute little water pokemon for me all the way
My only problem with mega evolutions is how much it limits your choices. Step 1, toss out any items except the one you have to hold onto to mega evolution. Step 2, you have 4 skills. dont bother picking a move, you will spend your turn mega evolving. Step 3, go to actual gameplay now. I know some people like it, but I liked the lore better prior to mega evolve. Pokemon got strong then evolved instead of temporary power ups. Still, it is pretty popular and way better than z moves
Which starter? Usually I go water, and like this water one . . . but something about a grass-type monkey seems cool as well. Kind of excited its on the Switch (since I own one due to Breath of the Wild), but at the same time, just hoping they do enough to justify it being on the Switch. Side question: Did they announce if it will be a new region? Really hoping for one that ties in multiple, if not all, regions. Think that would be really cool, if not super long X_X.
Fire is a rabbit, Water is a tadpole with legs and Grass is a monkey? hopefully its not another Fire/Fighting...being a rabbit possibly be a Fire/Ground or Fire/Normal or just plain Fire.
I want a pure fire tbh. Water one looks possible to be water psychic/poison. Grass one should be grass normal or grass fighting
I Usually never pick the water type, so I think i'm gonna go with Sobble, considering the fact that the fire type could just be another Fire-Fighting mess
