Also this part of his personality reinforce the image of the mary-stue/perfect MC. Transcending the Nine Heavens I think you will really like it, because the MC is crazily smart in his rebirth (mostly because he learned the ropes from his best friend in first life). There are ton of cunning/smart moments, with MC creating plans right and left (exemple: Spoiler MC was mistaken by a really op enemy for a weak subordinates of himself when he is looking for MC because MC always wore a mask in this arc, MC understands he was not recognized and act like a weakling and lure him into another enemy faction (a small group of cultivators) that also wants to kill MC, op villain and one of the leaders of the other faction will fight, mistaking the other for MC, both will be heavily wounded ). with him even being strong in psychology and also possibly romance.
Somebody already mentioned Warlock of the Magus World but there is also Carefree Path of Dreams by the same author, you will need to read the mtl for that but it is quite good. MC similar to Leylin.

They are like CN Gintama, only with fantasy settings and continuous story (almost no filler chapters). Even filler chapters will have something that can affect the story progress somewhat. Give it maybe around 10 chapters for the story to start moving.
