Sorry but this thread is the definition of stupidity.
I used to think a dislike button was needed too but I grew up.
You can simply ignore the person.
If it is dangerous then report.
The world sucks enough that you don't need to hit some poor soul when they are already down.

    Thanks for reading my rant.
I didn't read any posts on this thread

I'm not trying to make friends, that's not why I'm here,
Now see, that is actually a proper argument, it can be made better by adding examples of why reddit is bad and how it is out of control, if you actually think that I've never been to reddit, which I actually haven't

Then you should've said so instead of the earlier comments so I could've explained, reason reddit is so bad is cause it's full of toxic people who dislike anything they don't like even if the person is correct in what they posted hence why a dislike button is pretty bad since you're relying on people to not abuse it.

Honestly, Imgur is like this as well and their community can get pretty toxic. A lot of places that have dislike buttons tend to end up like this. Dislike buttons do not aid in an argument because they are not based on facts, they are based on opinion, and with how stubborn people are (especially on the internet) you can't always reason with them. They will deny facts, scientific evidence, and even historical evidence if it goes against their feelings or their opinion. Rather than introducing new/contradictory thoughts into a forum, dislike buttons would only deter it due to the stubbornness of people and the reinforcement other dislikes would bring. Rather than taking new information into thought and consideration, it becomes a literal circle-jerk (a term that was practically born and coined by such toxic places).

See, someone above said that forums are place to debate and discuss, I'm just going along with that guy and trying to discourage people from posting a non-argument, because that is the one thing that I believe have no place in debate and discussion,

And I still don't get why it's bad,
You said it's because it's full of toxic people, well, toxic people are still toxic people even if they're not able to channel their toxicity out. Why, it could very well be that this forum is also full of toxic people. Or maybe the cause is not because of the people that are toxic but because that people are toxic?
And disliking even when the person is correct, I also don't see a problem with this. If it is factually correct, then those who will appreciate it will appreciate it nonetheless, and if it is subjectively correct, then those dislikes may show you that perhaps you're not that correct after all

*sigh* this thing comes up again and again and every time it is clearly pointed out by more than one person that a dislike button isn't going to happen in Nuf.
There's one quick solution though. Just type *dislike* or :blobban::D

Clicking dislike would be just as rude as telling people their post is "retarded". So if you really want to tell people they're sentence is horrible then just do it.

I can just see the thousands of people who will dislike any thread that involves someone looking for BL/Yuri recommendations only because they dont like that genre.

My only regret is that such people will never know of the series filter and all its convenience.

Exactly. Humans can be shit sometimes, that's all the more reason why they don't need to be given more tools to express their shitty-ness.

Yeah someone said spread love not hatred. Even if you don't like anything you can say it jokingly and not hurt anyone's sentiment. Irl we hurt others and others hurt us everyday. It's not necessary to pollute Nuf that way.

I'll give you an example, I'll dislike your comment because it's too long and I don't want to read it.
You mean release filter? Series filtering doesn't work if I recall so I assume you mean release filter though I could be wrong.
