Name: Vermillion Raw Link: https://ncode.syosetu.com/n0088bq NU Link: novelupdates.com/series/vermillion Why It Should Get Picked Up: This novel is about two people getting isekai'd into a VRMMO (like overlord, tho neither the game or the story are anything like it), them being Kei, an expert archer, and Aileen, a top class ninja. The novel itself is quite fun to read with 21 chapters and 2 interludes currently translated but since the latest release was months ago, here I am to (hopefully) find someone to continue translating it. It doesn't have a harem or an OP protagonist (in the sense that they beat anyone and anything without breaking a sweat) but they aren't weak either, both of them are well known in the game for their skills (with Aileen being much more famous). Kei's archery is Top Class but unlike other top tier players, he isnt very skilled in anything else (although he did master the basics of swordsmanship as a backup) plus the action is reasonably well done. Description: Western VRMMO【DEMONDAL】was known for its extremely harsh game system. To begin with, there were no levels. There were no skills. There were no guilds. There was no inventory. There were no convenient system messages or maps of any kind either. It was so needlessly realistic that it was already basically a VR life simulator. As for anything game-like, it was basically limited to weapon masteries; a proficiency level that you got from using your weapon, as well as physical strength that increased as well. That was it. It was a fantasy game so there was magic, but forming a contract with a spirit was extremely difficult, and only 1% of the playerbase were magicians. In this VR game【DEMONDAL】that was ridiculously close to reality, the protagonist Kei who was a well known mounted archery expert, was one day sent to another world with his Russian【DEMONDAL】friend. The game that was severe to begin with had turned into a reality, and the harshness increased again―― Anyways I really hope someone starts translating this since I feel a lot of potential from this
+1 , the romance in this novel progresses like an actual romance novel, and it's an overall good story. However, IIRC , the author was in a hiatus and the chapters are too long.
Yup, because the author got stuck with the issue of having introducing the main female interest so soon, and he is dead set of not making it harem. So the only part he can write on is the adventure, which becomes somewhat repetitive. Still I would love it if someone willing to translate to current chapter though.
I also greatly enjoy the novel! Raw has plenty of chapters to catch up on until the author figures out what he wants to do lol
Sounds interesting. I'll add it to my list and hope it gets picked up. Thanks for sharing, I was just looking for something else to read.
If there is romance by the fact that the russian friend is a girl, i'm all in ! ROMANCE CONFIRMED !? THK YOU ! Now i will read it when it's translated ! Progress like an actual romance novel ? EVEN BETTER ! I will see where i put it in my "ranking list of priority, that rank which novel i will read first or last" that exist in my head. Will give it a few read before deciding. Awwwww. The adventure is repetitive ? I'm a little disappointed. Guess we will need to fall back on the good romance.
I'll give this a read and if I like it I might pick it up. Although I do have my reservations seeing as about 95% of Japanese novels on here are either indistinguishable from porn or the protagonists are complete Mary Sues...
The Protagonist is pretty strong but I really wouldn't call him a Mary Sue since he almost died from a fight against one of the bandits (albeit he was apparently fairly strong).
Given the length of the chapters, I doubt that your average hobbyist can take it on. Unless it is their sole novel. Let me put it this way, I split large chapters into two For this novel, I will have to split into 10 parts or more. I was interested in translating it, but even paid translators are wary of this Peace!
