Seriously why does most novels nowadays have a freakin long title?
Just like "I have a Mansion in a Post Apocalyptic world",and im shock to see this. "I Have a Manor in the Post-apocalyptic Era" ?? Coincidence? I think not... Hehehe maybe i should write one myself with a title of "I have an Imouto in a post apocalyptic world?" or "I have a (insert meme) in a post apocalyptic world " lol... I feel like people lacks creativity nowadays...

Not trying to be rude but i think having creativity is pretty hard (you can try it if you want).
Maybe (the second title with Manor) author could have changed it into "My residence is a manor in the apocalypse and i will be the best!" or something so it's not as similar as first title, sorry can't do better.

A lot of potential readers will not bother to read the summary when scrolling through the long list of web novels so the title has to draw the reader's interest/summarize the story.

Bwahahaha ! You both make laugh and hate you because i am now interested in your not-existing story of the second title and because i know that i won't ever get to read it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: i would only like the story if the harem is not too big.

The title tells more about the content of the novel than the summary.

and then they make the summary the same thing as the first paragraph of the story.

what bothers me more are chapter title, tbh. it REALLY gets on my nerves seeing a title that's a chapter too early. like, they'll name a sword, and then there won't be any sign of a blade till the final sentence, while the next chapter is literally all about the sword, but title is about some asshat that doesn't show up till the end of that chapter. they're spoiling their own novels.

Well i chose this username because it was funny, roleplaying as a pedophile is fun(ofcourse roleplaying and reality is completely different) afterall i think its better to be funny rather than having an edgy teeny chuunibyu pic and username......

Titles made to be long so when the cover is printed, they can spend less budget on cover design

Except they seem to change the design and font for every character, and they have to put it on a complete picture, so not much effort saved by it.

You really had to do it to 'em.

Personally I have no problems with long titles, especially if they're informative of the content inside. Like with Robinson Crusoe above: extremely helpful title.

On the flip side, they can also be helpful in a different way. Like, if the book really is just a threadbare plot with a harem and isekai and some poorly constructed magic system, I'd rather the title be "I was Reincarnated to a Different World as a Bishounen and Have Harem Made out of Bishoujo so I decided to Defeat Demon Lord Who Also Turned Out to be The Bishoujo From My Previous World UwU" (ty @R0) than the American YA equivalent, which tend to be fancy single noun/adjectives that give you little to no indication of what the book's about.

But yeah, long titles are a pain to write out and translate. I feel bad for the cover artists.
