Corrupt a Wish

Granted, but now, after centuries of having the best, no one appreciates the best anymore: they have nothing to compare it to. They have slowly lost the concept of best-ness as it has become their new normal, and begin to become dissatisfied with their lives. Then, trying to deal with that dissatisfaction, they reject what is best for them and seek other things that are not best. They look for better which is, inevitably, not best; and is, quite often, worst. In the end, well, let's just say it's (once again) a hot mess.

I wish for the ability to play every musical instrument masterfully.

 

granted, but at what cost? unimaginably high... plus, music lost its meaning to you, since without effort, things are taken for granted... gradually, you turn deaf... whether its the cost or after effect, you'll never know or care anymore...

granted, but then one day, the cops came and it was discovered, they were corpse eater... it was all a facade all along the nice neighbor act...

i wish for a new identity..

 

Granted, but it turns out your new identity is of a rather unsavory fellow. Shortly after acquiring your new id, you are thrown in jail and left to rot for a crime you certainly did not commit.

I wish for allergies to cease to exist.

 

granted, but then people got weaker immune system as a result and an epidemic start worldwide.... the casualty kept rising, until....

i wish for a light drizzle all day on the weekend to sleep in...

 

Granted, but the drizzle never stops. The world is flooded. Humanity and all nonaquatic life goes kaput.

I wish for a free supply of mint chocolate chip ice cream for all.

 

granted, i wish i don't have to corrupt this one.... but here goes, it was all a lie, the cake, the ice cream, the chocolate chip... empty promises to fool the masses... OR, everybody suddenly have mint and chocolate allergy, eat the temptation at the cost of death... bwahahaha

Granted, but it's a breakfast of vegemite and spam sandwiches. Vegemite and spam– all in one sandwich. What a joy. 365 days a year. Sandwiches. For breakfast. This diet slowly causes your stomach to revolt and what's left after a stomach revolt? Well, not much– of you, that is.

I wish for a cute puppy for those in need of a little cuteness in their lives. (*cough cough* me among others)

 

granted, but at night when' nobody's looking these puppy turns into nightmares... and they haunt you in your dreams...

i wish for a stable economic system worldwide, thats fair, just, rewarding to all...

 

Granted, but only temporarily. Some schmuck is greedy and messes it up causing things to be even worse than they were before, as no one was prepared for such idiocy. Inflation, economic depressions: you name it, you got it. Finally, it gets so bad that governments initiate martial law to try and keep everything together. That, ends badly...

I wish for people to have sound reasoning behind their arguments and beliefs and not just follow like sheep.

 

granted, but then everybody becomes more separated, understanding more difficult to approach, extremist occur more frequently leading to more strife and conflict...

i wish to have mastery of martial arts...

granted, but it comes with a curse of forgetfulness, nothing is retained i your memory for more than 10 secs... so everything becomes useless...

I wish I could speak, understand, and read all languages.

 

granted, but you get blind, deaf and mute at the same time... you have to learn braille to communicate... poor soul...

Granted, but you get hit by a car and lose your legs less than an hour later. After you get discharged, you get hit by another car and lose both your arms. Terrified of being hit by a car and losing your head, you spend the rest of your life in the hospital.

I wish for a grocery store that has everything I need at a low price and at a good quality.
