I think (and I am basing this off only on my memory) that you can take up the rank up quest at any time and that it doesn't have to be finished the moment you were given. ...then again, this wouldn't make sense for the timeline, so you kinda indeed need Alice's confirmation about this one.

 

We'll give you the rank-up quest when it's ready, but you can take it only when you feel like it~

If you won't have time to clear it, then you can just leave it for latter~

We don't want to force a rank up quest in someone when you are busy or just don't feel like writing after all, so just take your time and don't worry about it, when you're ready to do it you can just poke us in the Quest Board about it~

Skyfall-Moon: 110km
Moon-Randgriz: 120km
Randgriz-Bridge: 180km
Bridge-Asphodelus: 80km
Nagrand-Asphodelus: 580 km

Travelling by foot for 8 hours excluding rests (no rush): 8 km/h * 8 h = 64 km
580 / 64 = ~9

If I travel by foot, then I would be wasting too much time. In my first quest, I might have gone with @SpearOfLies, but that was when I didn't care much about travel.
...I guess I will do the same this time; I'll just say that I hopped on some merchant's carriage in secret, I suppose.

580 / (19*8) = ~4

...yep. Much better. ...though, I suppose renting a horse might be better? Or perhaps buying one, like Cinis did...
@Naraku, what is the cost of one horse? (Please don't say 1 silver coin... )

Right... Zoan has not been lucky enough to encounter one with a horse though.

The name actually underwent 3 changes until I was comfortable with, previous names were Zaratrusta, Johnny and Smith.

I just couldn't find a name that sounded right, so I just chose the first name that sounded cool from the top of my head.

 

One of these things is not like the others...

 

I first went for a really dumb and hopefully laughable name, but I just couldn't imagine Rigël speaking with a straight face to someone named Zaratrusta.

So I ended up changing to a more mundane name, but they just felt wrong.
