Recommendations Novels like Reverend Insanity

Hello people, as the title suggested I want novels like Reverend Insanity, with MC as wonderful and 'kind' as Fang Yuan. Using people like they're disposable goods, prioritizing himself above everybody else, clearly using his brain to think instead of his lower half, jade beauties look like jade bones to the MC, cold and calculating.

If there's a novel with MC like this out there, pls tell me, i need to see a wonderful MC like Fang Yuan. Whenever I read other novels I tend to compare the MC of other novels with Fang Yuan, of course there's that huge gap of intelligent, which makes reading other novels less enjoyable.

I think you might like 'I am the Monarch' (it is amongst the novels that I plan to read but I didn't yet, you can give it a check if you want )

I found one evil protagonist novel that is similar to translate but it was too difficult to translate
Warlock of Magus World is close but pretty annoying
Fan Yuan is more rational than evil.
He actually loses and learns from his mistakes
He had to be less kind because he learnt that being kind doesn't work.
Finding something similar amongst the heap of wish fulfilment stories or rather crap is impossible.
Reverend Insanity is not a wish fulfiment story
The author explicitly points out that he will kill the protagonist if necessary
I think the "evil actions" is overkill
I prefer the business management aspects
You will have better luck if you go buy a commercial book

Unless you want only a specific facet of Reverend Insanity which you have to specify

P.S. Fang Yuan is not intelligent. He is very stupid. He said it himself

On second thought, Assassin Chronicle is close, protagonist is a killer but the story is either flawed or it is the translation that misses the nuances. The translation is quite bad: him changes to her etc

I can assure you IATM is NOT like RI, at least Roan in IATM is somewhat humane compared to Fang Yuan's complete mistrust of humanity (not unfound, just creepy and pitiful).

I think, more so than anything mentioned previously, Death Sutra fits the bill. Ruthless novel with a plot.

It's written in a bit of a different style compared to RI, and it has ... well, romance, if you can call it that. Not really though. Difficult to describe. Subtext and a few hints, yet very fulfilling because it gives the involved characters just that little bit more oomph. Anyway, it's an actually bleak novel way more so than RI, give it a try.

If you appreciate Western fantasy as well, give Broken Empire a try. Not my cup of tea, but it might just be yours.

 

Is that the reason why there had been stops for weeks? Because the author is pondering whether to kill Fang Yuan or not? I understand that 600 years in an unkind world can do shit to a human psyche, but what I never understood from my point of view, is that FY never actively seeking and destroy his old enemies that may grow as a threat, I seen couple of CNs that does that, where MC can now literally uproot the entire clan with his hand. FY did not do that, he just continuously tries and sometimes fail to climb for more power.

Ps, ok I get that my examples are wish fulfilment, need sleep, my reports are dead meat.

I'm with you there. I think it's the lack of humour and some relief from all the dark.
I haven't read past ch 150, but I'm going to start it again just to see why people like it so much.

 

I actually got pretty bored at the begging of the novel but It became one of my favorites later on
