For me, everytime except once two years ago. Just had a haircut, and my god what a mess. I just can't understand how they mess up such a simple cut. Literally told the guy to thin the sides and the back, leave the middle alone, and he still messes up. Everything went fine at first, before he bulldozed everything in the middle and it was too late for me to say stop. And the previous one before that too. I said cut the top halfway—proceeds to bulldoze the top until less than a third is left. Now all i can do is wait in agony for the next three months for my hair to grow again. I live in a third world country but there must at least be some capable barber here right? Dear lord...
use a simpler request buzz cut with pent 6 on the side, little off the top with scissors if they mess even that up, just go for the for buzzcut
I don’t really have good ideas or thoughts on what my hairstyle should look like. I usually just tell my barber, “Do what you want.” Since haircutting is a kind of art, I don’t mind creative freedom and artitistic value. Plus, if I do like the hairstyle my barber does, I can take pics of it and save it. If not, I’m just meh. I won’t get it next time. And tell him I don’t like it. And we can try again later.
With barbers, it's never for me, but once my sister convinced me with her honeyed words that she knew what she's doing. Never again.
Kinda liked my hair longer sadly, but yeah the only thing that they probably won't mess up is a buzz cut
Once. And I kept that hairstyle for 20 years... I was 8 when my barber accidentally shaved the entire side of my bro's head. Then she lied to me saying my parents told her to do it... and to maintain the lie she also gave me a buzzcut. My brother grew his hair out in middle school, but I kept my buzzcut 'till now.
i don't even bother with a barber anymore. they always took far too long for what should've been fairly simple, and it never really felt worthwhile. now, i just take a 4 to my whole head, use the ear setting, and then trim up any loose bits. takes only a little longer to cut, as it does to get all the pieces out. goin to a barber, i'd waste 2 hours of my day, waste the gas it takes to drive there, have an awkward conversation neither of us want, overpay for the haircut itself, and spend the next few hours/days thinking it doesn't look quite right and wishin i just did it myself. much easier this way, and i'm slightly more happy with it, when i cut it.
At least once ... at the end I had a haircut similar to Tintin's. so I went to another barber right afterwards and let him get rid of the quiff ...
All the time! That's why I only go for a hair cut once every 2 years so I can cut my suffering to bi-annually.
"Just cut my hair short" is my language in any barbershop. They get it. Some of the old ladies don't even get what's a buzzcut or any of that buzzwords.
