I think they're the same, the one from fanfiction.net because it's nicer to read there. Both say they're the rewrite version.

 

Tbh I'm not expecting much just from reading the tags... If it's good I would use it for recherche purposes.

 

Same here I was 95% expecting to be teenage wet dream and nothing more, but I always hope and fall for it.

 

I myself have not read it and emerald flight are both terrible??

I'm reading ascension right now and it's interesting, not the best but still better then most.

 

Dropped twelve step at chap 34(?), started to get boring and random ass problems coming up, annoying love interest, and overall just stalled on the same arc without adding nothing...

I approve of Assimilation, first time ever that SI admited he's from another universe and knows about future events from the start.

 

? Why would he do that? And is there a reason for why you want a si to admit it?

 

...because in most stories you can trust the heroes or whoever the good guys are and plan how to counter future vilains and disasters, also get their help to get some technology,powers or whatever

I personally think there is too little information to assume that the universe the mc is in is actually the mc know of, or that some characters are villains but the stories still didn't reveal it.

 

The possibilities of something going wrong are too much, at least from my perspective

 

Maybe if you personally have experience with the characters (3-4 years of interaction and trust building) then yeah it's acceptable, but just confessing everything the moment you meet them is just lazy writing to speed up the mc-heroes relationship.

Well sure there are some dark fics which make the whole point don't trust the Hokage or Dumbledore or Weasley's... and they are right, but cmon why would justice league all be secretly manipulating and dark? Sometimes the authors make their SI's needlesly unthrusting and loners that get it all while sidelining everyone else.

 

Mmm, if you put it like that... Tho I would be more happy if the mc has the possibility of escaping the heroes before confessing, just a little paranoia that always help.
But still, mc should not really be that trusting. Mostly cuz of how many people can take control over the mind of a hero...
Or maybe gods? I suppose they won't be pleased by some mortal knowing all of they secrets.
I personally think that mc should stay on the defensive until he knows at what place in the timeline he correctly live in.
