I just read chapter 30 something where the Duke of Vast Seas was introduced as the FL's lover(?) in her past life and now I'm super scared to keep reading because I'm 99% certain that he is not the ML and it completely breaks my heart when people are one-sidedly in love and get their heart broken. So my questions are
1. Does the story end up as a little harem-esque with two ML's?
2. (More likely) And if not, how does the Duke of Vast Seas move on from the FL and/or find someone else?

 

1) 100% one ML. The MC doesn't even know he likes her because in the past life and this life he thought he was not good enough to be with her. She only finds out when he crosses her bottom line. He went off the deep end.

2) Where I stopped, he never did. He thought he'd always be her guard.

 

Oh my. This is the saddest spoiler ever. I really like the Duke. I’m at ch 80 rn and have started to mtl so I’m scared to see him go to the deep end. Do you remember around which chapter this is so I can prepare myself? Thanks

Sometimes, there's just too much text describing how beautiful MC or ML is, but I cannot even visualize and just end up subconsciously skimming through such gibberish....

1. Has the RAWs revealed what her dream when she was in coma for 5 days is about? Is it her past? The one where she saw a woman was hugging and stabbed a man who was injured and mouthed “sorry” to her.
2. Who is the ultimate antagonist? Does not seem to be halfsister from what the spoilers have alrdy mentioned.

 

Spoiler: Question 1

That dream turned out to be a dream of past events. The woman are the twins biological mother and the man turned out to be their biological father. The mother stabbed the father because the mother's sister did something to him where if he doesn't go along with the magic he dies. He doesn't go along with it because he loves the mother. (The magic was something about love or something. I can't remember.) So the mother in order to save the father stabbed him and did sacrifice magic where you give up something. What she gave up where her twins, her power, and I think part of her life. This allowed the father to live and have the possibility of coming back.
As for the twins, they were lost in space time and somehow were still born from the mother. I'm not sure how this makes sense.
The MC's soul and the twin bother are really siblings.

Spoiler: Question 2

Seems to be the people who later kidnap the mother and torture her for the act of leaving the organization.

I left off at chapter 300 and will prob not go back to reading this.

Seems complicated lol not sure how novelogic made it happened. I guess that means Qing Fei is not that woman? But they are somehow still is born from her so maybe it is part of her soul? Confused nvm.

 

This a theory ok.
Maybe that's the reason why MC came from another space while brother is on another one. After MC died, she was able to travel to where her brother is.
Maybe the remaining part of their mother was able to give birth to them.

I wanted to know who is the person who seems to know that MC is dreaming that scene and seemingly knows what the sacrifice the mom did. Is she the person who cursed the dad? Or mom relative?

I should have clarified that what I was confused by was by how the twins were still born from the mother when the mother was an unrotting corpse until her soul was pieced back together by the ML. (No love in a romantic way, more like love for a nice elder)

Btw, nice guess, that was the actual reason for the mc mc cominf over. The only thing wrong with the theory was that the bother also came over too, the difference is that the mc has her memories.

Can you give me more background information? It's been a while and the dream comes up a few times in the story.

the MC'S mother comes from a family with 10 daughters. The mother being the 10th one.
She kills her 8 older sisters even the eldest who was pregnant and on the day before her wedding.
I forgot why she did it.
She also killed her father.

There's a bigger conspiracy here but I don't remember what it is because the sister isn't the final boss.
