The nomad took his time listening to the grumpy granny, and calmly answered: "I am indeed not a mage, but I know a comrade of mine who does. She is nearby, so I can bring her within an hour or two."

 

"Then do so. Otherwise I can't be of much help, boy," The dwarven granny said, sipped her drink, and returned to her hobby.

 

*three hours later*
"I brought her," the nomad said. Behind him is a hooded woman clad in a dark purple robe, who seemed to have the general gist of what is going on. Said attire was very recently bought as her previous one is that of a primitive clothing similar to that of the nomad. Considering the personality of the old receptionist whom Zoan has met for only a short time, he decided to give her a quick makeover as to avoid any potential issues.

 

"Aye, that the one? Looks flimsy. What can you do, sweetie?" The granny's expression showed a hint of kindness for a second.

 

The woman was confused for a moment as to how to respond, but immediately responded with: "My magic affinity is related to the dark attribute. My magic mainly involves spells that temporarily weakens my targets' body or mind, and strengthening spells that require blood as a medium."
Naturally, she did not say anything about the incident from the village from a few weeks ago. The amount of information she had given to the old receptionist should be sufficient.

 

"Mhmm..." the granny raised an eyebrow once more, "Fine, I'll give yer quest, but only use dark magic. Ye don't wanna cause a major problem, even if th'guy's tower is in the mountains. You," she looked hard at Zoan, "be a man and make sure everything's proper. Ya'll be sorry if th'lady suffers."

"Hello thar, lady. Ya catch me in a good mood today. I see a lot of ye have gathered. Well, let me take a look, now." The granny scowled, looking through the scroll. "Well, looks simple enough. Ye know, ye need more meat on ya! I'll leave ye something extra when yer back, so you can fetch something fillin'"

The dwarven elder stamped the quest as approved, returning Venefica's card with an update.

 

"Ouuuh this quest looks pretty good! . I always wanted a sparring partner." After taking the paper, fillian run toward the table and slide the paper to nearby staff. "Excuse me mister, can i take this one!"

"Oi, ya vermin, what are you lookin' at?" A receptionist from the side whispered in Granny's ear, "What the pits? Whaddayamean it's an adventurer? Oh it's gotta a card in there. Listen 'ere kiddo, yer cute, but I do my job seriously. Now lemme check your credentials first and compare the quest, eh?"

"Yer serious, are ye? Dear Beard of Dural, if ye mess this up, I'll smack you ten ways sideways. I'd suggest asking th'other adventurers who talk to him previous. Actually, I insist ye do. Off ya go now."

 

"Um.. it's say you needed expedience... does this mean that I needed experience for herb gathering?"
