The construct seemed about to talk again when its eyes flickered between green and sapphire. When Catherine's consciousness returned, it rose up hurriedly.

"Whoops! Something came up, so I got to go!" It dug out for something beneath its veil, and tossed a silver coin toward Pierre. "See you all later!"

With that, it returned to the receptionist desk and remained rigid there.

 

Bill, while waiting for customers to come into the empty tavern, decided to create 36 fist-sized water spheres with his magic. He then froze the outer layer of each one in one moment and began deftly juggling them.

Over the course of him juggling, Bill created more orbs of water and constructed an ice palace 2 ft tall on top of the counter.

Deanna walked into the tavern and found a table near the entrance to sit. She got a cup of water and started eating her sponge cake.

 

The ice palace dissipated into a mist as the bartender attended to some new customers who had arrived.

"I think that I caught a cold... for sleeping that much that is.", Gaap said as he opened his eyes, he looked up at the sky and let out a sigh.
"...maybe I am still asleep.", after all, he fell asleep in the tavern.

"I will be fine. Zoan is giving me my loan periodically, so I don't need it", Mallory calmly responded. "Not to mention, didn't you pay some small copper coins to buy the rope? See it as a compensation for that."

 

"But you two were the main reason that we succeeded at all..."

 

"You also need to pay for a living, right? Modesty is a good virtue, but you also have to know what to prioritize," said the witch.

 

Knowing the other has right, the girl didn't try to argue anymore and instead tries to make a comprise. "Aright.. I take half of the reward, but at least let me pay for a meal."

(I think a normal meal on low class for 3 is like 4 LCC and 5 SCC
Let's say a rope is about on Leather/Wood standard... hm...it's maybe 30 SCC for 1 M and the crab need minimum 5M
30 x 5 = 150 SSC, which mean... 15 LCC...)
