Remember how Van has always been fusing himself with his reflections? He might do something similar, but not complete, for example Legion style integration. That would make him more godlike, and God of Orgin would be able to affect world more strongly. (But that wont probably ever happen)

Summary for SS 50

Banda got the info he wanted, broke Balor's neck and destroyed the heart just in case, then using the rubble from the shots, buries him. Then he used Deodorizing to clean up the smoke and smell of blood, opening his body again to free the 3 who are inside. Mei seems calm, but gets surprised at the state of the house, Ulrica however remembered her trauma and doesn't want to get out, Mei starts comforting her.

Banda thanks Ulrica for her help, most likely also trying to calm her down, then tells Hiroshi his room should be fine, and asks him if he wants to take anything with him, like Games, Plastic Models, clothes and all the stuff, Hiroshi thinks it's too much, but Banda ensures him that's not the case here. Seems like he is taking his claws from one hand and throwing them out with another, seemingly a random act, but he is taking out snipers.

Banda ensures the area is clear of enemies, so Hiroshi can take his time, also he needs to share info with Ulrica. Ulrica then warns Banda that he can't hide anymore, a neighbor took a video of the fight and uploaded it already where Banda kill's Balor. Although all neighbors were supposed to have been restrained, seems like at least one was still free. In any case, even if Banda were to be gone, everyone would be restrained, and the children would be secured by Avalon under the name of "Government protection". They deduce Avalon is getting impatient to do such a flashy job.

Banda then informs that the number of sacrifices will increase, specially if they decide to wait for Amemiya to deal with Avalon. Balor didn't had crucial knowledge, like the fact Avalon was researching DA, anyway, he decides to help out, and informs her that Mari and Joseph... Should be fine by themselves. Ulrica asks about Amemiya, and Banda just informs her he won't die anyway. This is info he understood from Pluto's history. He doesn't need to help, nor he wants to help.

He is worried that Amemiya could decide to kill Mari, but he thinks things should be fine anyway. Ulrica worries about Joseph, but Banda ensures he is fine, and the one in the most dangerous situation is Narumi, so they will go to her, Mei is happy, but Ulrica worries how they will reach Africa, Banda then shows her Balor's car, and changes form himself. Ulrica has acrophobia (Fear of heights), and understood what he meant, and felt like crying, but as things were packed properly and all, they entered the car, and Banda took it with him, flying high.

The neighbors, now released anyway, some watched that and called the police, but when they arrived, Banda was already gone with everyone else.

Amemiya was sent to the Middle East, supposedly terrorists were targeting schools and stuff, but the mission suddenly changed to rescue of hostages. Half of the terrorist group were disposable mercenaries, the other half were highly trained soldiers, plus, in the middle of the hostages, Metamorph (now codename Black Maria by Avalon), and 3 limited death attribute users, even if by some miracle Amemiya survives, he should still be damaged.

Joseph is on a plane to South America escorting some criminal organization arrested people, the idea is to explode the plane with missiles from jet fighters piloted by (at least one) reincarnator.

Narumi is on a earthquake relief mission, it was the only natural disaster, but Avalon was able to take advantage of it. She will be dealt with some Limited DA users plus reincarnators.

Moriya "Shaman" is impressed with the scale of Avalon's plan, and rejoices on the future successes, he already has influence in the government and criminal organizations around the world, even if he is found out for this attack, he should be able to deal with everything later. Even if Amemiya were to survive the whole deal, Avalon can still recover later on. In regards to the death of other strong reincarnators, Moriya thinks everything was just Avalon looking far ahead at the future. There is no guarantee that the world order will remain as it is now, Avalon will get DA, then make a new breed of humans who will rule over all. And then, bad news arrived.

"Golem was destroyed!"

Moriya had no worries about the units dealing with Narumi, Joseph and Amemiya. The golems are not aiming to kill the reincarnators besides those 3 (and Ulrica), just to stop them, after all, there are not enough reincarnators to deal with them all.

The idea is simple, once there is a reincarnator with a Fortune, it's easy to kill other reincarnators if you counteract with another fortune, so reincarnators were sent to all killing targets, but not against the others. Avalon just needed to send them away them destroy their means of movement and communication. Moriya though the destroyed Golem was from such a case.

He asked which Golem it was, and found out it was from the US (What's the name for the country with the building called "Hexagon"?) , Balor's unit, which was surprising, as he was one of the strongest, making him worry about the end results. The origin of his codename is the fact that terrorists would lose their energy in front of him, as if looking at the eyes of the legendary demon. Moriya asks Balor to give some contact, but then another person informs him that the golem was destroyed by Echo's ability. Moriya's couldn't think that Echo would have noticed a surprise attack, and wonder if it was "He" who was responsible for this. Nobody had any information about the mysterious creature, but they didn't think much considering it was Balor on the attack.

During the kidnapping incident, they got the corpses of the dead and analyzed them and noticed the deaths were pure physical strength rather than some magic, so Avalon hypothesized that this member would be someone like Ghost (The one that is not noticed, Avalon shouldn't know about Shade) using some magic item to increase his strength, but that's all they could think of. Besides, Echo had a good recovery this last year, but it has been a long time since she saw action, they were not expecting such reflexes.

Moriya was impressed that their relationship was so good to the point that Ulrica and Joseph could work together with "him", he had thought they were in convenient "use each other" relationship similar to what they themselves had with Murakami. They could never have thought that Banda helped them only from kindness, so never in their minds they could expect such companionship. Then another message.

"All golems from Balor's unit stopped working, all signals from the mercenaries vanished"

Moriya couldn't believe it, and the Body Camera was activated, and everyone watching the stream was surprised, they couldn't find Echo, nor Mei, but Moriya understood it, they were inside of the monster. The monster rushes at ridiculous speed at Balor and easily "disarms" him (I couldn't not do it), and from the opened mouth, fangs, and the image is cut.

Moriya couldn't think of it as a remnant from 8th Guidance, he needed to call Avalon.

Avalon received the video, and to him, it was just a big cheat

Meanwhile in Rod's area, all 4 are watching the whole deal with Avalon from a screen.

"The best weapons, it did nothing to him, nor to the people inside. It doesn't matter what known alloy they had, it was impossible. There was no chant, the speed was ridiculous, Balor was massacred, nobody can win in a 1-on-1 fight against it."

Rodcorte sent Avalon multiple warnings, in a very unusual way, he tried to inform him of all his mistakes, to correct what he should try and so on, he even recommended Balor to not wait even 5 seconds to start the shooting. Rod wanted them to stop the DA studies in the first place, at first he thought everything would fail, but then, to his surprise, he succeeded. But none of the Divine Messages arrived neither to him nor to anyone else, Balor and the others already see Avalon as a Godly figure, and the man himself does the same.

They wonder if the monster is a remnant of 8th Guidance, but they don't think so, Pluto would have used it in her suicide battle, Murakami would have known, Amemiya would have killed it, they have no idea what is the monster, but they need to decide on something fast, even if they are to give up on Amemiya Mei.

Rodcorte gets agitated at the suggestion, that's the best case, stop going after her, or your souls will get broken! Of course, the people on the screen hear nothing. But one of the angels informs that he has no reason to break the soul of anyone besides Avalon, right? And at the side the newly arrived Balor, he is screaming while trembling like a child, he didn't want to reincarnated in the same world as that monster.

When Banda went to look for information he also inscribed fear in his soul, basically, he did the opposite of what he did to Druid and Echo, this way less people would be inclined on trying to kill him again. (There was a comparison with Murakami, but I couldn't understand it)

The angels are now dissing Avalon, since smart people wouldn't do big things to carve their names in history, even if someone could take over the world, if they don't think on what would happen later, they will just eventually fail.

Avalon's Operator informed that they lost control on Metamorph/Black Maria, but also on YukiJoro, Bokor and Gabriel. When Avalon asked what happened to Artemis and Sahadeva who sould be taking care of them, all lost contact. They think Amemiya got them, even Ares who should have been nearby, but he was detected alive, plus, Amemiya had not arrived yet. Avalon wonders who could it be, the army generals are with him, they wouldn't attack his allies, so he guesses it must be "friends of the monster".

As Avalon was gritting over the situation on the screen, Oracle went towards the new 2 arrivals to explain things.

When Amemiya and others arrived (including Ares), the situation was over, and there was Metamorph, she was welcoming him, her arms behind her waist, and she had 3 people with her. Iwao (Titan) is surprised at her appearance, but Amemiya calmed him down, understand the situation better thanks to his fortune. Mari thanks him for making things faster, but reveals she met them all in the last year, at "Mama's celebration". She smiled as she lowered the guns and knives. Amemiya however was confused by her statement, Ares looked normal, but he was even more confused.

Ares was wondering what the heck happened, where are the hostages, why are they normal, and even Catherine, their trump card to sure kill Amemiya, isn't acting.

Da Long is the reincarnator codenamed Sehavana, a god that watches over life and reports to Enmadaio, his power allows him to monitor the habits of a subject, also what they have seen and heard, and also the conditions over mind and body. And not informed to Bravers, he can manipulate the body of his targets as long as he is nearby. It should have been impossible to get free from such ability, the only way would be to kill Da himself.

Catherine is Artemis, this makes her the strongest Sniper, anything she throws, in whatever way she does will hit the target for sure, as long as she can visually see the target, even if she throws the projectile the other way around, it will git, however, it doesn't mean the object will penetrate everything like Ignore Defense, but with a sniper rifle, it's impossible to miss.

Da was supposed to take control of Metamorph, and Catherine would kill Amemiya, but why is nothing happening, and Mari is talking casually? He wonders if the strategy changed and no one informed him.

Amemiya wonders what she was talking about, since her mother was killed... She corrects herself, sure her mother was killed because of "that guy", but not her mother, but Mama, well, they wouldn't recognize her because she was in the form of Avalon. Surprising Amemiya.

She confirms it's Avalon, she comments on how they must have thought she was dead, or murdered? She does not know the details, but through medicine and mind control she was under Avalon's orders. The day she looked strange it was her trying to recover sanity with Mama and Banda. Another shock to Amemiya, since Banda was supposed to be Mei's imaginary friend.

She confirms that he can speak, and thanks to him he teached her how to free herself from the control of Sahadeva. By using a barrier that absorbs mana she was able to free herself, so she killed Sehavana, and was forced to kill Artemis later, "How many holes do you thing that woman did on me? 13! What would you have done if I died!?"

Amemiya wonders why she mentioned 2 Bravers, so she just reveals that's the strategy to kill all of them except Ares, and then reveals that Avalon is researching DA in South America, but she is interrupted by Ares with a headshot. Amemiya is again surprised by his ally's action killing another Metamorph, but the 3 people with Metamorph are not moving nor showing any instances of a trap, Ares understands the plan failed before it started, so he decided to shot her before she spoke too much, so he decided to just kill or do the maximum of damage her can.

Ares power is the ability to "double powerup", it doubles the attack power of any weapon and magic that he uses, this does not count weapons not controlled directly by him, like the weapons in a vehicle though. And as he prepares to kill everyone, Mari's voice calmly reveals that he is a traitor.

As everyone looked at her, she was just about taking an extra head and sticking it in her severed neck, Ares can't believe what he sees, so he explains she just delayed her death, then changed a part of her body with Metamorph to make an extra on. She killed Artemis like this too. And adds that she is not immortal nor undead, she is just a normal person with abilities like himself. Ares, Amemiiya and the others are stiff.

Ares goes in an all or nothing against everyone, Amamiya tried to act, but the 3 people moved faster.

A girl with white skill and hair, Yuki Joro (Snow Woman), can eliminate heat, pretty much nullifying gunpower chain reaction and fire attribute itself. Upon this, Ares faces increble coldness. Gabriel, an androgynous person, announced the fall of the rigle. Bokor, a latin boy in his late teens, "blesses" the life inside Ares, Amemiya understood nothing of what they were doing, but Ares was doomed. Ares tries to ask forgiveness, cause he wouldn't attack them, but couldn't complete the sentence, as multiple Moths and Slime-like creatures were leaving.

Amemiya then recognizes the Undead's Death Attribute Magic, Gabriel (using watashi), announes the evolution of the microorganisms in the body, then Bokor (uses boku) completes by making the target body as an ingredient, and like this, Ares remains alive. Amemiya is astonished at their calmness.

Mari returns and wonders if they want to hear the rest later, or if she should explain it again, Amemiya asks her to start from the moment they thought she was dead, and to make it as easy to understand as possible. Mari is annoyed, since it was easier to kill Catherine and Da than explaining all this, but she will try, it's important to try, and she want's to hug Mama.

A few corrections: SS45 and 49 have been corrected by giving a little more into Ulrica's mental health, since she wasn't shown to have it the first time she appeared.

Hiroshi's age was also correct, as he was said to be 10yo, and the author was warned that the math wouldn't count. In my summary though I thought the sentence said he was almost 10yo.

Also, seems like the LN has an original character Lefdia (レフディア), seems like she is related to Zandia's recovered hand.

Densuke recognized, considering the limitation Banda has of not being able to be over 50m away from Mei, he can be recognized as a Storage Type Stand. Now go and show your creativity.

And as I have guessed, there were more DA users that couldn't flee with 8th Guidance, most likely because they were in another completely different place. Damn it Avalon, such nice people.

So Narumi will meet Banda, and maybe find out the truth? I guess Narumi will be safe now, and will certainly not go to Lambda, which means Mei won't go too... But I think Mari will eventually go to, she has no place in this world anymore, and being a DA user... Well, let's see what will happen...

3 new people with Rod, Ares is still alive, too bad Mari still doesn't know how to inscribe fear on the soul, although her MP should be limited, if she can Demon Ascend, she should have enough.

Poor Echo, knowing acrophobia myself, I understand the worry, but I like how strong she looks, and how hopeless she feels. She will make a good waifu. Hope to see you in Lambda too!

 

I just imagined van taking all of the DA user with him to lambda, not so much to increase his combat power but to scare the hell out of his opponents. Think of them hearing that van got a bunch of people that can use the same attribute as him (without the information that you need a lot of man if you want to achieve the same as van)

 

I assume those half DA's are made with Maria's method.

 

And poor Rodcorte even tried to warn them of Bander. If they only hadn't believed Rokudo to be god-like...

Mari's free! Bander With some help from Bander she broke all the control devices on her and the other death attribute users, and then Mari exploited [delay death] and [metamorph] to keep regrowing parts of her body as she kills the reincarnators under Avalon who were sent along with her or embedded with the Bravers to ambush Amemiya (pour one out for Artemis, Sahadeva and Ares). Also get introduced to two of the new limited death attribute users, Gabriel (pathogen magic) and Bokor (demon fire magic) and Yuki Jorou (heat leech magic).

Like how Mari starts trying to explain things to Amemiya but he's utterly confused: "wait, you're not dead?" "wait, Avalon is evil?" "wait, you can all use death magic?" "wait, my daughter's imaginary friend is real!?" "...look, sorry, but can we just start this all again from the top, like, from since I saw you die?"

Also slight mystery over who the person Mari keeps calling "Mama" is. She makes it clear its not her mother, and from the context it sounds like it might be Mei? Either way, she seems to worshiping Bander and Mama with religious fervor, so uh, yeah, Mari's definitely going to be joining Vidal.

The person Mari refers to as "Mama" is definitely Mei. Mari talks about a birthday party for Mama where they (Mari and Hiroto) last met and where she (Mari) acted strange. We saw that happen in the previous arc. Mari is clear that "Mama" is not her "okaa-san" (real mother).

Incidentally, I don't think Bander broke the control devices himself but taught Mari how to (probably in dreams). It's specifically said he taught her how to think with her soul and while the rest is a bit ambiguous I think it makes more sense to say that Bander also taught Mari the death magic spell to disable things, since she seems to use that later too against the evil Bravers.

I wouldn't quite call Mari's attitude towards Bander and Mei "religious worship" though it's certainly close.

 

oh, yep. And Mari's death mage codename is "Black Maria".

reading the current chapter, I had an idea of what could happen, Van makes a great appearance in Origen and takes with him the reincarnated and other people who received his blessing, this besides transforming a gigantic part of the God of Origin into a clone of Van will make many people want to join "god" wherever they are (I'm not saying that people will commit suicide, only that will direct them to where people want to go after death), this growth will create a connection between the Circle of Reincarnation of Vida, we do not know the actual effects of the evolution of the superior ability of Van's Guidance possesses, but I believe that just having faith in Van is enough to change someone into the Vida...

 

I find it interesting to note that the Death Mages made by Avalon (from what we have seen so far) can only use magic/abilities from the original Death Magic Attribute, where as The Eight Guidance made by Van had Magic/Abilities from the awakened Dark King Magic version.
