So I’m thinking of making a Hajime cosplay. The clothes should be pretty easy to find or make, the issue is his weapons and arm. I don’t have any ideas on how to make his arm, but I should be able to fabricate my own guns or just buy some models for myself. But the main question is, as I said, how should I make his arm? Because if I can’t then I have to settle with the one armed version which has a much lower amount of impact. Any ideas? I’ll be in class for the next hour or two so I’ll respond later.
What Hajime are we talking about? At first I thought it was Hajime Hinata from Danganronpa 2 as you said clothes would be easy, but then you started talking about a gun and arm and lost me Spoiler: Hajime Hinata
...Well, um, I mean Hajime from Arifureta. Anyway, thanks for the help! What's that? Thanks! I'll look into it more soon!
What material and effort are you using? I have a good video tutorial applicable for both metal and foam. Going with metal would take fair amount of effort, but the clinking sounds are brilliant EDIT link to the YouTube vid You can modify the pieces so they resemble a prosthetic more than a metal gauntlet.
Probably metal if I can. It’ll be a huge undertaking though. And I’ll really need people to help me decide if it looks right. The issue with metal though is that I don’t have anywhere where I can bend it. So foam is probably my only option.
I can pitch in with some opinions if you like, I'm pretty interested in the final look too. As for the metal, you can look for those thinner sheets of steel, 1 mm or such, non-hardened which you can bend with pliers and the power from your wrist EDIT actually no, I think it's even thinner, think of that stuff steel roof is made out of, you can line it with foam for comfort and extra thickness
Hm, I’ll probably ask some of my instructors at school for some help too. Unfortunately I don’t even know if I’ll be able to make it yet. Need to find out if I got into an internship.
