Im reading the lady's sickly husband in mtl since the translator hasnt updated in years and I really wanted to read it.

So I rarely do mtl. Like VERY RARELY but then somd of the novels I place in stockpile just dont update. So I end up doing mtl.

Anyway I wanted to ask if theres a better machine translator than google out there or if there are any plugs or stuff that could help make the mtl kill my brain less.

I mostly read on my phone so if the plugs dont work on phone pls do tell me :')

I'd used a few others to compare with Google when I'd mtl-ed MDZS and comparing helped.

Try to read on proper mtl sites like lnmtl and comrademao and check of they have been retranslated the more retranslations the more bearable the reading experience .

Google translate it and basically learn that every word could be replaced with 'cockroach'

If Korean, systranet.com is vastly superior to google trans.

If Japanese, infoseek is a solid option to compare.

For Chinese, just pucker up and try to decipher it.

lmntl is my default pick for CN but it probably doesn't have the one you're reading. There's Baidu's translator which I've heard some people prefer over Google Translate.

If it works on phones, then yeah definitely get word replacer.

Otherwise google translate is actually pretty good, besides the whole cockroach thing and randomly deleting portions of the text, and some other quirks...

But anyway, to get anything better than google translate would take vastly more effort and it's doubtful if it's even possible on a phone at all.

Sadly, the best solution is a wiki for machine translations.
I tried to do it but it wasn't as easy I thought.
I might give that another try in the future

Auto Google Translate already good enough for me..........my advice: Go for any JP or CN web that enable copy paste unlike Quidian, burn your grammar book, and enjoy it..... If you already got 10.000+ chapter MTLed and read it seriously..... You don't need any translator except for rewriting someone name in alphabet:blobpopcorn::blobpopcorn::blobpopcorn:

I use chrome on my phone so theres this thing that pops up at the bottom of my screen asking if I want it translated to english. Basically google translates the text into the language selected and u can read straight from the site.

I find this method very torturous. But if Im going to try learning chinese then it might be worth a shot :')

Use Google translation toolkit, and setup some basic glossary such as list of names, and once you figure out what the word means update your glossrary, it will get better in just a few chapters. However, it still worse than hunan translator

It's more time consuming but using a glossary and the google translator toolkit (which admittedly isn't that user-friendly) would probably make a big difference. Just taking care of the proper nouns can make an MTL much more readable.

I also remember a few months back someone made a text search and replace tool and posted it here in the forums, you might search and see if that helps.

Edit: Here is the forum post about using a text crawler:
