    Was likely when he was on or going to the Tian Yuan world/continent and joining the Lin clan.

    The person he was talking about was Shen Tu Nantian
    (the one that tried to refine mc's sister into elixers). When he learned that Shen Tu Nantian is semi-engaged to Lin Xintong, and that if it is the only thing he could do, he would even cuckold the prick with Lin Xintong than let the bastard have that gratification. Of course he checked himself for being a bit of a prick in thinking of that way of the girl though.
