Only about a thousand years actually passed since the start of the story. One would only need to reach Dao Seed to live longer than that, which applies to the best of the Tai Ah Divine City geniuses and pretty much everyone we met after. Maybe we'll get some more cameos in the epilogue chapters (though I bet it will be some bullsh*t third party perspective instead like the one for MW and the latest two breakthroughs.)

I will also check out Lord of the Mysteries.

 

I have recently started reading Korean novels and find it a complete breath of fresh air compared to Chinese novels. Started with ARK and Seoul Station Necromancer. Lord of Mysteries looks interesting, thanks for the recommendation.

It's an open ending or maybe not. I honestly didn't ship LXT over Lou hou'er. But it doesn't matter as the author has the final say.

 

"It had been a thousand years, and the Soft Clouds Mountain Manor remained in its original state." Right there in the last chapter. I know he spent maybe ten thousand years cultivating using the river of time water and the lamp, but a thousand-ish years still passed outside.
