    Everyone starts out as a newbie. Everyone is weak at one point in his or her life. You were going about your day attending class whether it be middle school, high school, or college when suddenly…a rip through space and time appeared from the skies, sucking thousands of people into the other side. Traveling across dimensions, you arrived at a parallel world. The differences between your old world and this new one: 1) monsters appearing and destroying nearly 70% of the world, 2) major cities built massive walls to block out said monsters, 3) dungeons of varying sizes appearing throughout certain major locations, and 4) a goddess living among men.

    The goddess is known as the Goddess of Hope. She was the one who summoned you here. The reason was to give you a fighting chance at a world that was in the middle of experiencing what would have happened to your old world in a few decades from now. Though weak in combat strength, the Goddess of Hope has the ability to grant her people game-like systems, skills, stat points, and even items. Defeat the monsters, take back the lands, defeat the dungeons, and return to your old world for the apocalypse!

    Classes can evolve and will continue to do so at every 10 levels. The level cap is 50. Brawlers will evolve into your warriors, paladins, barbarians, etc. Scholars will evolve into your mages, clerics, shamans, etc. Cowards will evolve into your thieves, assassins, rangers, etc. It all depends on your skills, your stats, and your decisions/actions.

    Skills can be found by slaying monsters, completing dungeon floors, and via rewards by the Goddess of Hope. Stat points can be found from potions, via rewards, and through leveling. Items are dropped from monsters, looted from treasure chests, and rewarded by the Goddess of Hope. The number of sides for a skill dice increases via potions and other loot. During each evolution, the number of die increases by one. So, from levels 1-10, you have 1d# but from 11-20 after evolution, you will have 2d#.

    Starting Race:

    Human - You are all humans to begin with. Racial bonus: +3 Stat Points (SP) to any of your Attribute Stats. You can choose the same Attribute Stat for all three stat points.

    You are all human to begin with, but mutations can happen either through genetics, chemicals, or magic. Racial bonuses for new races will be added on top of your initial human racial bonus.

    I will not hint to you on what you may or may not become or how to become a new race, but you will be given choices after certain conditions are met.

    Currency:
    The money of this world is worthless. Now, people use monster cores. Different colored monster cores represent different values. Monsters are ranked from weak to strong: Black, Silver, White, Red, Yellow, Green, Azure, Violet, and Heavenly.

    10 Black-Grade Cores = 1 Silver-Grade Core
    10 Silver-Grade Cores = 1 White-Grade Core
    10 White-Grade Cores = 1 Red-Grade Core
    10 Red-Grade Cores = 1 Yellow-Grade Core
    10 Yellow-Grade Cores = 1 Green-Grade Core
    10 Green-Grade Cores = 1 Azure-Grade Core
    10 Azure-Grade Cores = 1 Violet-Grade Core
    10 Violet-Grade Cores = 1 Heavenly-Grade Core

    Monster Levels by Grades:
    Black Grade = 1-10
    Silver Grade = 11-20
    White Grade = 21-30
    Red Grade = 31-35
    Yellow Grade = 36-40
    Green Grade = 41-45
    Azure Grade = 46-50
    Violet Grade = 51-99
    Heavenly Grade = 100+

    Character Creation:

    Make a character by choosing one of the three classes and the human race option above. Make sure to add the racial bonuses to your character. Add your character name and gender as well as how much money you start out with. All new players start out with 10 Black-Grade Cores (BGC). As time goes by, players can earn consumables from completed raids that they can store in their inventory and use for the next raid or sell to the Shop. Most weapons will have Attribute Stat restrictions. Any starting class can use any weapon as long as the restrictions do not affect them.

    Directions/Rules:
    • Combat will be extremely similar to Monster Raider. Players and monsters will roll 1d20. Those whose roll are the same will depend on higher DEX. If two players roll the same number and have the same DEX, they must roll once more. If a player and a monster rolled the same number and have the same DEX, the player always goes first.
    • After the turn order has been established, players can attack while using there skills. The combat heavily depends on dice rolling using the discord bot "RPBot" and your Attribute Stats. Skills other than Weapon Attack, Block, and Dodge takes STA or MP, depending on what it is written in the "Library of Skills" thread. When you run out of STA or MP, you can skip your turn to regain 2 STA or 2 MP back or you can use Weapon Attack to regain 1 STA or 1 MP.
    • There will be territory buffs and debuffs depending on what you have in your "Other Stats". If say you are fighting a sea monster in the waters, the sea monster will have a territory buff that allows them to damage higher and attack earlier. However, if you don't have the territory proficiency, you will get a debuff causing you to attack slower and damage lower.
    • When you are being attacked, you can take an action to block or dodge or use any other defensive skill in your repertoire. Whatever value you get from the defensive skill will be used to subtract into whatever damage you will receive. So, if a monster deals 10 DMG to you and you blocked for 4 DMG, you will only be dealt with 6 DMG.
    • Combat continues until the monster retreats or dies, or until the players retreat or dies.
    • After combat, rewards are given. If you have the "dismantle" skill, you can also try to loot the body for materials once. If you don't have the skill, you can try anyways but the chances are very low. If you are able to loot successfully 10 times, you will be given the "dismantle" skill.
    • Combat during dungeon diving will be similar except you will be dealing with more than one monster or more than one type of monster at a time. Plus, each floor will have a floor boss. However, if you managed to clear a floor, you can leave the dungeon and attack it another time. The floor(s) you managed to clear will be scot-free of monsters the next time you come to dungeon dive.
    • You can chat in the "Lounge" channel in the Discord server. There, you can roleplay to your hearts content and even organize parties to take on monsters and dungeons.
    • There are named monsters - kinda like the bosses of the world roaming at select locations which will be difficult to take on by current players. However, there are many other monsters that have yet to been discovered and scouted. During "Exploration Quests", players will be offered quests that detail of a monster's appearance. What is required of a player who takes on this quest, is to scout out the monster and describe any of its abilities and habits without engaging in combat. Reports can be submitted under the "Exploration" thread. The quests can also be found in the thread.
    • During dungeon diving, players will be expected to roleplay among themselves on where to go, what to do, and things like that.
    • Later on, there may be quests dealing with NPC relations as well as the rise of a few questionable factions.
    • Players can also craft items. They must make the recipe with Attribute Stat requirements. Naturally, they must fulfill those requirements as well in order to successfully create the items. After the successful crafting, any player - as long as they have the Attribute Stats and the materials required - can create the item(s).
    • The recipe for an item needs to follow the format as shown in the "Workshop" thread. Recipes should be posted on the NUF thread and attempts at successful crafting should be done in the "Workshop" channel on Discord. Just make sure to post the link to the recipe you're attempting to make.
    • Items that you create cannot have "added bonuses" until it has be appraised by the "Merchant Center" channel or by a player with the "Appraise" skill. Those who have appraising skills must be reasonable in their appraising. You can't say a normal arrow with no enchantments does +10 DMG when it should have only done +1 DMG.
    Leveling:
    Each time you level up, the skills you have that requires dice rolls will upgrade. In other words, the number of die will increase. For example, a skill with 1d# will become 2d#. Each time a player levels up, he or she will earn 5 stat points in which the player has free reign to put in their Attribute Stats. Naturally, the player can also choose to hold onto the stat points.

    Stat Points:
    An increase in STR, increases STA --> 1 point in STR = 3 points in STA.
    An increase in DEX, increases chance of attacking first --> higher DEX attacks first.
    An increase in INT, increases MP --> 1 point in INT = 3 points in MP.
    An increase in WIS, increases Resistance Stats --> 1 point in WIS = 0.1% to all Resistant Stats.
    An increase in CON, increases HP --> 1 point in CON = 7 points in HP.
    An increase in CHA, increases chance of extra loot --> 1 point in CHA = 1% chance of extra loot.

    Skilled vs Unskilled:
    Some actions like dismantling, crafting, or cooking can be done without the skill. However, because you are unskilled, you need to make 1d20 roll where 19-20 is success and 1-18 is fail. After being successful for 10 times, you will acquire the skill. As a skilled, your success rate increases. When you make a 1d20 roll, 17-20 is success and 1-6 is fail. With every evolution, your non-combat skills will increase in success rate. Thus, at level 10, you roll 1d20 with success at 15-20 and fail at 1-14.

    Monster Defense:
    Every time a player attacks a monster, the host rolls 1d(# of defensive skills + 1) for the monster to have a chance to defend. So, if a monster has three defensive skills, the host rolls 1d4 where 1-3 are the defensive skills and 4 is the “do nothing” option.


    Grappling:

    If a player wants to grapple a monster, he or she must roll 1d10 where 6-10 is success. When a monster is grappled, it cannot defend and it takes double damage on the next attack. However, the player doing the damage must roll 1d10 to avoid hitting the grappler where 1-5 is failure. Upon failure, the player grappling the monster also takes damage. The monster can attack its grappler who cannot physically defend himself or herself.

    I want to point out something. How will we see the difference between Black Grade Core and Blue Grade Core ? There are both BGC so it could lead to confusion in the future.

    So many Cowards...
    It will be great to have more Scholars I think. Also a DEX Brawler who fight with his fists could be nice, something like a monk.

    so, since you put 2 points into INT, you need to add 6 points into MP.
