Yep. This was a good read and a satisfying end for me.

 

My only regret is that it ended without the MC reaching the last known realm (Heavenly Dao realm).
It might be the first novel with such an ending.

 

he does have the strength of Heavenly dao realm so it's ok ,and the mc won't break to it even if he had reached the realm .
btw didn't swallowed star ended like this too ?

 

if he mastered the heavenly constelatin dao he would be able to breakthrough, but more likely would keeping collecting merit by means of hunting on the chaos rift


btw the chaos rift seems artificial, perhaps theres some high level guy promoting smelting trials

Well I dropped this novel ages ago even though he's my favorite CN author. I do wonder what his next work will be. The moment he did that kidnap daughter/wife bs I dropped it. I hate that cliche and he usually doesnt do it in his novels.

This is pretty accurate. Lord Xue Ying is one of his first novels where the MC doesn't start with a cheat or reincarnation. Sword Path didn't really either unless he changed the MC origin later since I did dropped it.
