Discussion How many novels do you actively read ?

This is just something that I was wondering about. Im curious about the difference between people about this.

I read on my tablet and have 3 tabs open for each novel. I can only read 3 novels at a time without any problem. But when i try to add more novels , I get confused at times and sometimes even forget events that i just read about when i switch to a different novel.

Im currently reading Rebirth of The Legendary Guardian, Very Pure and Ambiguous and Endless Path

Also does anyone get a strange feeling when they read 100+ chapters of a novel and then switch to another one instatly ?
For example when I read 130 chapters of Endless Path and then switch to where I left off Legendary Guardian, i had this strange sensation in my head. Its like an "oof" moment for me. If i had to describe it its like the images of characters and places suddenly gets destroyed in "Mr Stark I dont feel so good" style. And then those images get replaced by different ones. It makes my head go numb for a few secs.

I only get this sort of feeling when I read too many chapters of a single novel. I dont get this feeling when I read a few chapters of each novel and switch rapidly between them.
So i was wondering if someone has this feeling or something similar to it ?

 

I have up to 10 novels I actively read, but mostly it is one main novel I am catching up to or finishing with the rest being ongoing or on the backburner where I read a few chapters a week for them, not several dozen per day

and yes, thathappens, especially when I immerse myself deeply into a well-written novel. in that case my mind is sometimes more in the world of the novel than in reality, so I don't get what is going on around me or don't care or get surprised

 

at one point of time, I was actively reading 7 everyday. these days, I dont find the same passion... I read about 2 series everyday...

in which more or less 10 novels are updated almost daily
while others updated every week, or two weeks, or a month

i prefer to read one novel at a time, till the last chapter
currently reading Are You Addicted?

after i finished a novel, i immediately change into another novel (that's why the list also keep growing)
currently i bookmarked those with 10+ chapters novels and waiting for some to be updated till 10 chapters or more

 

Up to six a time I guess. And sometimes I switch and I haven't changed the novel I was reading in my mind and it feels funny. Like reading a cultivation novel and then suddenly going to a JP VIRMO fluff story and think they are in the same story altogether and after a line or two it clears up and it's okay but like, it's plain weird sometimes. But fun too.

 

I have 40 here in English and 30 there in Chinese and another 30 in another place.

i only have 7 novel currently reading since most cn novel is generic so my reading list gone down from previous 30+ also i stopped reading jp novel because of its beta goody two shoes mc,

Used to read 10+ but there were too many interludes/hiatus etc
Just pick a few with good update and stock up on others

there rare occasion I can read up to 10++ titles on one go but that was last semester I guess

 

5 novels waiting for chapters and 2-3 novels binge reading
so around 7-8 novels
if i count those temporaly dropped then there are bout 30-40 novels

 

Less and less every day

 

Yeha that stange feeling . Its more prominent when the genre is different. From a fantasy setting to modern day setting is like a shock alsmost xD

I read these everyday and binge read others if I have time

 

I probably read 10-20+ different novels in a day, whichever is updated on that day.

probably 50+ titles that I read actively.

If I can't recall it, I skim the earlier chapters.

but I focus on one when binge reading a title so I could absorb it properly.

I would mix up some stuff if it's closely similar sometimes...
but just rarely since I avoid reading cookie cutter stuff as much as possible.

there are weird times that I would think I read a novel as a manga tho.

 

hhh thats sad, i absolutly love to read. Maybe give yourself a few days or weeks pass ? If you dont read , maybe the passion will come back ?

I feel like this can apply for the passion of novels aswell

 

i have 4 tabs open.....one of them is fixed at arifureta.....one is any chinese, one is anynovel that has 200+ chappy.....and the other is for reading list re-read.....

 

I currently have 34 novels open however I have bookmarked at least 40 others. If I find one that's at least 400 chapters and ongoing I might read it while I wait for other novels to update. Occasionally I might forget if it's been a while but after reading a bit it comes back to me

 

Mine's probably close to 20 or a little over 20. Although I've got hundreds on my RL, a handful of it got dropped by the translator, lots of got dropped by me because I simply didn't like the story, a few that I'm stockpiling chapters so I could read it at 1 sitting since it makes the story much easier to understand.

I'm seriously just too lazy to organize my rl so it looks like I'm reading a lot but I don't even think I'm still actively reading or interested with 1/4th of it.

 

I understand what you mean. Thats why i aim to read novels that are finished or close to be finished. WHen I start reading im too invested to stop.
