A lot of times when I am searching for something new to read, like right now, I always look at the chapter count and if it's cancelled or not. Usually, the ones I'm the most interested in, are usually cancelled/dropped. Is there a way to stop this, by excluding these novels? I really don't like getting my hopes up several times a day.

When search add the latest release filter.
Set minimum to a month ago

When you are searching in "Series Finder" you can even from "Last Release Date" choose a month or more behind. Or from "Release Frequency" write 20 or 30 days if you don't want to read very slow updated novel

And then search again, but this time witout the latest release filter, but with Completely Translated set to yes.

Very few novels have been completed.
Release frequency is also misleading. I use to release once per month but 4 chapters at a time.
You also have novels with large chapters.
It might be once per month but one chapter is equivalent to 5 standard chapters

There are currently 35 pages of completed novels. As long as you're not looking for one of those "doomed to be completed after you die" 5k+ chapter novels, excluding completed translations might stop you from finding a few gems.

It will be your bad luck.
If it is dropped for more than a month the frequency will also drop.

When you fill the frequency instead of last update date you can avoid removing completed novel

The thing is, I always use completely translated, though I might switch, but a lot of cancelled/dropped still come up, as they're also technically completely translated.
