Really?... No one knows?.. Ummm, what else... When she meets her father, without knowing she's his daughter, he really takes a liking to her and has her travel with him and his group for a bit, makes her his adopted/god daughter, but there's a generic canon fodder "enemy woman" that's in the group that gets jealous because she loves the MC's father and tries to have the MC die, yanno how that kind of stuff goes in these novels. Can't remember anything else about the novel which is making it difficult for me to figure out which one it is.
