I want to write and publish my own story, but I quite confused about where to start?
it is better to start at QidianInternational, or Royalroadl?

from what I have heard, you will lose a lot if you publish at QI. the rights to the novels etc. I don't really know much, but I haven't heard anything really positive about publishing there
you could start by posting your story on RoyalRoad, Scribblehub and a few others. maybe someone could link the thread from at most 2 days ago that discussed the options?

depends what you mean. Is the story already finished? Or have you yet to write it? What's your goal? If its just barely begun, post it to Qi and Royalroad but dont like officially partner with QI to get money or anything like that. You can post it free without going premium. You'll post it there just to gain readers, same with royalroad, scribblehub, wattpad, all those.

If you want money then things like patreon can help you there after you gain a good following, i'd say if you can make it to 100k readers then there'd be people willing to support you but that may take a couple months. Or publish it on Kindle Unlimited instead--some dude told me he saw a guy with a meh story of only like 600 to 1000 or something readers get decent money through that so if true thats something to keep in mind

But i dunno much about how to publish through that so ask someone else. I suppose there must be guides online that take you step by step on this, you;ll have to look it up yourself.

I'd only look at those options AFTER the story's finished though.

But for free publishing? Wattpad, RRL, QI, and Scribblehub are good choices and you dont have to limit yourself to just one either.

If u don't want to lose rights , creative freedom and freedom in general of ur work then don't contract with QI , it is fine if u want to publish it BUT NEVER GO PREMIUM u will lose more than u will gain ( anything is more than nothing )
But I would suggest to post it story on all three RoyalRoadl, QI , ScribbleHub mostly because no one is stopping u and u can just mention in a note that u post on other sites too so anyone can read from anywhere and u get free Advertisements from all Three

From what I know, unless you sign a contract with QI the terms are same as other sites.

If you want to maintain your rights and creative control over your work then ScribbleHub or RR are good.
You could also monetize your work if you so choose to.
