That shit is as ridiculous as Harry Potter's "He who should not be named" logic.

So, cosplayers are suspected of being into hate groups :blobunsure:?
Then again, sometimes weird things happen when cosplayers meet :blobsweat_2:

There's logic to it. Even if it isn't related, they just don't want to be perceived by outsiders as endorsing practically anything to do with hate groups or nazis etc. It's just a safe call, really, as heavy handed as it is. People who know about it understand that it is fine, but it's external public perception that would be the driving factor behind the call.

More likely so that they don't have the bad perceptions from the general public when people seem to be cosplaying nazis.
It's kinda understandable as most people would just immediately jump to conclusions.

I don't get it, why do majority of people assume Youjo Senki is Nazi-propaganda, when it's clearly just jingoism and a misunderstood little magical girl killing lots of people? I do admit, I originally thought she was a Nazi, until I read the light novel, and it was set with a World War 1 scenario, except with World War 2 battle tactics (maybe I'm wrong this part)? I mean, World War 1 had yet to happen in that universe, well until the Empire got cocky and let the remnant forces escaped.

I bet they're just jealous the those that cosplay as imperial soldiers look classy and damn good in it. YOU KHAN DE' NEIN HOW MILITARY UNIFORMS LOOK AWESOME!

If there was ever a re-adaptation of Dies irae as a movie, with a better funding and anime quality. I sure as hell would cosplay as a member of the Longinus Dreizhen Orden, and watch the movie while eating popcorn and soda. But wait... I'm actually dressing as a mystical Nazi? Blah! It would not matter, because it seems the West is bias against anything German or imperialistic.

They don't wanna offend some people i guess...:hmm: Especially the WW2 veterans and survivors during that era. As you know our current era tends to overreact and easily jump to crazy conclusions e.g Goblin Slayer and Shield Hero :notlikeblob:

Because it's perception. The movie or whatever it is, they can clearly point to facts that isn't associated with anything bad. When people start dressing up and walking around, it's harder, because as true as you want to be to the source, there's always going to be someone who gets butthurt and makes a fuss that 'people are dressing up like nazis'.

I'm not saying it's the right thing to do, I'm just saying that it's the easier way to insulate yourself against people who don't know what they are talking about pointing the finger. They have probably decided that it just isn't worth the risk.

Probably don't want people in costumes getting attacked.

Why would they ban their own Tanya? Who would fight Natasha and Yuriko Omega then?

I feel like its to protect themselves as there are a lot of stupid people in the world. all it takes is for some newspaper to take pictures and call anime "nazis" and people are bound to overreact, best for them to ban it altogether to avoid implications

Yeah, anyone in a Nazi uniform should be arrested by the fashion police because they look too good. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Shame that they stand for something so unsavoury.
