I don't want to give out too many spoilers myself, though I plan to lurk and see what everyone thinks... I'll give you one of the spoilers you asked for, my favorite of the angsty cute fluffy moments in the first arc: Spoiler: Arc 1 mini spoiler There is a point when LZ and GY are trapped underground in a mine and the floor of the mine collapses underneath GY. As GY falls down he throws LZ to the side to keep him safe. He ends up getting rescued but refuses to leave without LZ. So he heads back up all alone searching for him, but unfortunately... Yep, feeling evil today. I am trying to get a chapter day out though, so you shouldn't have to wait too long...
Mtl-ing it right now (currently on third arc.) and I honestly love how it feels like MC is the one following ML not the other way around. Their interaction are also very soft. There hasn't been any explicit scenes yet from where I'm at if anyone is wondering about it. Much of their interactions are hand holding, hugs, and gentle smooches. (It melts me. I feel soft every time) Spoiler: First Arc ending ML finds out who MC is and what he does and follows him. I think ML is still in the testing phase of employment or something so he has his memory temporarily erased while he goes into different worlds. MC follows him though so it's all good. Second Arc is where MC is a young biology(?) professor while ML is a graduate student. Spoiler: ML's original cannon fodder fate In here, ML's character is a student who has been suppressed by one of the professor he's an assistant(? interning?) for. The research ML's original host is doing would ruin that professor since his own research of it isn't really 100% true or something (mtl comes up with 'fraud' a lot). In the end, O!host gets killed in an experiment accident. World's protag comes in a couple years later trying to do the same research. Finds sketchy stuff going on with professor. Finds out O!host's death and the whole 'expose the villain thing happens'.

I want to give some spoilers before I forget them. Currently MTLing the 5th arc. Overall this is a cute, lighthearted (well, mostly) story. Some intros for those who wish to stack chapters from the very beginning. Spoiler: Intro Lu (our MC stays surnamed Lu) received overtime assignment to change the fate of the cannon fodders because apparently, they were too tragic. So Lu's mission is to change their fates without interfering with the main plotlines. Spoiler: Arc 1: Planetary war Original timeline: The Guar was invading and colonizing the Galileo Planet. The cannon fodder is surnamed Gu (he's our ML and will always be surnamed Gu) planned to sell defective ores that were the core component of the mecha's fuel. Galileo's resistance organization didn't know this and thought he was a traitor and tried to assassinate him. They were successful. Counterattack: Because of Lu, Gu wanted to stay alive and faked his death instead. There was an angsty moment where Gu and Lu were separated in the abandoned mineshaft after jailbreaking the Guar's prison that GOT ME SUPER ANXIOUS BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WILL END UP BE but fortunately, it's HE. Spoiler: Cute moment~ Gu: /stand behind him to check his assignment progress. Lu: /bow down to hide his practice book. Gu: /lean in to see. Lu: /bow down even lower. Gu: /lean in even more. Lu: /covers the book with his body. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gu: "Are you a secret agent?" Lu: Nods. Gu: "Are you recruiting? I'm willing to undergo genetic recombination. I'll pay the deposit upfront. As long as I can be with my lover." So Gu became interning? staff. Spoiler: Arc 2: Research Plagiarism The original timeline has been spoiled by @Karry In the counterattack: Lu came as the new Botany professor. He took Gu as his assistant teacher and later swooped in when the villain professor discouraged Gu from continuing the research project. He altered the main plotline a bit because the villain was supposed to be dealt in by the protagonist. Lu ended up taking Gu under him, along with a few other students from the villain. Spoiler: Cute/Funny moments~ I think there were many cute things in this arc; let's see if I can recall them. When Gu first saw Lu, he thought Lu was a new student and offered to take him to register. Along the way, he babbled about making ice cream with liquid nitrogen, making hotpot using induction cooker and breaking all sort of rules in the lab. Don't cook in the lab, guys. The air in any laboratory gave me super dangerous vibes like there are chemicals dispersed in it. They must be deadly. When he found out Lu was a professor, he was like 'Crap! How much credit I have in Botany? Seventeen? Did I lose everything???' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gu thought Lu was super naive. He ate some of his tofu and Lu was like, smiling~ Because his tofu has been eaten many times in the first world so he didn't care. He gave some food and Lu went to hug him. Really. Too naive. Fortunately, I found him first. Spoiler: Arc 3: Vampire Daddy? OTL: I think this is a futuristic setting. The humans explored the space and were exposed to different energies that caused them to gain abilities. The hidden creatures like werewolves and blood family pretty sure this is vampire emerged in response. There was chaotic fighting and then a peace treaty was signed. Humans created the Secret Service Organization or something to monitor those creatures. Gu was a vampire. While he boarded a plane or something similar, two humans with abilities went berserk. Gu tried to save the people but was killed by the Secret Service that monitored him. Protagonist arrived too late, tried to save him but failed. Too many MTLd words that I didn't understand in this arc, so I might be mistaken many things. Counterattack: Lu came to protect Gu as an agent of Secret Service, as a human disguised as a vampire. Gu: "You smell like me, so you must be my child. Call me daddy." Spoiler: Funny moment~ The deputy director protagonist kept failing his exam about the vampire. He needed help. So when he received Gu's invitation to visit the manor and meet the couple, he came running. Gu was barbequing the kebabs, asked the protagonist to take over so he can wake Lu up. The protagonist was worried that Gu, with his impaired taste bud as a vampire, will make no-good kebabs. So he had a taste test. Surprisingly it tasted good! Gu went to the bedroom, flirted with Lu that just woke up and they went down to meet the protagonist. But the protagonist was gone. The hill-like kebabs were gone. In the end, the protagonist still failed the exam. Spoiler: Arc 4: Bad PR Actor OTL: I couldn't find the first chapter of the arc so I could be wrong on this. Gu was a great actor that has been in the industry since he's a child. Someone with great backing was aiming for his downfall; his agent gave bad scripts, his assistant sold his private story, the stand-in CEO of the company joined in the fun. TBH dunno the ending but surely not good for Gu. Counterattack: Lu came while Gu was in the midst of being kidnapped. So Lu hijacked the car and kidnapped Gu instead. "This is kidnapping~" Lu became Gu's assistant and part-time paparazzi. He sneaked shot some photos and leaked them, made Gu appeared pitiful and bullied. Of course the villain's side counterattack, even Lu was implicated. Lu's elder even made an appearance! Golden thigh yo. Easily solve everything from here on out. Lu ended up becoming the company's president and Gu continued signing with the contract with the company. Spoiler: Cute moments time~ When Lu kidnapped Gu, he properly put the seatbelt on for Gu and even gave him an eye mask for fatigue. Then the system bought the driver's skill for him to drive the car. Lu was supposed to be able to drive instantly but.... he still didn't know how. Gu ended up taking over the wheel and kidnapped himself to a hotel. Later, the system went quarreling with the customer service for the bad product! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They were napping in the car after filming. Gu woke up earlier than Lu and had this thought. 'This situation... this will be the best situation to sneak a kiss according to the script!' So he leaned down for a kiss. But... the phone rang and woke Lu up! 'According to some scripts, interruption during such an attempt could happen. This is normal!' Spoiler: Arc 5: Undercover Police OTL: Gu was undercover police. In a mission, he was injured and had to rehabilitate, killing the identity he used before. Later in the different mission, the enemy from the previous mission attacked him. To prevent hostages from getting injured, Gu tackled the enemy to other place and the bomb on him detonated. The Protagonist who was close with Gu became more determine and ruthless in his action and finally settle the case. Again, might be mistaken something. Spoiler: Funny moment~ Lu: "Oh no! Gu is too badly injured. No matter how well the rehab goes, his injuries won't heal completely before his next mission start." System: "Don't worry, host! I'll buy the medicine from the shop! 2 months recovery without sequelae!" At least, he will still have the ability to bed the bost!

TBH there were many cute things scattered here and there for me to remember everything, but there's one that actually connects to the angsty part. Spoiler: The Bell Lu was a quite guy, you see. If he could nod to express himself, he won't say Yes. So one day Gu woke up and didn't see Lu, he thought Lu was gone. Until Lu suddenly appeared beside him. So he said "I should put a bell on you so I know where you are all the time." Gu did gave Lu a bell, I think he put it on a necklace. IDK why I'm imagining it on a choker. It came in handy in for that moment where they were separated by a thin wall of stone. While they were in the abandoned mineshaft, the Guar used biotoxic gas to kill them and the couple were affected badly not far from the exit. Lu even had to do CPR or something similar to save Gu. Then there was earthquake simulation that shook the mineshaft like it was the apocalypse. Gu pushed Lu to something akin to a platform to save him, but he himself was swept into a river. Lucky him, a personel from Galileo was searching for him and saved him. After the emergency treatment, Gu took some supplies and ran back into the mineshaft to save Lu. Because he was running on foot, he needed to estimate the place he was swept off but no matter where he ran, no matter how many times or how loud he call, Lu never answered. It was dark and he kept searching but Lu was nowhere. Unbeknownst to Gu, Lu was in the area,. He heard his calls, even heard his footsteps when he ran right by his position, but Lu can't answer. The biotoxic gas from earlier damage his throat and he can't make a sound. Not a single one. While Gu was gone, Lu has been counting. Because Gu said if he needs him, just count until....10? 100? can't remember sorry So Lu, because he can't speak, found small stones to count. 1, 2 , 3 ,4... by then he already lost the strength to picked the 5th stone. The stones rolled down but Gu can't hear because his running steps were too frantic. Then Lu slid down from the platform stone.... ring~ Only then Gu pinpointed his position in wall crack/crevice and saved him. Even after Gu injected the medicine, I still thought the author gonna pull the BE but yeah!! That's not happening! They were saved. Sadly, Lu's throat never recover in this arc. I don't think I do any justice in explaining. You guys better read this in MTL or TLed version and cry with me. Also, this is becoming too long......
What I do like is that it's easy to tell who the MC and ML is. ML is always Gu something while mtl always translates MC's name into Light Lamp LOL.

Regarding the arc 4 driving skills, all I can say is asdfghjk! The driving "skill" was actually a play of words which represented a different meaning... understood this after MC read the contents and tried them on the ML... I do wonder what it really is cause it contains: Spoiler stalking massage seduction(?) and the likes Finally, I found that it means: people who have rich experience in a certain field usually porn...
So is the MC and ML in every arc/world are the same? the names, souls and the bodies are the same? @Karry, I'm confused, MC is the one following ML, but in your spoiler, ML follows MC......
In the first world arc, MC's target is ML (to change his fate from being a cannon fodder). Towards the end of the first arc, MC tells ML about his job and the system. ML wants to be with MC and asks if he can follow. MC asks the system and the system says yes (ML will still take over the body of a cannon fodder(? it's been a while since I read this)) but he won't remember anything. ML is fine with that so he and MC hop worlds together. Basically, they're following each other if that makes more sense.
Arc 6 Spoiler servant x sickly young master OTL: ML is a servant of a spoiled rich and sickly young master. Young master was weak (radiation exposure while in the womb) with a deteriorating health so when reaching adulthood (health deteriorates to the point that he's in coma) the father made the sickly young master's spirit enter the ML, ML resistance went for naught but the young master in ML's body never woke up... Counterattack: mc becomes the young master with frequent ooc alerts, meets the o!host 12 bros who's super caring for him, and helps him run away with ml since dad won't give up on the spriit swap thing but since mc is against it his bros help. MC could only cure the body once it reaches adulthood so he runs away during that time which is also the most critical juncture of his health. Arc 7 ABO world Spoiler OTL: ML is an Alpha general/marshal w/o pheromone and heat. Ppl can't accept such difference so they don't want him in such a high position, emperor though is supportive of him and gives him a bit of help like concealing his identity. Enemy invaders are something like ice beasts not like the usual zerg, anyway the political parties plot.. ML tries to stop the herd so he goes in alone since he could handle it, but the info provided was false so ML get's stuck in the middle of the herd and dies. world!protag has a scentless pheromone so he's also ostracized ML picks him up and places him in his team. Counterattack: MC is an O that is not an O (no scent no heat), transmigrates into the O body that the emperor is giving to ML to cover up his identity. mc spirit is a 'bloodthirst vine' in mtl, ml is something like an eagle/ hawk. MC hides his strength acts weak in front of ml as the O in this world are super weak and fragile. MC saves ML when he gets stuck in the middle of the herd bringing world!protag along since MC was using protag's mech. Anyway MC keeps helping ML and almost dies (?) till ml realizes that mc will always be in danger if he doesn't do anything. Fun moments: when MC came running in the conference when ml went missing for 3 days during a mission and smashes the table in front the other alpha in the conference with the protag, asking for a mech to rescue ml while threatening the protag. Protag has a teddy bear with him which he sleeps with. Arc 8: Xianxia/ cultivation Spoiler OTL: ML is the master of the world!protag and has a heart demon, heart demon was aggravated due to the enemies plot and strengthens, taking over ML's body... Counterattack: MC is the heart demon, when he was born ML immediately dispels the idea of removing him. Mc protects the ML by not taking in nutrients so he's stuck in a baby's body and stops the ppl who wanted to give ml tea that will strengthen the heart demon. ML find a way to bring MC out. Funny moments: ML make clothes inside his realm as he cannot bring things from the outside and vice versa, while doing so he steals pants and shirts from his brothers as experiment subjects. ML bought a sack of demon(?) dan to enter his realm and spend time with MC. Arc 9: Entertainment world Spoiler OTL: ML is a golden broker, but was maliciously slandered by his artist who's career wasn't really doing well. The artist claimed that ML used him as a money maker, so ML was vilified by ppl even when he presented evidences, the company also places more importance on the artist than brokers so ML was thrown aside. ML decides to go abroad to be better but his plane crashes Counterattack: MC is a new celeb which has not yet started and butts in while ML and the villain was having a confrontation (villain was afraid ML would be able to find a new artist to oust his plans so he slandered ML in the open once more), ML at this time was looking for a new artist in the meda company (?)... ML was used to this, he tells MC who wants him as a broker: I am bad and will only use you as a moneybag (something along those lines...) MC: I want to be used as your moneybag.. stunning both ML and the villain. MC lives with ml since mc claimed of running away from home bringing no money Cute moment: when ML wakes up in his apartment on the first day of living with MC he gets stunned, immediately looking for his phone for the pic to know that MC is real. when he goes to the living room he gets stunned once more as his apartment had a new makeover by the MC. when MC and ML was in a relationship MC wanted to spread it out immediately but was stopped by the ML. The system was super useful here, repairing appliances and stuff Arc 10: Ancient times Spoiler OTL: ML is something like a minister of justice, implementing rules and stuff. A lot of ppl are opposed to this especially the law prohibiting private armies, ML's execution was used by the emperor to push the law forward and be implemented. protag is the 3rd prince who usurps the emperor and becomes the emperor at the end. Counterattack: ML memories is closed (meaning ML won't recognize mc that fast) in this arc because this is an assessment phase, failing means needing to retake, MC never failed before so. MC is the emperor uncle (way younger than ML or emperor though), MC enters when O!host was riding through the street with a horse, MC narrowly avoids hitting a child but falls off the horse sustaining wounds, ML happens to pass by and hands over a violation card then leaves. After a lot of interaction ML feels that MC just a child that does things because no one taught him, mc didn't need to watch his ooc when his near ML because ML believes his a cinnamon roll inside but shield it with a rough facade. MC plots with protag to help ML, ML gets fed up with emperor since he ordered an assassination on MC with the hidden silver guards(?) of the emperor, the silver guards token which everyone thought was lost was shown by ML, the silver guards obeys those who hold the token so they stop the assassination. This arc reveals that the protag also has a protag system: the strict system prohibits the foodie protag from eating too much and requires him to run 3 laps around the city at night to stay fit. Arc 11: Apocalypse Spoiler Passing this world earns the right to go to the real world No counterattack; all that's needed is to escape/not get caught for 3 years MC and ML are test subjects: This is the world MC belongs to at the beginning MC and ML breaks out the facility and meets another uncle called Dai Na or something who helps them leave the city. They then establish a city for the those who are labeled as waste, but the other bases fear they will attack them so they start a siege. ML and MC goes to the front line only to realize that the ppl involved were MC's bros, they then proceed to chase/ beat up ML for 3 years, while MC was taken by one of his uncle. Real world: Spoiler After passing the arc 11 assessment, Ml was brought to a door that leads to the real world, but since MC wasn't around ML refused to pass through the door. The door vanishes and ML goes down the stairs again to search for MC. Ml sees a tree and heads towards the tree, where he hears the sound of bells, he finds MC there and MC with his parents leads him to the right door. ML was given a new body and brought to the training camp by Dai Na, and needed to be separated from MC MC takes a break from work leaving home to go to ML who is in the training camp.
