How forgetful are you! How often do you push away that gut or small voice reminder? Spoiler: I made rocks It smelled nice. The kitchen was filled with the smell of cooked brownies. I checked, and the top was super soft. “10 more minutes,” I closed the oven door and went back to the living room. Time to set that alarm! said the tiny voice in my head. I’ll remember it, I told myself. My mom came home, “hmm—what’s that smell! Brownies?” My hands froze above the keyboard, Oh my!!! I ran to the kitchen. Lord Jesus, my brownie looked okay when freshly taken out. When it cool, it was hard as rock. In the trash can they went.
I can remember where I live? Half the time. I seriously sometimes put in the wrong adress when ordering stuff online despite having lived here for almost a year.
Why isn’t that 9/10? Or even better, 10/10! Are you saying the goldfish has better memory than you? Humans are supposed to be the most intelligent species on Earth! Why are you even competing with a goldfish! Why not a dolphin? A chipmunk? A rat? Forget it. Maybe we aren’t as intelligent as we think we are as a species.
Haha, me too, whenever I bake something, I leave it in the oven and go to pass the time in my room using the computer, but I tend to forget about it and the result most of the times is slightly burned (fortunately )
Varies. I've a really good memory for movie, tv and book trivia. I'm also good at remembering things people say to throw back in their faces. But forget names as people are saying them to me, and I get lost turning around. For most other things I remember enough to know where to dig to find more useful info.
I've got a good memory for facts, movies, songs but at the same time, i can never remember where i put things like car keys or hairbrush. in my defense though, I've found them in places like the freezer or fridge with no idea how they got there. i usually blame it on the cat. i'm bad with names, too, but mostly because its too bothersome....
Well, i cant even remember what i had for breakfast. Though, I'm not actually sure i ate breakfast either... Additionally, there is this 3 weeks to 3 years timezone where i cant remember a damn thing, unless its pointed out to me that it happened in one way or another... even bigger things~ Its driving me normal crazy, i tell you
I'm impressed that you can look at something and say 10 more minutes. I always go in 5 min intervals........ What was the question again?
It depends. I have really good recall/recognition when it comes to things like vocabulary, the types of things you’d see on tests, books I’ve read... I often find myself randomly reminiscing on old stories. Of course, it isn’t perfect and I forget plenty of things, but I still remember a lot. On the other hand, I can’t remember shit in terms of people. If I don’t see you almost every day for awhile, I probably won’t remember what you look like. And you really need to interact with me a lot. If we don’t really talk much, I won’t really remember you even if I see you a hundred times. Most people, I forget as soon as they walk away. I can’t even keep them in short term memory. I think it’s a consequence of having very limited external awareness. Put bluntly, I just don’t pay attention to people or the things going on around me. I’m more interested in whatever I’m thinking at the moment. ... It doesn’t help that autopilot is enough for basically all social interaction and more besides. Unless you do or say something to really get my attention... you don’t have it.
