    Dear nuffians

The last few days i've watched 2 animes, Code Geass and Kakumeiki Valvrave, and thanks to that I have this empty void in my heart that need filling. So I dearly request help in finding more anime that are like these 2 shows.
Only criteria I got is that the endings have to be the same, like in Code Geass and Kakumeiki Valvrave, and a ending where I get tears on the verge of coming out (Kakumeiki Valvrave) or literally tears running down my face (Code Geass finale episode nunally)

What place best not to ask but a place filled with like minded people who understand the sorrow of dealing with a void.

    P.S. please don't recommend Gundam.

    Yours sincerly

A Nuffian stuck in the deep void of sorrow

Err... Knights and Magic? It's an isekai story but there's robot like the anime you watched.

perhaps aldnoah zero? i never actually finished season 2 though so i haven't got a clue how that ends
if you want to give lighthearted mecha isekai a try i suggest isekai no seikishi monogatari

I know you don't want gundam but i still want to recommand : Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans

This is really different from the usual ones. Mostly focused on brotherhood. When it starts to pick up, the hype is almost on in each episode.
It is directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and written by Mari Okada, a team which previously collaborated on Toradora! and Anohana. The series received mostly positive reviews from critics.

    Death Note
Clannad and Clannad:Afterstory for the heartwrenching feels. If Angel Beats Is getting hit by a truck, Anohana is getting hit by a bullet train, this will hit you like a nuke. Jesus fucking Christ I still cry everytime i see sunflower fields

Edit: oh you're looking for mecha huh. Then go watch Evangelion or Darling in the France(aka studio Trigger smoked weed at the end of the anime)

I usually don't immediately jump onto the next show when I experience that void.

I take a long shower, make some coffee, sit by the window, and enjoy the scenery that I see everyday but don't take a moment to appreciate as I think back to the amazing experience I've just had.

I usually end up doing no more recreational stuff the whole day if the thing I finished was that amazing.

...but maybe you're not into spending your time like this. Just my thoughts.

Ohh i do like to spend my time like that to at times, but when i get a void from an anime, i end up feeling like a dried up lake, i would sit around for days not being able to do anything if i cant find something as good or not better anime to end my existing void, only to get another... the story of my void life.

    Sad anime:
Your lie in April, plastic memories, angel beats, Anohana, Charlotte, Akame ga Kill, Violet Evergarden(personal favourite), Gosick
Action and plot: Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood, Akame ga Kill, Fate/Zero, Madoka Magica(also kinda sad), Erased, Future Diaries, Evangelion (original series or Rebuild movies, both are great), soul eater, legend of the Galactic heroes, Hunter X Hunter
Great anime in general: Monogatari series, One Punch Man, re:zero, konosuba, Overlord, Garden of Sinners.

Don't worry about watching all of them, they're all great in their own right. Took me 2 years to get most of this plus whatever seasonal anime was airing watched.

These are some saddening anime (in my opinion):
    Kiba anime (ending mostly)
Darker than black /all of the three seasons (some episodes and endings)
Death parade (some episodes and ending)
Kekkai Sensen/Kekkai Sensen & beyond (some episodes and ending of season 1)
Grave of the fireflies (warning: you are going to cry rivers)

Just to put an older title here: The Twelve Kingdoms - Juuni Kokuki. As long as you don't mind that the MC is female. I only watched some episodes from the start cause I was getting some major depressive vibes from it and decided to skip it.
