Based on this study Handholding is viewed as more sexual and cause more anxiety than sleeping together? Source http://www-personal.umich.edu/~kruger/Kruger_et_al_Was_that_cheating.pdf
It's basically the most perverse act two people can do with one another, and frankly I'm disgusted that you're bringing it up so casually like this. Children browse these forums.
We Should Have Slept While Only Holding Hands, And Yet?! Description: My childhood friend who lived next door since preschool, Ja Saeyeon. On the outside, she appears like an adequately pretty girl who’s like a drawing, but only her body has grown; she was a girl whose mental age was truly that of an elementary schooler. We’d spend time together from time to time, but Saeyeon’s parents, who were often not home, would pay me to take care of her, so we merely had a ‘work’ relationship. But this time her spoiled behavior was more severe for some reason. She fretfully asked for me to sleep together with her since she was too scared to sleep by herself. I even sang her a lullaby, but she thought that I was going to run away so, with great care, she asked if we could sleep while holding hands. We then slept together. Really, seriously, we merely slept while only holding hands. But the next morning⎯⎯⎯there was a young girl lying down between us?! So u see, sleeping together is just the prelude, while holding hands is... P.S. Always use gloves during hand-holding.
How dare you bringing up such topic as h-hand-hol... hand-holding! In this religiouslol website nonetheless!!! Shame on you!
FYI The "sex" column refers to the sex of the participant/person filling out the questionnaire. At the bottom of the table it says: "Positive Beta values indicate higher scores for women." To interpret the data, it should be that women see handholding as more indicative of cheating than men. And the anxiety column isn't about "causing anxiety." It's about the attachment anxiety of the participants. Anyway, who needs stats when you can just interpret the numbers however you want?
Wow, i never knew something like this could be a thing. That's quite a statistics. To be honest I always took it as a joke when people, think handholding is lewd. But I am actually quite wrong for thinking that way, color me surprised.
It's the context. Which is what happens when people give you a chart without the background behind it. The question was "Do you see this as cheating behaviour", not "do you find this sexy", so there is already a difference in the question and people's interpretation of the chart. In this light "sleeping in the same bed" can have extenuating circumstances (like lack of beds) but "handholding" is different in that it is deliberately acknowledging that there is a relationship between the 2 apart from the person and his/her significant other. So it is more "cheaty' than sharing a bed.
You degenerates need 10 hail Marys and 20 our fathers to repent, wash yourselves of the sin of viewing hand holding
Actually, I wasn't involved with this one~ Still a fun thing to look at though, especially after people clarified on the context of the chart~
