Go look for school life or slice of life genre. But even in that kind of genre, MC will always find trouble. What kind of MC doesn't have problem? Maybe you can try my recommendation? it's not actually a cooking novel it's an adventure novel with massive amounts of cooking. Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi other recommendations i have are: Takarakuji de 40-oku Atattandakedo Isekai ni Ijuu Suru , I Became the Demon Lord and my Territory is an Uninhabited Island and OreMegane (kinda? trouble somewhat comes for mc but he's very adept at getting out of trouble before it happens)
Isekai nonbiri nouka could fit the bill, there are only a few interractions with the rest of the world and it's never really about confrontation (there are a few "fights", but only a few and rapidly solved without the usual "tantrum spiral" of revenge and so on that you find in many novels).
I like those recommendations especially Cultivation Chat Group, it is filled with death seeking people and Mc is a death seeking magnet whether he is meaning it or not, yeah I see what you did there, no one is bothering anyone, just a bunch of people seeking death, smart thinking

Most cultivation MCs to some degree. But not all to the same extent. If I had to pick one of the more passive ones, End of the Magic Era would be one. I literally can't think of one situation where he picked a fight (unless somehow bidding for an item in an auction you want counts). But he was quite adept at expanding it to suit his needs.
