Suggest to me Mechas that do not have humanoid shapes examples are :
    Zoids
    [IMG]
    Heavy Object
    [IMG]
Walkers from the leviathan series by scott westerfeld
    [IMG]
the closest humanoid I would like to see would be the locust from mechwarrior
    [IMG]

I would prefer animated shows but I am not that picky
Edit: I am also open to tanks and other mechanical war vehicles as long as they are main focus or integral to the story, that there is shooting, and that they are land vehicles ( willing to stretch for amphibious vehicles) examples would be girls und panzer and pumpkin scissors

Loader Bot from 'tales from the borderlands' ?

Do you want the robot to be the mc or just a story with robots with different shapes?

Loaders are actually pretty humanoid if you move their eye up and replace the forklifts with hands they are basically human shapped

There are arguments for and against humanoid mechas.

But it all depends on the purpose, type of mechas you need, what it's supposed to be able to do and how many you can produce, for some

Well, I can only recommend some old anime or cartoons as many new series weren't to my liking, anyway, isn't transformers a good option, (my favourites include: energon and armada, I didn't like the recent adaptations/versions too much :blobsweat_2:)
What about D.I.C.E. (DNA Integrated Cybernetic Enterprises)
It is like zoids but not exactly
    There is also Webdiver
    [IMG]
And also this really old anime called ninja senshi tobikage

People are used to the humanoid shape. They know how to move and use it. But that also means they can't change it too much, as example as in Knights & Magic 'Sure we can put arms on the back. How will you use them?'
