Question Chinese Synopsis = useless?

Why Chinese Synopsis never really tell anything about what the story is about?

eg:
"This is a story about a man who will defy his destiny and conquer the Heavens together with the Spirit Beast Companion HuangQinZhuangBirubirushakngjn!!!
A tale of love and friendship between family, comrades and friends."

...The Mc turn out to be a mass Serial Killer and Spirit Beast HuangQinZhuangBirubirushakngjn only appears in the first 100 chapters (the novel has more than 5200 chapters in total).
All we learnt is that the protagonist is a man...lol

 

Actually HuangQinZhuangBirubirushakngjn was the reincarnation of his past life's master who died trying to save him after he angered QingQingYuanShenGou

 

I think It's intentionally vague to not say the explosive keywords that would turn away a lot of readers. Like I wouldn't even look at it if I saw mass serial killer in the description.

This way, they'd get a lot of visitors to chapter 1?

 

For one s, before coming into this thread, i thought poster would talk about chinese summaries that are MTL and don't mean anything.

 

If it is a male MC then he got to be man, what did you expect him to be? a helicopter?

CN Authors like to try some kind of Philosophical sayings or whatever for their synopsis that probably themselves didn't even understand, and in the end it's only make them seem stupid.

 

I think a lot of the authors of these really long novels are just making stuff up as they go, so it makes sense that you get descriptions that are really vague or only about the first bit of the story.

 

Luckily, there's JP authors saving us; they put the entire synopsis directly into the title. Solved!

Yeah, pretty much all synopsis are useless, i look into the reader review, usually someone does the job

i would love ot read a story where the main protagonist is an apache helicopter giving some freedom to the poor middle east people drowning in oil (for example) !

 

The author themselves don't usually no where the novels really going and just write up things as they go along. Thus they pretty much write some "profound" poem or some "awe inspiring" lines to describe the novel

 

They intentionally make the summary vague because most chinese authors don't have concrete plot going on. They just make stuff up as they go.

 

The synopses r useless cuz u don't need them. With CNs it's like if u hv read one, then u hv read them all.

So, the synopsis becomes author's creative corner- for practicing/showing off their poetic/flowery phrases writing talent/ability.

 

The sypnopsis is very easy to understand, My Dad is Li Gang.

 

there's a saying I like "you cannot pretend to be smarter than you are"

 

Because those novels that you were referring to are work in progress and they can change based on what the author feels that day/week/month

 

It's not like they can say : "it's the same thing over and over for thousands of chapters until a botched-up ending. Please read my next novel."
