[This game will be closed until further notice. It will not accept any more players. Sorry for the inconvenience.] The Zombie Horde A dice-rolling game on Discord. Humanity's last stronghold on Earth is being besieged by hordes upon hordes of zombies. Generals were called upon to lead and battle the zombies. Every day, they will recruit warriors to fight for their cause and every day, they will lose members of their army. This endless loop...will you be the one to put a stop to it? There are five types of zombies known to men: Normal - a regular zombie with no special abilities. Runner - a freshly-made zombie whose muscles haven't degenerated yet and as such, they are able to run. Spewer - a corrosive zombie capable of vomiting and spitting a spray of green acid at its enemies. Erupter - a deformed zombie filled with fiery combustibles. The slight agitation could cause an Erupter to explode, dealing massive AOE damage. Abomination - a large behemoth formed from more than one zombie. These monsters, though slow, have the defense and strength to back up its capabilities. Sometimes, on rare occurrences, the zombies can mutate becoming Mutators of varying categories. Each Mutator has different abilities The Players’ side has five types of warriors they can recruit and use, each warrior specializes in combating a specific type of zombie. Fighter - a regular man, untrained but experienced in brawls. Ranger - a warrior skilled in long-ranged combat. Fire Mage - a knowledgeable warrior who spent most of his or her days studying the art of fiery magical destruction. Ice Mage - a knowledgeable warrior who spent most of his or her days studying the art of frosty AOE spells. Knight - a powerful warrior skilled in the art of offense and defense. Like the zombies, sometimes, Players can combine all types to form a Hero which they can use to fight against the Mutator. The capabilities of the Heroes depend on how many warriors were 'combined' to produce the Heroes. --- Each Player rolls 5d20 per day to determine how many warriors are recruited for each warrior type. The order is determined as numbered above. For instance, if a Player rolls (3, 19, 6, 2, 17), he or she would acquire 3 Fighters, 19 Rangers, 6 Fire Mages, 2 Ice Mages, and 17 Knights. The zombie horde will roll five die each day, depending on the 'City', to determine how many zombies each zombie type attack the city. For instance, if the zombie horde rolls (650, 20, 140, 370, 9), there will be 650 Normals, 20 Runners, 140 Spewers, 370 Erupters, and 9 Abominations besieging the last stronghold. Each day, Players can save their warriors or use them to attack the horde. To determine whether their warriors survive the assault, players roll (# of warriors)d3 '1' means the warrior dies but did not kill an enemy '2' means the warrior is wounded but not before the warrior killed the enemy and went to retire so to earn you 1 G '3' means the warrior killed an enemy and survived to fight another day. Like warriors, Heroes fight the same way. Players roll (remaining Hero HP)d3. Note that the maximum number per roll is 100d3. '1' means the Hero lost 1 HP but didn't bring down Mutator HP. '2' means no one lost HP. '3' means the Hero didn't lose 1 HP and also brought down Mutator HP. When Heroes are used to fight against zombies, they can only fight the zombies corresponding with their power level. When fighting zombies: '1' means the Hero lost 1 HP but didn't kill an enemy. '2' or '3' means the Hero didn't lose 1 HP and also killed the enemy. Money acquired from retired warriors will be used to buy equipment that increase HP and power for Heroes to use. --- Combat Tactics: Ranger: 1 Ranger kill 1 Runner 2 Rangers kill 1 Erupter 2 Rangers kill 1 Spewer 3 Rangers kill 1 Abomination 1 Ranger kill 3 Normals Knight: 1 Knight kill 1 Abomination 1 Knight kill 2 Runners 1 Knight kill 5 Normals 2 Knights kill 1 Erupter 3 Knights kill 1 Spewer Fire Mage: 1 Fire Mage kill 1 Spewer 1 Fire Mage kill 4 Normals 1 Fire Mage kill 2 Runners 2 Fire Mages kill 1 Erupter 3 Fire Mages kill 1 Abomination Ice Mage: 1 Ice Mage kill 1 Erupter 1 Ice Mage kill 1 Spewer 1 Ice Mage kill 3 Normals 1 Ice Mage kill 2 Runners 4 Ice Mages kill 1 Abomination Fighter: 1 Fighter kill 1 Normal 2 Fighters kill 1 Runner 4 Fighters kill 1 Erupter 5 Fighters kill 1 Spewer 10 Fighters kill 1 Abomination --- Character Sheet Template: Name: Level: 1 Gender: Money: 0 G Army: Fighter - 0 Ranger - 0 Fire Mage - 0 Ice Mage - 0 Knight - 0 Heroes: N/A --- Reincarnation: Generals can go through 'Reincarnation' where they give up all their warriors, Heroes, and money in order to rebirth with better rolling stats. So, if a General reincarnates at level 1 and he or she meets all of the requirements, then he or she will reincarnate to level 2 and his or her rolling stats will become 1d30 instead of 1d20. Conditions for Leveling: For each level up, the total number of warriors required in each category increases by 100. For each level up, the number of Heroes required increases by 1. These Heroes must survive through at least one Mutator regardless of win or loss. Reincarnation is costly, Generals need at least 100 G for the first Reincarnation and an extra 100 for each subsequent Reincarnations. Thus, if a General wants to level up to level 2, he or she needs to have at least 100 warriors in each warrior type, at least 1 Hero, and 100 G. --- Every first week of each month, a Mutator will appear. Defeating Mutators will give generous rewards. However, don't fret if Players aren't able to defeat a Mutator. Just based on damage done, Players will receive an increase or two to their recruitment rolls. Every last week of each month, 'reinforcements' will arrive in the forms of five things. Game Host rolls 1d5 to determine what type of reinforcements the Players will get when dealing with the zombies. Destroys 10% of all zombies using a rain of arrows. Destroys 20% of all zombies using a rain of icicles. Destroys 30% of all zombies using a rain of fire. Destroys 40% of all zombies using an array of holy magic. Destroys 50% of all zombies using an ancient weapon known as the NUK.
